Interesting and unexpected to see the Eagles elevate Deguara in addition to Ertz. This means the Eagles will have four tight ends active against the Rams. With DeVonta Smith out, it seems like the Birds might try to lean into more 12 and 13 personnel packages.

Deguara's unexpected elevation signals potential shift to heavier tight end packages.

Unexpectedly elevated from practice squad for Week 4 vs. Rams alongside Zach Ertz, giving the Eagles four active tight ends. The elevation suggests the Eagles may shift toward 12 and 13 personnel packages with DeVonta Smith out. Deguara, 29, is a former third-round pick (2020) with 66 career targets, 53 receptions, 471 yards, and three touchdowns across 77 regular season games. He overlapped with current Eagles tight ends coach Ryan Mahaffey on the Packers (2021–2023).
