Stroud is more accurate under center and thrives on play-action timing.

Stroud is significantly more accurate and effective when operating under center, particularly with play-action, compared to shotgun formations where his footwork becomes sloppy and his ball sails. His performance suffered last year due to the team's inability to run the ball on first down, which forced him into shotgun-heavy second-and-long situations where he is less comfortable.
