Pride Of Detroit on Sam LaPorta

LaPorta's extension talks with Lions stalled; negotiations paused until offseason.

Contract extension negotiations between the Detroit Lions and Sam LaPorta have stalled after four weeks of talks through the weekend. LaPorta's camp wanted to break off conversations if they couldn't reach a deal after four weeks into the season, with LaPorta wanting to fully focus on the field. The sides agreed to pause negotiations until the offseason after a push on Friday and Saturday did not result in a deal.
