Hogs Haven on Athan Kaliakmanis

Seventh-round rookie thrust into action; showed spark but inconsistent in game operation.

Seventh-round rookie quarterback forced into action after Mariota's knee injury in Week 4. Kaliakmanis showed some spark and explosive plays (TD to Treylon Burks, connection with Dyami Brown), described as a gunslinger type, but was not great in consistent operation of the offense. The Colts made life hard on the rookie, and he ultimately slowed things down compared to Mariota, costing the Commanders down the stretch in a 30-13 loss.
