James deactivated for depth; was active previous two weeks

Running back Jordan James is inactive for Week 4. James was active for the previous two games, but the 49ers don't have the luxury of having a player on the active roster who will only be on the punt and punt return teams, indicating he was deactivated for depth management rather than injury.
