Rookie Daniels sets Bucs QB rushing record (56 yards) in first start despite loss

UDFA rookie QB making his first career start completed 19-of-27 passes for 148 yards and 1 TD, along with 8 rushes for 56 yards—a single-game rushing record for a Buccaneers rookie QB. Despite two interceptions and difficult circumstances (poor playcalling, weak protection schemes, longest pass 21 yards), Daniels showed resiliency and grit in a close 17-14 loss, demonstrating why he deserved an NFL roster spot.
