Hampton got nine for a team-high 45 yards and a touchdown. It sure looked like McDaniel made a concerted effort to force the ball into Mitchell's hands despite Hampton being much more efficient. It wasn't until the Chargers' feverish comeback in the fourth quarter that McDaniel decided to get Hampton more involved.

Hampton leads rushers with 45 yards, TD; more efficient than Mitchell

Hampton recorded nine carries for a team-high 45 yards and a touchdown. He was much more efficient than Keaton Mitchell despite receiving fewer carries early in the game. Hampton dove in from two yards out to score a touchdown during the Chargers' 16-play, 85-yard drive in the fourth quarter, and McDaniel got him more involved during the feverish comeback.
