Negative signalRole

Wright's two penalties and poor execution undermine his backup tight end value.

Lions backup TE had brutal performance with pair of penalties. First drive stalled by false start penalty on first down, leading to 54-yard field goal attempt. Second penalty was unnecessary roughness that set team back 15 yards. Source notes: 'Wright had a pair of brutal penalties, an inexcusable performance for a backup tight end.' Not shining as blocker or receiver; mistakes stand out for wrong reasons.
