he got 17 targets. They were hitting him up the seam at will. He made really nice contested calls... This is the TJ Hawinson I got all excited about when he first got to Detroit... he looks fully healthy, ready to go. He kind of looks like Greg Olsen a little bit.

17 targets, seam-heavy usage; elite if Jefferson sidelined or hobbled

Hockenson received 17 targets with the Vikings hitting him up the seam at will; he made really nice contested catches showing the positioning skills he had at Iowa. This is the version of Hockenson the source got excited about when he first arrived in Detroit but never manifested long-term. He looks fully healthy and ready to go, playing similarly to Greg Olsen. Kyler Murray is turning him into Trey McBride of the North, focusing on either the top wide receiver or top tight end. If Justin Jefferson isn't playing at his best or is hobbled, Hockenson might be a good consideration; if Jefferson is out completely, Hockenson might be the guy.
