The Falcoholic on Michael Penix Jr.

Penix looks like a top-10 pick through two games with efficient play and impressive throws.

Penix played within himself, avoided mistakes, and hit some truly impressive throws. He completed 15 of 20 passes for 223 yards and one touchdown, getting the ball out quickly when needed and hanging in against pressure to make impressive throws, particularly on a shot to Drake London and a 31-yard touchdown to Jahan Dotson. Through two games, he's looked very much like the passer the Falcons took with a top-ten pick, and paired with a dominant ground game, he's set to make life very difficult for NFL defenses.
