Hogs Haven on Athan Kaliakmanis

Kaliakmanis' first NFL action: 15-of-33, 183 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.

Rookie seventh-round pick Athan Kaliakmanis relieved Marcus Mariota in the Commanders' loss to Indianapolis, completing 15-of-33 passes for 183 yards and a touchdown with one interception in his first NFL action. The source notes that Kaliakmanis stood tall in an almost nonexistent pocket and took crushing blows from opposing defenders, but the writing felt like it was on the wall once the Colts' defenders began attacking the rookie aggressively.
