Mahomes' decision-making and ball placement enabled receivers' one-on-one opportunities.

Mahomes delivered key throws to his receivers throughout the game, including a beautiful pass down the left sideline to Thornton in the two-minute drill before halftime and a well-executed shoulder fake in the red zone to Thornton to start the fourth quarter. On Worthy's 41-yard jump-ball, Mahomes purposefully put air under the ball to give Worthy a chance to make a play versus a cover-zero look rather than overshooting a deeper pass on the run. Mahomes reflected: 'It doesn't always have to be perfect thrown by me. It's about giving guys chances to make plays.'
