Sometimes, you just have to call it what it is: Justin Herbert stinks right now. Maybe it's just growing pains under Mike McDaniel. Maybe it's the inevitable Jim Harbaugh clock running its course—he's never lasted more than four seasons anywhere as a head coach in the NFL. Or maybe he was always closer to this level of breakdown than we thought. But, in short, this is why it hurts so much when you pay the wrong guy. Because this version of Herbert is simply not getting you anywhere but last place in the division and fired.

Herbert's poor play signals Chargers headed for division last place.

Chargers QB is underperforming significantly; Justin Fields states 'Justin Herbert stinks right now,' attributing it to possible growing pains under Mike McDaniel, the inevitable Jim Harbaugh clock (who has never lasted more than four seasons as an NFL head coach), or Herbert's true level being closer to this breakdown. This version of Herbert is not getting the Chargers anywhere but last place in the division and potential coaching termination.
