NegativeUsageOct 26, 2026
Ripped off a 30-yard touchdown run and several good rushes; combined with Christian McCaffrey for 102 yards on 19 carries; fumble extinguished 49ers' run game enthusiasm as they fell behind significantly.NegativeUsageOct 25, 2026
Black was heavily featured in the 49ers' running game, getting handoffs and running for multiple yards including a 30-yard touchdown run in the second quarter; he was stopped cold by LaCale London on one carry, stopped again on his third straight carry, took it for a yard, rolled for about seven yards, took it for a first down, was stopped after maybe a yard on a toss, pushed his way through the pile for seven yards, was stopped after a four-yard loss, and ran into the defense and fumbled with an assist from Maason Smith.PositiveRoleOct 23, 2026
Kaelon Black has been an excellent complement to Christian McCaffrey in 2026, forming an excellent tandem. Black is a patient, physical runner who does a nice job of taking what his blockers give him. The 49ers will be intent on achieving balance with McCaffrey and Black, and the Falcons will have to decide whether it's worth selling out against the run given the obvious threat of the passing attack.
