Practice squad running back competing for elevation to active roster; has done everything possible to crack the 53-man roster but remains blocked by James Cook III, Ty Johnson, and Ray Davis on the depth chart. Head coach Joe Brady indicated Gore is capable and could be elevated via the new two-call-ups-per-week rule, stating: "just because a guy's not on your 53 right now doesn't mean he's not going to be playing for you Week 1." Brady emphasized that practice squad players must be ready for their opportunity and that some practice squad players are "above guys on the active roster" in his evaluation.

Gore Jr. fumbled on his lone kickoff return attempt, and while he recovered his own fumble, it was not a great look. He also dropped a pass on a screen attempt in the fourth quarter, looking to run before securing the grab. He once again looked like the slower, less explosive option compared to Ian Wheeler, who made players miss in the backfield and displayed good hands and burst. Wheeler appears to be the superior option overall, doing everything Gore Jr. can do but with much more burst and athleticism.
