Kraft caught four passes for 48 yards and 1 TD, with most of the Packers' damage coming over the middle of the field. The Lions' linebackers were not particularly strong in man or zone coverage, though they did contribute to holding Green Bay to just 60 rushing yards and 3.2 yards per carry.PositiveUsageOct 26, 2026

Kraft is identified as a third impactful skill player for the Packers alongside Matthew Golden and Christian Watson. When the Lions roll coverage over the top of the receiving duo, Kraft is often available underneath at the intermediate level. The source notes this creates a challenge for the Lions' defense, as they must account for three receiving threats rather than just two.NegativeMatchupOct 23, 2026
Packers tight end identified as a deep-threat weapon alongside wide receivers Christian Watson and Matthew Golden in Week 7 matchup vs. Lions; Kraft is part of Green Bay's multi-faceted deep-passing attack that defensive coordinator Kelvin Sheppard must account for when deciding coverage priorities; Lions secondary must defend against this three-pronged threat.PositiveMatchupOct 22, 2026
Packers tight end Tucker Kraft is positioned as a key underneath threat if the Lions commit safeties deep to defend the Packers' deep-ball attack. Lions coach Dan Campbell emphasized that Detroit cannot simply play safeties deep to eliminate deep shots because that's when Kraft takes over underneath. This creates a strategic dilemma for the Lions' defense: committing safeties deep leaves Kraft and running backs vulnerable underneath.PositiveRoleOct 22, 2026
Tucker Kraft has returned from injury and is performing well, holding a 17% target share as the third-leading receiver in the Packers' offense. Dan Campbell notes that Kraft 'has come off the injury nicely' and 'has gotten better every week' while 'playing good football right now,' indicating he is fully integrated into the offense and contributing at a high level.NegativeRoleOct 21, 2026
The newly paid tight end has had a slow start to the season with 25 catches for 249 yards and one touchdown through six weeks. His limited production reflects the Packers' overall offensive struggles and the team's need for additional help on offense, particularly with injuries affecting the receiving corps.
