Player insights

38

Bo Nix

NegativeProjection5:33

Bo Nix struggled significantly in Week 1, appearing rattled and out of sync with his receivers. He faced constant pressure and failed to make the correct reads, leading to a poor offensive showing for the Broncos.

Insight page

Brenton Strange

NegativeUsage70:44

Strange is a viable fill-in tight end while waiting for Brock Bowers to return. He is touchdown-dependent in the Jaguars' offense, but acceptable for standard or half-PPR formats.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

NegativeBust75:56

Tate is a sell candidate due to the poor state of the Tennessee Titans offense. Despite leading the team with 6 targets, the offense failed to produce, and the quarterback play from Cam Ward was discouraging. It is better to trade him while there is still some optimism rather than waiting for the offense to potentially collapse further.

Insight page

Chris Rodriguez

PositiveUsage34:40

Chris Rodriguez is viewed as a secondary option in the Jacksonville backfield, playing 40% of snaps but managing only 23 yards on 6 carries. While he secured a goal-line touch, his lack of target involvement makes him less desirable than Bashal Tootin.

Insight page

Christian Watson

PositiveBreakout105:15

Watson is a buy/hold. He is expected to be a WR1 this season if he stays healthy. Ken Walker is highly confident in his talent and advises against playing scared regarding his injury history.

Insight page

Chuba Hubbard

NegativeUsage81:47

Hubbard is a prime sell-high candidate. While he saw usage in Week 1, Jonathan Brooks is expected to eat into his work share as the season progresses. The Week 1 split was influenced by a high-scoring game script, and Brooks' explosive play on a wheel route suggests he will eventually command more touches.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

PositiveValue70:37

Loveland is a priority target and a 'buy-low' model favorite. He is ranked ahead of other tight end options like Kincaid and is considered a must-start in Week 2.

Insight page
PositiveValue87:00

Loveland is a clear buy-low target after a quiet Week 1. He led the team in routes run and saw a red zone target despite the Bears' high-scoring game. He can likely be acquired by moving bench wide receivers, as his market value may have dipped slightly due to the lack of box-score production.

Insight page

Dallas Goedert

NegativeUsage74:31

Goedert is a strong start when AJ Brown is out, but he is a potential sit candidate depending on the status of other flex options like Rhamondre Stevenson.

Insight page

Davante Adams

PositiveValue67:03

Despite concerns regarding age and lack of red zone usage in Week 1, Adams is a buy-low target. The potential for the Raiders' defense to struggle without Myles Garrett could force the team to throw more, increasing his value.

Insight page

David Montgomery

NegativeValue98:28

Montgomery is a hold. He provides steady, locked-in production that is valuable to keep on a roster.

Insight page

De'Von Achane

NegativeValue33:52

Devon Achane is considered a fair trade piece to move in exchange for a receiver like Drake London. Given the scarcity of the running back position, managers should be cautious, but he represents the appropriate tier of value to target for a buy-low on London.

Insight page
NegativeUsage70:36

Achane is a sell candidate following Week 1; his efficiency was inflated by a single 18-yard draw play in garbage time. Excluding that play, he managed only 28 yards on 8 carries (3.5 YPC). He lacks a significant red zone role, and with other running backs drafted in his range outperforming him, he is no longer the target he was during draft season.

Insight page

Drake London

PositiveValue21:31

Ken Walker suggests buying low on Drake London, noting that his price will likely continue to drop with another Cooper Rush start, but managers should remain optimistic as the team gets closer to starting Michael Penix Jr.

Insight page
PositiveValue23:59

Drake London is a strong buy-low candidate despite a poor Week 1 performance. He remains the clear-cut alpha receiver for the Falcons, maintaining a 98.2% snap share and 21% target share. His upside is tied to the eventual return of Michael Penix Jr., with whom he has historically produced high-end fantasy numbers.

Insight page

Evan Engram

PositiveUsage7:09

Evan Engram was a bright spot on an otherwise struggling offense in Week 1, contributing to a successful early touchdown drive. However, the team's inability to sustain production afterward limits his immediate outlook.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

PositiveValue107:06

Wilson is a buy. He was the clear-cut target leader for the Jets in Week 1 and is projected for 150 targets on the season. He provides a steady floor and is currently undervalued at roughly 80% of his true value.

Insight page

Jalen Coker

NegativeInjury65:30

Coker is dealing with an ankle injury that has him in a boot, though it is described as precautionary. Despite the injury, he remains a strong option who out-produced Tetairoa McMillan in Week 1.

Insight page

Jameson Williams

PositiveValue68:03

Williams is a strong buy-low candidate after a 'stinker' in Week 1. He is expected to explode in the upcoming game against the Bills, and managers are encouraged not to lose faith.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

NegativeUsage3:34

Jalen Waddle had a disappointing Week 1 performance for the Broncos, recording only three targets and a drop. The offense appeared out of sync, and Waddle's lack of involvement was notable given the high draft capital the team invested to acquire him.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

PositiveValue98:28

Love is a buy. Despite a modest Week 1 stat line, he looked explosive and slippery on the field. Historically, players drafted in his range tend to emerge as fantasy RB1s by the second half of the season. His price remains in check due to Tyler Allgeier's involvement, making him an ideal target.

Insight page

Jonah Coleman

PositiveUsage6:45

Jonah Coleman, who was hyped as a late-round sleeper during the offseason, saw his role diminish as the team stopped deploying him. This lack of usage makes him a disappointment for fantasy managers who trusted the preseason buzz.

Insight page

Jonathon Brooks

PositiveBreakout81:47

Brooks remains a high-upside target despite a limited Week 1 role. He showed explosiveness on a wheel route, and his involvement is expected to increase as he gets further removed from his injury. He is a preferred stash over Hubbard for the remainder of the season.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

PositiveProjection72:30

Herbert is a buy-low quarterback candidate. Despite some nervousness, his usage in Mike McDaniel's offense, specifically the heavy use of play-action, suggests a high ceiling for the remainder of the season.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

PositiveUsage0:38

Kenneth Walker served as the engine of the Chiefs' offense in Week 1, receiving heavy usage on the first drive and throughout the game, including runs up the middle and to the outside. This usage represents a significant shift from the traditional pass-heavy Andy Reid/Patrick Mahomes scheme, and the team is clearly prioritizing him as a focal point following his major free-agent signing.

Insight page

Kyle Pitts

NegativeUsage90:21

Pitts is a sell candidate in shallower leagues. He played only 63% of snaps and was used primarily as a decoy, drawing only two targets despite running routes on 80% of dropbacks. With Drake London healthy, Pitts has consistently struggled to command volume, and he is now ranked as a low-end TE1/TE2.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

NegativeUsage73:43

Lloyd is not currently startable due to a lack of consistent snap share and the Packers' offensive line struggles. The team does not yet show full trust in him despite his big-play ability.

Insight page

Michael Penix Jr.

PositiveProjection25:15

Michael Penix Jr. is viewed as the key to unlocking the Falcons' passing game. Historical data shows that Drake London produced nearly 20 fantasy points per game with Penix, making his eventual return to the starting lineup a major positive catalyst for the offense.

Insight page

Omarion Hampton

PositiveValue22:16

Ken Walker remains committed to O'Marrion Hampton despite a poor Week 1 performance, citing the Chargers' offensive potential and a favorable upcoming schedule against the Raiders and Bills as reasons to pay mid-second round value to acquire him.

Insight page

Patrick Mahomes

PositiveProjection3:46

Patrick Mahomes looked encouragingly healthy in Week 1, showing no signs of being hindered by his previous ACL injury. While the passing game still needs development due to the current receiver corps, his rushing touchdown and overall mobility provide a positive outlook for the rest of the season.

Insight page

Rhamondre Stevenson

PositiveUsage74:53

Stevenson should continue to be played as long as Trayvon Henderson is inactive. He is a high-volume play at home against the Steelers.

Insight page

Rome Odunze

PositiveValue66:56

Odunze is a recommended buy-low target coming off a poor Week 1 performance, largely due to his role within the Bears' offense.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

PositiveValue67:24

McLaurin is a buy-low candidate after a predictable struggle against the Eagles in Week 1. He is expected to bounce back in his upcoming matchup against Dallas.

Insight page

Tetairoa McMillan

NegativeRole65:23

While still considered the alpha receiver over Jalen Coker rest-of-season, the gap between the two has narrowed significantly following Week 1 production, making him a potential sell candidate if managers are concerned about his recent output.

Insight page

Travis Etienne

NegativeBust98:28

Etienne is a sell candidate based on current market value and his role within the offense.

Insight page

Travis Kelce

PositiveUsage5:08

Travis Kelce remains a key part of the Chiefs' offense, recording one of the longest catches of his career (38 yards) in Week 1. His performance benefited from the Broncos' inability to tackle, highlighting his continued utility despite his veteran status.

Insight page
NegativeBust95:58

Kelce is a sell candidate. His Week 1 performance relied on a single long yards-after-catch play, which likely represents his highest yardage output of the season. Given his age and the lack of consistent target volume, he is a player to move if possible.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

PositiveProjection10:20

Zay Flowers looked unstoppable in the Ravens' offense during Week 1 when healthy. Despite dealing with hamstring tightness, he is viewed as a 'supernova' type of play when attached to Lamar Jackson, making him a preferred hold or target over other options.

0:00This is an iHeart Podcast. Guaranteed Human. Welcome to the Fantasy Pros Football Podcast.
0:05I'm Ryan Warmly, joined by Andrew Erickson for our Tuesday show.
0:08We obviously don't do this for week one because it's trays and vines and sells.
0:13It doesn't really make sense ahead of week one.
0:16But ahead of week two, we are kicking things off for the season on Tuesday mornings with Erickson and myself.
0:22We're coming off of a very interesting Monday night football game.
0:26I was telling you, Erickson, before the show that I only watched most of the first half.
0:31I didn't quite finish the second quarter. I had to leave the house, go do some other stuff last night, but I
0:38was following along with the box score. And holy cow, Kenneth Walker.
0:42I mean, he already was like, it was a very interesting game from him before I left.
0:48And then it just got even more exciting for anybody who invested in Walker.
0:52You were also telling me before the show, Erickson, that you saw a stat that there were 28 missed tackles from the Broncos, which is also astonishing.
1:01I want to start off with this game. We're not going to talk about Monday Night Football every single week.
1:08But this, of course, was, I thought, compelling enough that we want to hit on it a little before we get into our buys and sells.
1:16Besides like just holy cow, Kenneth Walker. What can you say about this Monday Night Football game?
1:22I mean, the Chiefs offense. Kenneth Walker, he was the engine.
1:25He was everything that they wanted to do, especially from the jump.
1:29If you just look at the first drive for the Kansas City Chiefs, it was all Ken Walker, all running up the
1:36middle, run out to the outside with Ken Walker, which is very, very different from what we've seen in this past happy
1:43Chiefs offense traditionally under Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes.
1:46So they really are adjusting on the fly. I think considering the personnel that they have, they don't have the greatest array of wide receivers.
1:54Travis Kelsey is an older tight end and Kenneth Walker is the guy they spent big money in free agency.
2:01And yeah, I mean, when you look at who made the biggest moves in the offseason, Ken Walker signing in case he was obviously a massive move.
2:09And they saw the return on their investment immediately with this just absolute monster game.
2:14And then, of course, on the other side, channel waddle does absolutely nothing after the Broncos trade a first run pick to get him on their roster.
2:23So two very different outcomes for these two teams.
2:26My homes had a rushing touchdown, which was really good.
2:29The fact that he didn't look like he was being hindered by his ACL injury, I thought was really encouraging for him rest of season.
2:37Now, the passing game still has work to do with just the general receivers of the Chiefs have.
2:43But back to the Broncos defense, 28 missed tackles, 247 yards after missed tackles.
2:48According to next-gen stats, the most yards allowed by any defense in a game after missed tackles since 2018.
2:54Eight defensive players on the Broncos missed multiple tackles.
2:57And it was comical, dude. Like, Rashi Rice had two targets.
3:00He caught one for a touchdown because the guy just bounced off of Rashi Rice and he just like rumbled into the end zone.
3:08Travis Kelsey had one of his longest catches of his NFL career.
3:1238-year-old Travis Kelsey just rumbling down the field because the Broncos could not tackle anybody.
3:17And, of course, when you are going against a running back like Ken Walker, yeah, that guy is going to definitely make it tough for your defense.
3:25But it wasn't just Ken Walker. I mean, every one of the Chiefs with the ball in their hands was dominating this Broncos defense.
3:33And offensively, Bo Nix, Davis Webb, that marriage did not look like it was in sync whatsoever.
3:39He played rattled. He was under pressure, not making the right reads.
3:43And the fact that Waddle really wasn't involved was very, very strange.
3:46I think only three targets and he also had a drop.
3:50It felt very like there's a lot of jokes on Sunday about with the Chargers.
3:55Oh, the fell for it again award offseason champs.
3:58I feel like I deserve a fell for it again award in terms of trusting Sean Payton for fantasy managers like Jonah Coleman.
4:05He was talking up all summer. Oh, we've seen enough.
4:08We don't even deploy him anymore. So he became a very popular late round sleeper.
4:13You know, Jalen Waddle, obviously somebody that a lot of people here at Fantasy Pros are very excited about and what his
4:20role could be in the new offense. And then, you know, you come through and look at the box score and just in watching the game, you're right.
4:29It feels out of sync. And, you know, they had the early touchdown to Evan Ingram was a nice drive.
4:36But besides that, like you get three points the rest of the game.
4:40And I know the Chiefs defense is sort of revamped this offseason, but like Mansour Delane went out in this game.
4:47So you don't even have that key piece after the early interception.
4:51I know this is an arrowhead. A lot of excitement with Mahomes coming back.
4:55I'll tell you what I kind of felt Erickson and then we'll get into the trades after this is.
5:02I felt like this is sort of the bow, the final bow put on a week one of the bullies are back.
5:09And by that, I mean last season Josh Allen was in the playoffs, but obviously once again didn't make it to the Super Bowl.
5:16Lamar Jackson and the Ravens really like inexplicably down year.
5:20Lots of injuries. Bad season. The Chiefs inexplicably down year.
5:23Mahomes gets hurt at the end of the season.
5:26Tears his ACL. All this stuff. It very much felt to me and it's only week one.
5:31Things could totally change. It felt to me like we are sort of back to where we were, you know, two to
5:38four years ago for that few year stretch of the AFC is.
5:42Owned by some combo of Chiefs, Bills and Ravens as the three juggernauts.
5:46And again, we'll see what happens in January. We'll see what happens in October, right?
5:51It's a long season. But that was kind of how I felt watching these three teams like, oh, we're kind of back
5:58to status quo in the AFC from what we've seen for the earlier part of this decade.
6:04Big dogs are back. That's exactly how I would look at that type of analysis that you just kind of laid out there.
6:11Would say that I think the Ravens drew the easiest of the three opponents in week one and the Saints will probably be a decent layup for them.
6:20But again, what the Ravens did offensively, they looked unstoppable with Zay Flowers when he was healthy and even in the second half.
6:28So I do think that that is a good note to make that.
6:32Yeah, the top dogs are back on top. I would agree with them having the easiest opponent, although I don't think the
6:39Colts are going to prove to be an easy opponent this season.
6:43I think they're just a very average team and the Ravens made them look well below average.
6:49It wasn't like they were facing the Dolphins or the Browns or anybody like that.
6:53There's still other good teams in the AFC. See, I'm not saying that like the conference race is over or anything, but
7:01and to tie a bow on week one, which we saw tied for the highest scoring week one ever in NFL history or since the merger.
7:09What's interesting, though, is the four primetime games all went under their projected totals every single primetime game, which I thought was
7:16kind of a curious nugget when you're looking at it from a betting angle, looking at the projected totals.
7:22All the one o'clock games, four o'clock games, just shootout after shootout.
7:26So just another interesting nugget there from week one as we now get ready for week two.
7:32Let's get ready for week two by diving into our trade strategy show.
7:36We're going to give you some buys, some sells.
7:39We'll emphasize this throughout the episode, but I just want to say it at the top of the episode because I said this a lot last year.
7:47I think it's relatively easy to point out buy lows and sell highs.
7:52Generally speaking, a fantasy, I think what is a trickier skill and sometimes the more valuable skill is being able to point
7:59out the buy highs and the sell lows, the guys that are already going in that direction that you want to lean into.
8:06We're going to have both throughout the episode. We're not just doing one or the other, but I just wanted to mention
8:13that because you often see podcast episodes out there and articles about buy lows and sell highs.
8:19I think the reverse of the buy highs and sell lows are often even more compelling to discuss.
8:25So we're going to have those sprinkled in as well.
8:28The way we're going to kick off this show, Erickson, is with you giving some higher level, macro level trade strategy and
8:35advice that you are thinking about this week. It can be about a type of manager you are looking at when trying to make trades.
8:43It can be a type of player you are trying to identify.
8:47It can just be one player that you are so all in on.
8:51However you want to approach this, what is your 30,000 foot view trade strategy advice for heading into week two?
8:58It takes two to tango worm. You can't do the tango solo as much as I'd love that.
9:04Love to dance. I wouldn't dream of it. I wouldn't dream of it.
9:08The reason I bring that up when it comes to the trade advice column this week is because sometimes we too often
9:15get hyper-focused on, I got to trade this player.
9:18I got to get this player. I got to upgrade at this position, et cetera.
9:23Whereas it's a lot easier if you look at certain managers in your league and help them identify what their team needs.
9:30And the easiest way to do that, because there's no sugarcoating, if you drafted A.J.
9:35Brown, you drafted Zay Flowers, you drafted Lab McConkie, yeah, you need a wide receiver because those guys are all hurt in some capacity.
9:42Obviously, Brown is out for the longest amount of time.
9:46Zay Flowers doesn't look like it's going to be necessarily long-term, but it's a hamstring injury.
9:51And Lab McConkie is dealing with a rib injury.
9:54Also, we have some quarterback injuries as well when it comes to the super flex drafts, like Kyler Murray, who's going to be out.
10:01Sam Darnold, who's going to be out. So I think that targeting these managers with deals to help them fill the voids
10:09of their roster is a really good strategy because they're just more willing to make a deal because they have to overcome
10:16a certain injury, especially if they didn't draft depth behind those certain players.
10:20So I think just easiest thing to do this week, find the A.J.
10:24Brown manager, right? We know he's going to be out for the longest.
10:28He has the biggest injury from week one in terms of being on the short-term injury reserve.
10:34So I would approach that manager and try to make a deal this week.
10:38I think that's fair. And just quickly on the takes two to tango point, it is very easy, I think, in the
10:45age of trade analyzers online, of which I think Fantasy Bros has a wonderful one that I would highly encourage everybody to use as part of my playbook.
10:54But it's not perfect in the sense that you still need the other manager to actually want to do the trade.
11:01You can't just say, oh, look, the value is correct here.
11:05Or, oh, hey, in Dynasty, you should be rebuilding here based on this.
11:09Or, you know, we line up perfectly according to this tool.
11:13Whether it's Fantasy Bros' tool or not, like you do need – I wouldn't even say like negotiation in terms of that as a skill.
11:21Or like being able to – like manipulation sounds too skeevy.
11:24What I'm trying to say is like you need to make sure that you and the other manager are on the same
11:31page about these players' values, these players' timelines, your team needs, everything like that.
11:36And that to me is a real skill just beyond finding value or identifying a good player to go after.
11:42So the takes two to tango point I think is really important because it's very easy to forget that in the age
11:49of trade calculators online or in the age of like everybody's played Madden and can just go, you know, make any trade accepted, anything like that.
11:58I think it's easy to forget that. So I think it's a worthwhile point.
12:02Yeah, I think that the goal of the trade is never just to – I just got to swindle all these people
12:10because that's just going to make people not want to trade with you if you just try to get always the best deal.
12:17You always have to win every single trade. Guys, breaking news here.
12:21Both teams can win the trade. It is very possible and honestly I think should be your goal more often than not
12:28to make both teams making the deal better and making every – the 10 other managers in your league annoyed.
12:34Because two teams just got better because they made a transaction that benefited both parties.
12:39So again, be open to the idea that you don't need to just sell high on a player that's an obvious sell
12:46high or vice versa because you need to get rid of this certain player.
12:51But use trades to make two rosters in your league better.
12:55The goal is not to win the trade. The goal is to make your team better.
13:00And you can do that by taking a quote unquote value hit.
13:04You can do that by finding, you know, whatever it is.
13:07Like I just – the goal is to make your team better.
13:11It's not to be able to post on social media.
13:14Look at this trade I just got away with.
13:17Can you believe how dumb the co-manager is? Like that's – those are two different types of trading and there's one that we prefer here for sure.
13:26Football is back, folks. And it's time to level up your approach to the NFL and college football this season because Polymarket is here.
13:34Polymarket is a legal prediction market now available in all 50 states.
13:38And unlike traditional sportsbooks on Polymarket, you can trade on all things football from the Saturday and Sunday slates to who wins
13:45the Heisman to who performs the halftime show. Polymarket gives you the freedom to cash out instantly.
13:50If the momentum swings, you can sell it off in real time.
13:54You are in control. No one can lock you out.
13:57You can also buy in anytime. So when the market dips, like if a team starts slow and drops to say 40%, that's not a loss.
14:06That's when you buy in. At Polymarket, you can buy cheap and ride the momentum back up.
14:11Polymarket is so confident you'll never go back to the old way.
14:15They're issuing a challenge. They are giving you a $50 bonus when you deposit just $10.
14:20Sign up right now with promo code FPPOD. That's polymarket.us and use promo code FPPOD to get a $50 bonus when you deposit just $10.
14:28All right, Erickson, we're going to start on the positive side with some players that we are buying right now.
14:35You've got two. I've got one. Who is your player to buy?
14:39I'm going to go with Drake London, wide receiver for the Atlanta Falcons, obviously coming off a terrible game with Cooper Rush
14:46as the Falcons quarterback on the road against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
14:49Predictably, Drake London struggled in this certain contest, but I think it's still not up for debate who the clear-cut alpha number
14:56one wide receiver and pass target in the Falcons roster.
15:00It's Drake London. Still played 98.2% of the snaps, 92.3% route participation.
15:04Did see five targets, so trailing only Bijan Robinson in the Falcons offense.
15:08Still a strong 21% target share. So two catches for 29 yards is obviously terrible, but there's hope at the light of
15:15the tunnel for these Falcons team in the passing game, at least from a Drake London perspective, in my opinion, and that's
15:22in the form of Michael Penix Jr. because the upside case with London was always if Michael Penix Jr.
15:28would take over the starting job and once he was healthy, because if you look over the last two seasons, London was
15:35nearly eclipsing 20 fantasy points per game in full PPR, 92 receiving yards, 11 targets per game with Michael Penix Jr.
15:42as his quarterback over the last two seasons. So the fact that you can now get Drake London cheaper than you drafted
15:49him, and the thesis of the play of Drake London and his upside remains the same, I think that this just makes
15:56a lot of sense, especially if you are one of these teams hurting at wide receiver.
16:02If you have a lad injury, or Zay, or an A.J.
16:05Brown, Drake London is someone that I'm targeting, especially with all my A.J.
16:09Brown rosters that need some wide receiver firepower, that I'm willing to invest even if Michael Penix Jr.
16:15doesn't play in week two or week three. I know eventually he is going to be healthy enough to play, and you're
16:22going to see Drake London flirt with wide receiver one numbers when he's on our center.
16:27We talked earlier this week, actually, with Debro on the tailgate about how Drake, like I view Drake London and Kyle Pitts and everybody not named B.
16:36John Rombasin of the Falcons as very sittable right now.
16:39Like even if you invested a lot of draft capital in these guys, that you should be willing to sit them for
16:46as long as Michael Penix isn't the starting quarterback.
16:49But you made the good point on that show, and again here, that just because we are really nervous about him for
16:57the next one to three weeks, like however long it is that Penix is not the quarterback, that's not the whole season.
17:04And there will be a bounce back that we expect once Penix is healthy on the field again, and we've seen that
17:11in the past, that those two can have a strong connection for fantasy managers.
17:15Let me throw a one-for-one at you, because they're back-to-back in the consensus rest-of-season rankings on fantasypros.com right now.
17:21Zay Flowers or Drake London? Who would you rather have rest-of-season?
17:25Flowers dealing with the hamstring injury, London dealing with the quarterback uncertainty.
17:29Both maybe won't be dealing with those respective issues as of a couple of weeks from now.
17:34It remains to be seen on both. But they are 10th and 11th in rest-of-season rankings.
17:40Obviously there was a bigger gap during draft season.
17:42As of right now, who do you like better?
17:45I'll take the bird in hand with Zay Flowers if that even makes sense.
17:50Well, when you said bird in hand, does he mean the Ravens or the Falcons?
17:55That's why I did it, because I knew I was going to stump you with that, because they're both bird teams.
18:02But Zay Flowers is my guy all draft season.
18:04I can't jump off the Flowers bandwagon, because he's got a little tightness in his hamstring.
18:10Obviously, it concerns me, but I... Dude, how many yards would Zay Flowers have gone for if he didn't get hurt in the first half of that game?
18:19I mean, he was on pace for over 300.
18:22That wouldn't have held in all likelihood, but... Probably, but we can dream, can't we?
18:26200 yards maybe would have been in the range of outcomes.
18:30So, the fact that London still may have some lower end production with the quarterback issues in Atlanta until we see Michael Panix Jr.
18:38versus Zay Flowers maybe missing some time. I'm more confident right now that Zay Flowers attached to Lamar Jackson is potentially supernova type of play.
18:46So, I'm willing to wait on Zay Flowers. So, I will take Zay Flowers in that particular situation.
18:52But I don't think you need to pay a cost of potentially like a Zay Flowers to get someone like Drake on,
18:59because the sentiment around this team is just so bad.
19:02The Falcons, oh my God, they're so bad. The quarterback is so bad.
19:06Everything is so bad. When Michael Panix Jr. can actually really be a big lifter to this offense.
19:12And two, just generally speaking, doing this trade show with you over the years, Worm, I've noticed that any time that we
19:19get a wide receiver, an elite wide receiver, quarterback gets hurt.
19:23I think the process always says just go buy that receiver.
19:26Because it seems like more often than not, the volume triumphs and comes through now.
19:31This isn't 100% hit rate. Justin Jefferson obviously is the bear case from last year.
19:36But remember last year with Jamar Chase? Dude, Joe Burrow went down.
19:40I was on the sign of, I want to trade Jamar Chase.
19:44I want to get out of this business. And that was wrong because Jamar Chase just ended up seeing insane amount of
19:51volume from Joe Flacco as the quarterback. So, I think there's going to be a way where Drake London's going to be fine.
19:58He's going to get a ton of volume as the clear-cut number one in this offense.
20:03And I think that when in doubt, when an elite receiver loses his starting quarterback, you just buy low.
20:10And I think that works out more often than not.
20:13I want to throw a running back at you as sort of a head-to-head.
20:17Because obviously, receiver is more just about the rankings.
20:20I think a running back for a receiver is a more common type of a trade.
20:25So, I'm looking here. If you look strictly at RB11 versus wide receiver 11, that would be like Devon Achan.
20:32Straight up for Drake London. If you look a little bit lower, if that feels like a lot for you, a guy
20:39like Javante Williams, Breeze Hall, DeAndre Swift, Kyron Williams, Jeremiah Love, that might start to be getting too low to get it
20:46done, just depending on if the manager of Drake London is thinking the same way you are or not.
20:52Do any of those names stick out to you as a fair deal for both sides?
20:58Did you mention Achan? Achan is the first. Achan's RB11 and Drake London's wide receiver 11.
21:03So, that would be sort of like lining up those two things.
21:07Travis Achan? Oh, no. I'm sorry. Devon Achan is RB11.
21:10Achan is RB18. He's the next guy after Jeremiah Love.
21:13Okay, I think that's probably more of the department I'd be looking to ship off.
21:18Because running backs, more scarce of a position. So, you definitely want to make sure you're getting a lot back.
21:24I guess you can probably trade a tier down in running back to get a receiver like a Drake London, especially if
21:31you're considering buying low on this particular player. So, I think that Travis Achan would probably be, that'd be more of the
21:39range I'd be looking to deal for London. And, again, you could also just wait another week.
21:44You get another Cooper Rush start. The price is going to keep going down on somebody like Drake London, even though you
21:51should be more optimistic because the more weeks they go by, It's a week closer to Penix.
21:57The sooner, yes, the sooner that we get. So, it is trying to find the perfect time to strike here with London
22:04because Penix is going to be coming back sooner rather than later.
22:08Yeah. Yeah. I'll go to my player to buy here.
22:11It's another guy who was going kind of in that round two range during drafts.
22:16It's O'Marrion Hampton. And this is like, I don't actually know that I have my finger quite on the pulse of what
22:23the fantasy community at large is thinking about Hampton specifically.
22:26Obviously, everybody is very disappointed with week one from the Chargers.
22:30It knocked a lot of people out of their survivor pools.
22:33And it just looked really bad. Like, Herbert did not look good.
22:37The marriage between him and Mike McDaniel didn't look good.
22:40The offensive line didn't look good. The offense really took a step back once Ladd McConkie was out of the game.
22:47And I just kind of want to plant my flag on, man, maybe I'm going to go down with the ship.
22:54I don't want to be out on this business yet.
22:57I want to still be investing in the McDaniel, Herbert, Harbaugh, you know, triumvirate here and trusting that we spent all summer thinking about this.
23:05And some people like Debro, for example, on some of our shows this summer was pushing back a little on, hey, we're
23:12maybe out over our skis a bit on this Chargers offense.
23:16And his big point has been that he always felt like Mike McDaniel was maybe more of a Tyree Kill merchant than
23:23we have been willing to admit in the past.
23:26I'm not ruling out that possibility. But I spent all summer really excited about this team.
23:31I'm not getting off of that from one bad game, especially in that bad game where their wide receiver one got hurt
23:38halfway through and they struggled to adjust. And I think Hampton is the guy that's representative of that for me, because if
23:45you look at his performance in the game, like he did get the touchdown.
23:50But other than that, it wasn't so good. I mean, 43 yards.
23:54It was like what? Three and a half yards per attempt.
23:57I think, yeah, 12, 12 carries 43 yards. So 3.6 yards per attempt.
24:02Zero targets. I mean, this was the first time that any fumbled, any fumbled.
24:06And this was also the first time that Herbert has not thrown to a running back in a game.
24:12Like all this stuff, I just felt like this was really weird.
24:16And I think it's a little bit of lazy is not the right word.
24:21It's a little too easy to just say, well, hey, Patriots lost to the Raiders last year in week one.
24:27Like I know weird stuff happens in week one.
24:30It's not always as straightforward as a Super Bowl representative loses to the team with the number one overall pick, right?
24:37Like I'm not, I think it's too easy to just point to that and say, well, weird stuff happens week one.
24:44We'll just throw our hands up and it doesn't matter.
24:47This could matter. But to me, this matters more in the sense of like, I don't think the Chargers defense is going
24:54to be nearly as good as it was last year.
24:57And I am a little worried about the offensive line.
25:00This is not, I want to get out of the business of these Chargers that we were so excited to invest in this summer.
25:08So Hampton to me is the one that's most representative of it because he had a bad game in every respect other than the touchdown.
25:16I think this could apply to a guy like Herbert if you have a need at quarterback, you know, or wherever else
25:23you want to look with this team. But again, for me, Hampton, I would still pay the same price as I would
25:31have a week ago to go acquire him. He's already 12 in the rest of season consensus rankings.
25:36That's dropped three spots since the games on Sunday.
25:39If you look at consensus, I'm very willing to still pay that like mid-second round value, whatever that looks like in your
25:46eyes to go get him if I need a running back.
25:50I'd rather be overly optimistic about this Chargers offense still as opposed to under optimistic about this.
25:55I don't want to be overly pessimistic about it.
25:58And if, again, if that means I go down with the ship, I'm okay with that.

27:16Okay, Chicken Nugget fans, I've got huge news. The new Burger King Chicken Nuggets just dropped, and they are the crispiest, the
27:23juiciest, and the tastiest chicken nuggets ever at Burger King.
27:27Burger King heard that a lot of you didn't like the old chicken nuggets, so they got to work and reinvented them.
27:34To go along with the new chicken nuggets, a lot of the sauces were reinvented too, because better chicken nuggets deserve better sauces.
27:41We're talking new buffalo sauce, honey mustard, sweet and sour, and even a whole new option too, the new special savory sauce,
27:48which is only available for a limited time at participating U.S.
27:52restaurants. I mean, you need to taste it all for yourself.
27:56This new chicken nugget, reinvented based on real feedback, is made with 100% white meat chicken, and is now better than ever.
28:03You gotta try the new Burger King Chicken Nuggets and Sauces today.
28:07Next two weeks for the Chargers are the Raiders and the Bills.
28:10So, prime opportunities for someone like O'Meara and Hampton to run wild.
28:14So, that's kind of the angle I was always thinking in the back of my mind when it came to O'Meara and
28:21Hampton, because missed half of his rookie season, a lot of projection with what his role would be, would there be another running back involved?
28:29Keith Mitchell did get a little bit of run.
28:32The zero targets was probably the biggest concern. In a game where they're trailing, and this quarterback who's been known for throwing
28:40the ball to running backs, an offensive play caller who's been known to dial up targets for running backs, zero targets.
28:46Keith Mitchell actually technically had one target, but it was wiped away due to a penalty.
28:51So, that was just really, really weird. And maybe that's really where it's, okay, that's something that we can't take away too
28:59harshly from week one, because that's not going to happen again.
29:02Especially the fact that Ladd didn't even play fully in the second half, and they still had zero running back targets.
29:09That's just very, very bizarre there. Hampton still scored the touchdown, because ultimately that's how Hampton pays off, where you draft him, is touchdowns.
29:17Touchdowns, yeah. Right, that's what he has to do.
29:20He has to score a bunch of touchdowns, and that role doesn't seem like it's going to be threatened, whether it's Keaton Mitchell or Kamadi Vidal.
29:28And he scored in week one, in a bad performance by the Chargers offense, he ended up still scoring and still being
29:35a decent play for you in your lineup. So, the next two weeks, I think that if you have Hampton, maybe that's
29:42another discussion, you revisit it, because after week, or from week four onward, the Chargers schedule gets much tougher, where they have to play brutal defenses.
29:51So, maybe Hampton, we're talking about him entering week four as a sell high, after he scores four touchdowns, in the next two weeks.
29:58But for right now, entering week two, with the sentiment around this Chargers offense being generally poor, I think that this is
30:06a sharp play, because of the price you have to pay to get Hampton.
30:10I think the schedule is an interesting point, too, because, yes, the next two weeks seem very obvious.
30:16You know, there's a lot of talk, just in terms of national, like, not fantasy-specific analysis, but national analysis about the Chargers,
30:23in terms of, like, well, they better get this Vegas game, now that they've lost to Arizona, because after that, it goes
30:30at Buffalo, at Seattle, home for Denver, at Kansas City, at the Rams, home for Houston, at Baltimore.
30:36There's a bye week in there, but besides that, there is no breaks.
30:40Those are the teams that they are facing the next several weeks.
30:44But, the Bills, not that great against, you know, We just saw what they allowed to David Montgomery.
30:50Seattle's very good. Denver just had all these missed tackles, and got run over by Kenneth Walker.
30:55You know, the Rams might not have Miles Garrett in that game.
30:59The Ravens, despite winning by a lot, still gave up a lot of fantasy points to Jonathan Taylor.
31:05So, like, maybe from the running back perspective, even though that is a very difficult stretch of schedules, maybe it ends up
31:12looking a little easier in hindsight than it feels like right now.
31:16So, that's a possibility as well. Again, I'm willing to pay market price on Hampton.
31:21So, if I can buy low on him a little bit, I still think that's an upside swing that could be a league winning trade.
31:29And that's what I'm looking for in week one.
31:32I can adjust if I make a bad trade this early.
31:36I want to make what I think could be a league winning early trade, but based on another manager overreacting to week one.
31:43So, that's the goal here, even though it's not guaranteed.
31:46I think that the targets is going to be a big shift probably in the next two weeks with Hampton and Mitchell,
31:53especially if Ladd is not a hundred percent or if he misses time.
31:58It seemed like in week one, so much of the game plan was like, we're just going to use Ladd as our
32:05wide receiver one and just have him rip up the defense.
32:08Because that's what it looked like. To start the game, it was, oh man, Ladd's going to go for 200 yards in
32:15this game and just destroy the middle of this Cardinals defense.
32:19And they didn't really do a lot of game planning for using the running backs in the passing game.
32:25And then they didn't really have any answers. So, I would project that Mike McDaniel is going to scheme up more of
32:32these running back targets, especially in week twos and week three against some of these defenses.
32:37So, yeah. Give me another player to buy, Erickson.
32:40Sticking to running backs here, I'm going to go with Bashal Tootin, who now gets to draw a really juicy matchup.
32:47Maybe it didn't look like that before last night, Monday Night Football, but this Denver Broncos defense, is this Buns against the running back position?
32:55Potentially, off a short week, they're going to be licking their wombs, playing the Jacksonville Jaguars, who last year went to Denver,
33:02because the Broncos have been playing at home, hosting the Jacksonville Jaguars.
33:06They went to Denver and destroyed the Broncos. 34 to 20, Trevor Lawrence diced up that Broncos secondary.
33:12So, I think with Bashal Tootin, who I was impressed probably isn't the right word, but I think that, relatively speaking, week
33:19one was a win for him in the battle between Tootin and Chris Rodriguez, who's going to emerge as the Jaguars RB1.
33:26Relatively speaking, I think it was a win for him.
33:29Now, the one part that I didn't like was, Chris Rodriguez ended up getting the one goal line, carry one red zone
33:37touch, out of this backfield for Jacksonville, but they were just so efficient.
33:41They didn't really spend a lot of time in the red zone, and a lot of those red zone drives ended with
33:48Trevor Lawrence touchdowns to a bunch of different receivers.
33:51So, it seems like Jacksonville might not have one particular player that scores the majority of their touchdowns.
33:57It'll probably kind of be spread out between all the depth they have, but everything else, Tootin checked the boxes off of.
34:04He was the snap leader. He was the carry leader.
34:07He had 15 carries. He played 48% of the snaps.
34:10He had one target, but he actually had another target that was removed by a penalty.
34:15So, 17 total opportunities for a second year running back playing on a high powered offense.
34:2188 yards from scrimmage. If he had just 12 more yards, right?
34:24We'd be talking Bayshel Tootin, 100 yards from scrimmage in his first game, and I feel like that would be a really
34:32high selling point for a player like Tootin. When you look at Chris Rodriguez, he played 40% of the snaps, but six carries for 23 yards.
34:40Woof. Nothing really special there besides the red zone touch.
34:43And of course, zero targets because Chris Rodriguez doesn't ever get targets.
34:47So, Tootin, 4.3 yards after contact per attempt. He forced nine missed tackles.
34:51So, the Denver Broncos better saddle up because they're going to be facing another running back that is really good at forcing missed tackles.
34:59So, I think Bayshel Tootin right now, after not really popping in a big way, even though the Jaguars offense played well,
35:06I think this is a good opportunity to buy a starting running back on a high powered offense.
35:12That's right. Just quickly on the target point, like Tootin only had the one target.
35:17Abdullah had one. That was it, as far as running backs go.
35:21So, like I know Chris- No, he had two.
35:24No, he had another one that was, it was a penalty.
35:27Oh, okay. I was looking for box three. I forgot the penalty one.
35:31Okay. Yeah. So, a little bit more then. So, not a ton of throwing to the running backs though.
35:38So, so it's not like Tootin was getting that where Rodriguez wasn't, but yeah, that's a fair, fair point.
35:44I was curious when you put this into the show sheet, if you were going to tout him as a buy low
35:51or a buy high, because I came away from this game very encouraged by the usage, even though the ending stat line
35:58wasn't some huge fantasy day for Tootin. I was like, oh, 15 carries.
36:02Like, I was really worried about Chris Rodriguez. Not worried.
36:05I was excited about him as a late round flyer, right?
36:09Like I thought, you know, the connection with Liam Cohen and what we might see the usage be.
36:15Now, the part of the usage that I was most excited about for Rodriguez was goal line carry.
36:21So maybe that will still pan out in the future in that regard and be a frustration for the Tootin manager.
36:27But 15 carries out of only 25 carries for the running backs total in this game.
36:33Like that's 60%. He had over half of the carries for anybody in this game.
36:37I thought this was really encouraging from Basial Tootin.
36:40And I didn't invest in him a ton. He just felt risky at a spot in drafts where I was more interested in receivers.
36:48If I took that risk or if anybody listening took that risk, I would feel pretty good about where he's at.
36:55And if you think that anybody is looking at his game and saying, oh, we're more nervous than we are encouraged, then I totally agree.
37:03I would be going to look and buy. Like, I don't know that I want to pay up and like use the phrase buy a high.
37:11I guess, I guess it's maybe like a buy medium if that makes sense.
37:16Like, cause it's not. I think, I think that's what makes it a deal that you can get done because it's not
37:23an obvious buy high or buy low type of scenario.
37:26It's just, hey, I wanted to kind of see Basial Tootin in week one, see how this backfield shakes out.
37:33Obviously he didn't explode for three touchdowns like half the other running backs did in week one.
37:38So that works in his favor that he's not being the most talked about running back.
37:43I think that's kind of the reason why, where I was probably underselling his performance cause you were saying, yeah, I was
37:50like more impressed with Basial Tootin, but I guess relative to every other running back this week, that just like absolutely went nuclear.
37:58Basial Tootin's 88 scoreless yards as playing under 50% of the snaps doesn't really pop off the page as much, but maybe
38:05that's why he can be acquired, especially after what we saw from Denver last night where their defense couldn't stop anybody.
38:12Now their defense obviously is not going to play historically bad every single week, but it is an opportunity where it looked like a bad matchup on paper.
38:21Maybe not so much hitting into week two. Rest of season, would you rather have Basial Tootin or Cam Skadaboo?
38:27Hmm. I think I'm going with Cam Skadaboo. What about Tootin or Price?
38:32I'm going with Basial Tootin there because the J.J.
38:34and Price thing is, it just seems like it's going to be Ken Walker 2.0 all over again where it's just going to be so, so annoying.
38:43And the Zach Charbonnet thing concerns me because Zach Charbonnet's allegiance with the Seattle Seahawks is completely different in my opinion than
38:50Chris Rodriguez's allegiance in the Jacksonville Jaguars room where we've already seen right now.
38:55I mean, I would be interested to see the stark difference between what Tootin got in week one versus Rodriguez comparing that
39:02to Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet all of last season because if I look at just the touch distribution and opportunity distribution,
39:09Basial Tootin probably already had one of the highest gaps that we really never saw from Ken Walker at all last year in Seattle.
39:17So that's my concern with Price. Again, not to say Price didn't look good.
39:21I thought that he looked really, really good and he should get more opportunities but we've seen the Seattle coaching staff.
39:28I know it's a different odds of coordinator but with Mike McDonald they like to feature a bunch of guys and they
39:35love, love, love Zach Charbonnet so that does concern me about Price rest of the season versus Tootin.

39:59All right, Erickson, let's get into the players to sell.
40:02Who do you have for us? Travis Achan talked about him earlier as a piece to move to potentially acquire someone like Drake London.
40:10I was really high on Achan heading into week one thinking, okay, he's got the Detroit Lions, they got a banged up
40:17defense, he should smash here in a game with a really high total.
40:22There's no Alvin Kamara so he should see all of the backfield touches.
40:26I was very, very discouraged. What's the word? Uncouraged?
40:29Discouraged. Not happy with... You had it right the first time.
40:32Uncouraged by Travis Achan's workload in this particular matchup.
40:35Now, the targets in the catches are what really pops off here.
40:39So, seven catches on nine official, 11 unofficial targets when you talk about two that were erased by penalties.
40:4519% target share. That was second among all the Saints pass catchers behind only Chris Olave.
40:50So, really heavily involved as a pass catcher which is awesome to see but the fact that they took him out at
40:57the goal line in the red zone is what concerns me the most.
41:02Kendrick Miller is the one that ended up scoring the touchdown for the Saints out of their backfield because they just didn't use Achan in that role.
41:10And this is something that has been one of Achan's weaknesses over the last two seasons.
41:16He has not been a good red zone running back.
41:19He has not been effective at the red zone and the fact that the Saints have already shown their cards shown their
41:26hand here with week one of not taking him and not considering him as their featured goal line back concerns me about his season long outlook.
41:34And, he got his fantasy points through receiving in this particular game.
41:38Does that stay steady when Alvin Kamara comes back?
41:41When you had Jordan Tyson now a bigger part of this passing attack.
41:45So, that's where I get concerned about Achan and his rest of season rank in terms of do I really want to rely on him?
41:53Again, we talked about all the dead zone running backs that hit.
41:57Achan to me did not feel like one of those guys that actually ended up hitting in week one.
42:03And, I felt like before week one played out he had the perfect run.
42:08He had the red carpet with no Kamara in the ball from the offense in a really good matchup.
42:14So, that's what concerns me. And the fact too they used C.J.
42:18Donaldson in short yardage situations a undrafted rookie free agent running back which I thought was very, very bizarre.
42:24So, Achan for me stocked down and someone that I would be looking to potentially shop.
42:29Do you feel like you mentioned the other dead zone running backs do you feel like the success that those guys had
42:36is maybe by comparison making you feel a little lower on Achan?
42:40Like you look at the names if you look at like from the real time ADP the last update we had right
42:47before drafts Achan was in the same range as Brees Hall he was going ahead of DeAndre Swift Cam Scadaboo like these
42:55are guys who you know David Montgomery about a round later these are guys who had huge weak ones in some cases
43:02or at the very least very good weak ones for all those guys Bucky Irving in that range as well do you
43:09feel like it's like just relative to those guys you feel worse about Achan or even in a vacuum are you still
43:16feeling like I want to get out of the Achan business?
43:19Kind of both it doesn't make me feel better about Achan knowing that there were running backs two or three picks behind
43:27him that all did better in week one and also project to be better for the rest of the season it just
43:34seemed like Achan really had a great opportunity from the jump to take this RB1 role and explode especially given the matchup
43:41against the Detroit Lions but now you're going on the road here you can only get so far just catching a bunch
43:48of check down passes like I love that for PPR purposes but the other thing to point out too about Achan in
43:55this particular game so his best carry of the game of 18 yards came on a draw play in the fourth quarter
44:02with less than 30 seconds remaining in the game so you look at the box score and I think that he's over
44:09five yards per carry so you're thinking oh man like Achan had a great game like he was effective as a rusher
44:16caught a bunch of passes didn't find the end zone but okay sometimes you guys there are running backs that don't have
44:24these massive red zone roles which I think is going to be a problem with Achan and his upside but if you
44:31remove that carry in kind of a Lions were kind of playing prevent defense look he would finish the game with eight
44:38carries for 28 yards 3.5 yards per carry which is really really uninspiring so yeah just was not again I was really
44:45high on Achan as one of these running backs you could get in the dead zone that could kind of overcome it
44:52but after week one I'm ready to say nope that's not the guy that I wanted there were other running backs I
44:59wish I had taken instead or I'm glad that I waited to take on you know John Dre Swift around later Javante
45:06Williams a couple picks before so I think that the fact that he's not coming off like a terrible game like he
45:13still you know caught a whole bunch of passes the Saints offense scored a bunch of points because Detroit Lions maybe you
45:20can still use that as a reason to trade him it's funny because I mentioned the running backs that were near him
45:28in ADP by the end of draft season well but if but if you look at the non running backs who were
45:35around him the two guys on either side of him in the overall ADP were T Higgins Jalen Waddell ahead of him
45:42and then Rishi Rice and Colston Loveland behind so maybe he wasn't such a bad pick if you were not going running
45:49back or if you really wanted to go running back in that range because there were some other options that were not
45:56so great at other positions my player to sell is Carnell Tate and this is not about the player I still am
46:03a firm believer in Tate's talent deserving top 10 pick like I think Carnell Tate is a very I don't know if
46:10he's ever going to be a lead but I think he's a very good NFL receiver when he's at his best when
46:17he gets there this is totally reflective of the offense and we have talked a lot about this offense already with you
46:25and Debro so I would encourage everybody to check out the tailgate this week with our week one reactions if you want
46:32to hear more about that I just think like this is a panic fire sale like I do not want to be
46:39in the Tennessee Titans business this season Cam Ward looked really discouraging to me in that game the whole offense did they
46:46didn't have much of a running game and this is against a Jets team that dude like six months ago we were
46:53all making jokes like is there any coach more pre-fired than Aaron Glenn like I'm not even saying that like I'm suddenly
47:00a believer in the Jets here but this was not some juggernaut team that the Titans were having to deal with in
47:07week one and they got the doors blown off them and the offense didn't look good at all Carnell Tate led the
47:14team well tied for leading the team in targets with six he was tied with Wondell Robinson he had four catches for
47:2138 yards obviously no touchdown I don't really know how it gets better unless Cam Ward just becomes a different quarterback and
47:29this offense becomes a different offense going forward and I would rather somebody else bet on that and I get something back
47:36for Tate while there's still optimism as opposed to going down with that ship right there are some ships I'm willing to
47:43go down with this is not one of them and one of the reasons that I highlighted it because I think everybody
47:50sitting here really nervous about the Titans at least the people I've talked to the reason I wanted to actually bring him
47:57up on the show and really emphasize this is as a general rule it is so smart to invest in slow starting
48:04highly drafted rookie receivers that is a great business model to be in in fantasy you know I keep using the word
48:11business but that's a great strategy generally speaking is to these guys who are drafted really I still think in the long
48:18term I would rather have Cardinal what are you going to trade him for coming off a three catch game for 34
48:26yards I just don't think I like having him on my bench as a bench wide receiver because of the talent that
48:33you just talked about he's a top five overall pick in the NFL draft and I mean Robert saw was talking about
48:40how he was impressed by what Tate did versus what did in the preseason he sees a player that's continuing to get
48:47better and get better so I leader again he had 100 yards and a touchdown as the second running back in this
48:54offense again if Swift ever goes down that's going to look amazing for him those are the really big role if circumstances
49:01change that would be the upside swing I would take with him let's go to your last player to sell to Hubbard
49:08running back for the Carolina Panthers I game and considering where you drafted Chuba Hubbard his ADP totally tanked because of the
49:15Jonathan Brooks hype and I was definitely one of those people driving the Jonathan Brooks hype so it did not please me
49:22to see this type of outcome in week one but I'm not ready to write off Jonathan Brooks says oh well it's
49:30over he lost he's not going to be the RB one and maybe I'm just yelling I'm old when we get to
49:37the season week four week five week six I think Brooks is going to continue to eat into Chuba Hubbard's work share
49:44I don't think that this type of split is going to be this split we're going to see every single week from
49:51the Carolina Panthers especially when they're giving up 59 points on defense again kind of weird game script you're playing in a
49:58shootout so I think the fact that Hubbard only had 10 carries in this game Jonathan Brooks had four carries and Jonathan
50:05Brooks also made a really explosive play downfield on a wheel route which I think just goes to we disagreed on Tate
50:12we don't disagree on Chuba Hubbard I'm totally with you here just to play devil's advocate advocate though is there any part
50:19of you that's worried about hey maybe he just is getting back to is more likely to be what he is this
50:27season is that possibility in the back of your mind when you think about trading him away or are you so interested
50:34in Brooks that it he got in this particular game but I think this is the prime Chuba Hubbard sell high spot
50:41for him I think this could be his highest snap share of the year the red zone usage obviously that works in
50:48his I know I take your point no no that is true fair rebuttal but it was considering Brooks was coming off
50:55of his injury and not being 100% potentially for this type of matchup so I still believe in Jonathan Brooks the talent
51:02here and I still want him as I could have put him as a buy but I already had two I feel
51:09like some managers would do that but others maybe wouldn't just based on the rankings a guy who's ranked lower than Chuba
51:16Hubbard in the rest of season rankings is Kyle Minung guy who I mentioned earlier I would love that upside swing on
51:23Minung you and I I again we love Kyle Minung guy I I'm not saying he's getting 100 yards in a touchdown
51:31every week as the back up running back but that's an upside swing compared to Hubbard that I would like to take
51:38that I think is doable if you want a chance to win the ultimate symbol of fantasy glory the fantasy football championship

52:13right here on the channel so make sure to turn on notifications so you don't miss your chance to sticking with tight
52:20ends for the segment it's Colson Loveland I think that this is the most obvious by the fact that the bears scored
52:2859 points and none of the pass catchers that we the most routes on the team he still had a red zone
52:35target he had three targets when you include plays negative by penalties he plays on the Chicago Bears and now you can
52:42acquire him because he just bombed in the first game of the season so I trade away to acquire Colson I know
52:49it's hard with tight ends usually to make that comparison because it just depends on if the manager needs a tight end
52:56or not and I likely not somebody who drafted a backup tight end because they took one of the top three guys
53:03so it might be harder to make that deal work but just give some names that highlight the value you're willing to
53:10give up to get him I think I would probably try to move a wide receiver for him maybe one of my
53:17bench wide receivers maybe if I had drafted for example I had Christian Watson I had Parker Washington I have all of
53:24these receivers that I was taking shots on in the breakout rounds and maybe one substantially after their big games in Loveland
53:32I don't know if he moved down but he may have moved down just as a other players moving ahead of him
53:39because he didn't do anything in like are going to be apprehensive about the injury history as well he looked so good
53:46though for the diners and like imagine if they needed to throw more to keep if the Rams offense had shown up
53:53like I wonder what kind of day he would have had so maybe I mean if you find the right manager it's
54:00worth asking certainly I mean it certainly is fair based either him I mean I think Washington would probably work Christian Watson
54:07is well ahead actually he jumped up a lot he's about 10 spots higher than Loveland now in the consensus so those
54:14those guys would all work to get a guy what was going in roughly the I know I talked about Drake London
54:21as a buy but the Falcons I don't think they're going to necessarily produce multiple pass catchers that we're happy about even
54:29if they do get Michael Pennix Jr. under center two reasons why I was lower on Kyle Pitts versus consensus during not
54:36as surprised that Kyle Pitts was not involved whatsoever in the passing game with just two targets despite running a route on
54:4380% of the dropbacks he only played 63% of the snaps as well that ranked 32nd among all tight ends in week
54:50one so he was out there running routes but he was not drawing any type of volume use more as a decoy
54:57so that concerns me about with Drake London healthy in the lineup because this is not anything new he has been far
55:04casted out in terms of the number two receiver on this offense when Drake London has been healthy in but to then
55:11also bet on that and Kyle Pitts I think is not going to work so I'm willing to kind of cut ties
55:18with Kyle Pitts who was kind are you thinking you can try to get anything of value from anybody who's like oh
55:25he was tied into last year and maybe it's worth the swing I think that cutting him in shallower leagues is not
55:33out of the question where you got to make a move at tight end you got to add somebody out there on
55:40waivers I mean you want Pitts or likely likely you want Pitts or Dalton Kinkade like like all these redrafted today Kyle
55:47Pitts would be a late round tight end which is about four spots lower than it was during draft season and when
55:54you're talking about tight end 11 12 13 14 some of those guys don't get drafted so I are you when you're
56:01out with Kyle and you're also considering how involved B.
56:04John Robinson is in this passing game which I don't think is going to change maybe changes a little bit with Penix
56:11under center obviously Penix is an upgrade for all the pass catchers including Cooper Rush but I'm just not so sure that
56:19I want to wait for this to happen I'm curious if Stefanski will kind of push Penix to throw to his tight
56:26ends more because Stefanski has liked throwing to tight ends in the past so I'm open to that possibility but so I
56:33don't think I would want to drop Kyle Pitts I would like to at least keep him on my bench but I
56:40think trading him away is smart if you can get something back of value I just don't want to get nothing of
56:47value because that's in the back of my mind is a possibility but um who is right behind him in rest season
56:54rankings for tight ends it's Isaiah likely yeah so I mean like it goes it goes pit to tight end 11 so
57:01Goddard has jumped up to tight end 10 Kincaid has jumped up to tight end 8 Pitts is at tight end 11
57:08and that goes likely Kelsey Juwan Johnson Mark Andrews Brenton Strange are the next five yeah because so he would basically be
57:15at the top of would you rather have Pitts or Mark Andrews I would rather have Kyle Pitts I think that I
57:23think the for the pressing point for me would be Kyle Pitts or Juwan Johnson that's I would I think I would
57:30rather have Pitts but that's that's very close in my opinion of but I think that's what I expect to happen I
57:37think that's the conversation though I think that's the tier that he should be about actually I'd rather have Juwan Johnson I
57:44mean it's it is still close but I do think I have a decision I would rather have Juwan Johnson I know
57:51Fitz is just keeling over right now because we're talking about Pitts being inferior to Juwan Johnson I mean Pitts versus Kelsey
57:58I think is interesting too just given Kelsey's age Kelsey's a sell too there's no I didn't draft Kelsey anywhere this season
58:05so I can't sell him dude yeah no Kelsey would have been my sell too because it's the same thing that happened
58:12last year where he has this monster yards after the catch play where no one tackles him and that's going to be
58:20his highest yardage output potentially of the season so based on these rankings this suggests you could do Pitts for likely if
58:27you can do that go sprint and do that I I'm not saying I believe that it's doable but um I would
58:34try uh for sure all right let's do some quick uh buy sell or hold so the way this segment is going
58:41to work Erickson we did this last year is I'm going to throw three names out at you uh at a given
58:48position and you have to pick one to buy sell or hold this is not a ranking this is one that you
58:55know just based on where they are in terms of market value and rank current ranking in consensus are you buying selling
59:02or holding you got to put each one in one of the three categories Jeremiah Love Travis H.N.
59:08who we talked about David Montgomery buy sell or hold Travis H.N.
59:12will be my sell Dave Montgomery will be my hold and Jeremiah Love will be my buy by the way I put
59:19these together before you gave me your name so I didn't know you were already going to have Travis H.N.
59:26in a category when I put this together makes it a layup baby on record made it for you so you're buying Jeremiah Love you're selling Travis H.N.
59:35you're holding David Montgomery just quickly on Love are you aggressively buying him I mean he looked good but also like the
59:42card like he didn't actually score that many famous points the Cardinals like are they going to win that many games like
59:49what are you doing with Love I think that he is a a buy I wanted to see him be healthy number
59:56one which he was clearly I'm not surprised that Tyler Augere was heavily involved it was the first week of the season
60:03it was a game where they're playing a positive game script so it makes a lot of sense but I just I
60:10just go back to the fact that guys that are drafted in Jeremiah Love's draft slot they usually end up being fantasy
60:17RB1s when it's all said and done so that's always just been in the back of my mind of even though I
60:24didn't love his draft costs especially when he was hurt he was always someone in the back of my mind that hey
60:32I do want to try to get Jeremiah Love in some of my fantasy leagues because I know that when his production
60:39happens it's going to be back loaded in the second half of the season so I'm cool with how week one played
60:46out I think that the fact that Augere was so heavily involved keeps Love's price in check for the most part but
60:53the talent dude was so apparent man like dude the guy was slippery dude like guys were just like falling off of
61:00Love he looked explosive so that's why I like him as a buy because I don't think you have to pay a
61:07leg and an arm to get him he's a good good player I agree another running back trio Jadarian Price Quinshawn Judkins
61:14Ramondre Stevenson again Price Judkins and Stevenson by sell hold Judkins I'd want to list as my sell but he already did
61:21nothing and he's probably gonna do nothing again this week against the Buccaneers so I guess if I can sell him again
61:28he was a player I did not draft for whatsoever because of I was afraid of how this offense would look in
61:36the first two weeks of the season it just which is coming to fruition unfortunately so we'll just keep him as a
61:43sell I guess Ramondre is the keep here because you have production locked and loaded till we see that Trayvon Henderson is
61:50healthy I could see Stevenson as the sell too because I don't think that he was particularly great against Seattle Seahawks in
61:57week one so I could see him as a sell based on the fact that he just got a bunch of volume
62:04Price is definitely the one that's hardest to gauge because I did talk about earlier in the show how if he's in
62:11the Ken Walker role that ceiling is potentially capped however he is a player that I think if he does get more
62:18volume in week two and week three and Zach Charbonnet has not come back you could see him continue to accrue volume
62:25I also like his teammate Jeremiah 11 Notre Dame thought Price looked really really good so he would definitely be my hold
62:33for now because I think that he can accrue more value but I'm not so sure I want to sell the farm
62:40to get him with Zach Charbonnet kind of in the back of my mind I think Price is an easy not an
62:47easy choice to sell but I'm saying I think it might be easier to sell him than some of these other guys
62:54because he played in front everybody watched the opener it was the first game of the season and he looked really explosive
63:01when he touched the ball so it might be something where like other fantasy managers in your league if you are looking
63:08to sell price like hey they saw it too and are excited to add that guy to their team and I'm not
63:15so worried about the usage wide receiver trios how about Christian Watson Garrett Wilson Tedaroa McMillan some big names here Christian Watson
63:22Garrett Wilson Tedaroa McMillan so Christian Watson I'm going to hold can't call or make the prediction that he's going to be
63:29a wide receiver one and then jump off the bandwagon after he puts up a monster week once and we got to
63:37hold him even though I can see everyone in the comments saying dude he always gets hurt you gotta sell you got
63:44it so erickson let me tell you right now before you can tell me what you're doing with the other two names
63:51you're wrong about holding Christian Watson you should be buying high on Christian Watson that's how confident I am in him it
63:58like I'm not going to play scared with injuries right like if he is healthy there is no where I'm saying it
64:05right now if he's healthy there's no world this guy isn't a wide receiver one this season yeah man that's that's what
64:12it's looking like after week one so bye slash hold Christian Watson dude I can't buy him because I got him everywhere
64:19dude he's on all our teams so so I'm going to be a great Christian Watson uh Garrett Wilson though I was
64:26also encouraged with with Geno Smith as his quarterback so I think as more of a low-key type of buy where dude
64:34I can get Garrett Wilson a full PPR for like 80% on the dollar because he's Garrett Wilson he plays on the
64:41Jets dude he was clear-cut target leader for the Jets in week one I get that he didn't have a monster performance
64:48like some of these other receivers some of these breakout receivers but dude he's just gonna be solid steady and ready to
64:55go 150 targets locked the loaded rest of the season I mean if he caught a touchdown we're talking about his day
65:02and he just happened to not in this game but like six catches 79 yards if he throws a touchdown on top
65:09of that we're gonna be really happy a lot of weeks exactly so I think that he's just like if you're getting
65:16you need wide receiver help and you're just looking for a steady pick I think Garrett Wilson kind of fits that perfectly
65:23and that brings me to Tetra Roll McMillan who I was probably the highest on I think of the fantasy pros experts
65:30and gotta give credit to Terra D bro they were pushing back on me about Jalen Coker and I thought it was
65:38more clear that TMAC would be the alpha and Jalen Coker would still be a very strong option again I liked Coker
65:45too but the fact that we saw what happened in week one after what we saw in the playoffs in the second
65:52half of last year where the target share was very very close yeah man I think that we could see a scenario
65:59where they were right Terra and D bro about their bold prediction about him out doing and out targeting Tedderall McMillan this
66:06year Jalen Coker now I don't know Coker has his foot in a boot or something like that he's dealing with something
66:13of an ankle injury seems more precautionary about it yeah so that's the only thing I would be hesitant about but but
66:20maybe that's actually the real opportunity for you to be able to sell TMAC after he did get out produced by Jalen
66:27Coker in week one at times last year in the second half of the season maybe this gives you the window oh
66:35Jalen Coker has an injury TMAC's gonna bounce back I still think that's possible I don't hate TMAC rest of season but
66:42I think in terms of selling of this list he's probably the guy had the least amount of confidence rest of season
66:49just after what we saw from week one one more buy seller hold Devante Adams Terry McLaurin Roma Dunze three guys coming
66:56off of not so great games buy Rome because he plays on the Bears so I think that's pretty easy just just
67:03buy him um Devante I would sell he's a player that I did not like heading into draft season I was concerned
67:10about him didn't see a lot of red zone usage in week one for the last nine just rams so that concerns
67:17me also with his age and then Terry ends up always turning around wide receiver two seasons he just does it so
67:24he had a brutal matchup against the Eagles in week one predictably struggled in that matchup he's playing to Dallas this week
67:31so Terry bounce back spot seems kind of imminent I'm kind of interested in buying low on all three of these guys
67:39to be honest that's obviously not the exercise you have to pick one in each category but like I again I'm again
67:46we talked about this on multiple shows already I'm really trying to not put too much stock in what the Rams offense
67:53looked like in Australia so I if I can get Devante Adams for cheap of somebody who's like hey he's older didn't
68:00get the red zone usage and is worried about the Rams like I'm very interested in doing that also especially with Myles
68:07Garrett hurt like maybe the defense isn't this great incredible defense we expected and now they have to throw more so like
68:14I I'm again buy low I don't want to buy high or you know buy market value but if I can buy
68:21low on Adams I'm interested in that McCorin you're right had really tough matchup I think there's better days ahead for him
68:28and at Doonesa just being a part of the Bears and a player that I just really like as a player so
68:36I'm kind of interested in buying all three of these guys I think yeah uh another name just to mention because we
68:43didn't get the chance to talk to them because they play on Thursday night but uh James Williams that dude's gonna go
68:50off on Thursday night football because he had a game that was bad in week one even though he had a ton
68:57of opportunities dropping passes kind of typical JMO boomer bus but what do we do worm after JMO has a stinker you
69:04just buy right back in because then he just explodes the next week especially against the Buffalo Bills yes Jameson Williams do
69:11not lose faith start him this week buy him dude last year after Jameson Williams had a bad game I traded Darren
69:18Waller to get him on my roster okay people hate James Williams after he has bad games so buy low on JMO

69:47promise our fine listeners that we would do a mailbag at the end of this episode so let's lightning around we got
69:54just a handful of questions here we will go very speed round through these and then get out of here first question
70:01are any Browns wide receivers or tight ends startable until Watson is no longer quarterback okay Concepcion led the team in targets
70:08last week Boston had some nice plays as well however the confidence level with those two players isn't really super high so
70:15I think that I would just keep them on the bench trust in the talent and trust that the Browns make the
70:22correct decision with what they do at quarterback rest of season Coker or McMillan I'll still say T-Mac rest of season but
70:29it's obviously very very it's much much closer gap is smaller than we thought yes uh same question Loveland or Kincaid Loveland
70:37still Loveland I mean yeah it's gotta be Loveland so um I have Bowers currently on IR and Brenton Strange at tight
70:44end but a tough matchup against the Broncos coming up any suggestions or just full ride Strange in the Jets or excuse
70:51me in the Jets so you said Strange and the other options he has Bowers so he's using Brenton Strange until Bowers
70:58comes back yeah uh I mean he's wondering if he should just ride with Strange until then or any suggestions going up
71:05against the Broncos I think Strange is fine yeah I mean he's probably a little bit more touchdown dependent just because they
71:12like to spread the wealth in that Jaguars offense so he might be disappointed if he doesn't score a touchdown so if
71:19you can find a tight end that maybe will run into a little bit more volume maybe that I feel a little
71:26bit better about that but in half PPR standard I think Strange is still a good I would also wouldn't overthink like
71:33hey this is already my backup tight end like I don't want to make these crazy moves trying to just pack to
71:41work a problem for only one to two more weeks like you know you're getting Bowers back I would just roll with
71:48Strange until then and hope for some touchdown luck are we trading away Jordan Mason will this usage sustain when the quarterback
71:55uh with the quarterback switch up until Kyler Murray is back or is there a grouping of wide receivers to target with
72:02him I cannot recommend you trade anyone before they play the Bears I'm sorry I won't do that I mean like unless
72:09you just unless you can literally just trade them based on the fact that and they don't even have to play the
72:16Bears people just expect them to go off then maybe you can make the move but dude his the stock for all
72:23these players is always going to be higher after they face Chicago are we panicking on Herbert especially if Ladd misses time
72:30I'll tell I'll answer for me I'm not panicking I am I'm panic curious I you know I'm I'm a little nervous
72:38I want to see what happens but I'm not actually panicking not panicking Cardinals defense may be just better than everyone wanted
72:45to give them credit for so that's also something you want to take out of that type of matchup that's not just
72:52about the Chargers vomiting all over themselves also the Cardinals like they get paid to play too right they had a lot
72:59of guys this offseason that got healthier so maybe their defense is more average and not just like bottom of the league
73:06bottom five with Herbert one thing that was encouraging about the usage and how he was deployed in Mike McDaniels offense a
73:13lot of play action stuff which typically leads to high-end results for fantasy quarterbacks so yes would not be concerned about Herbert
73:20I think Herbert among the quarterbacks if I didn't put Loveland Herbert would have been my buy low in terms of fantasy
73:27quarterbacks because I do think that the ceiling is still sky high with him in my Daniel-led offense we already answered this
73:34one but just to read it with Geno at quarterback can Wilson actually be expected to meet expectations this season I think
73:42we both would say yes we like what we saw to Garrett Wilson two more here and then we'll get out of
73:49here is Marshawn Lloyd not startable until the snap share gets consistent yeah I mean Chris Brooks started in week one right
73:56and the offensive line for the Packers is not in good shape right now so clearly they don't have full trust in
74:03Marshawn Lloyd even though he did rip off a couple big runs the snap share is not working in his favor where
74:10he can be trusted last question it says flex slash tight end option and then it gives three names I don't know
74:17if they're saying we need to pick two one for the flex one for tight end or let's just rank these three
74:24quickly um just in case because I'm not entirely sure the question but flex tight end option need to pick Dallas Goddard
74:31Colson Loveland and Ramondre Stevenson what do you all think so why don't we rank those three Goddard Loveland and Stevenson Goddard
74:39seems like a really strong play basically whenever AJ Brown is not on the Eagles so that's not going to happen because
74:46he's on IR and he's on the Patriots so Dallas Goddard I think is a a strong start in Stevenson I think
74:53you got to continue to play as long as Trayvon Henderson is not active however it looks like there is a chance
75:00that he could come back I don't think I could live with myself I didn't play Colson Loveland a week two so
75:07because he's just is going to scream every buy low model that is in existence in fantasy football and betting and all
75:14this stuff because so who's the sit then it would probably be Ramondre honestly unless I guess Dallas Goddard would be the
75:21sit if Trayvon Henderson doesn't play and I would just bank the points in volume with Ramondre playing at home against the
75:28Steelers that's probably the move that I would make especially given up there what they give it to the Bijan last week
75:35also the Eagles are facing the Titans right am I misremembering I think they have the Titans this week which is not
75:43you know like they might be able to just not throw that much and win that game really easily with their defense
75:50so it's a good problem to have between those three guys three good players I think I would sit Goddard out of
75:57them unless Trayvon Henderson's playing and then maybe I would consider sitting always got to have our caveats so that we're never
76:04wrong yeah all right we'll go ahead and wrap things up there thanks everybody for checking out our week two trade show
