62

A.J. Brown

NegativeProjection8:00

A.J. Brown is mentioned as an example of a wide receiver that might be drafted early and leave a drafter needing to shoot for upside elsewhere in Week 1.

Insight page

Bo Nix

NegativeProjection47:36

Bo Nix averaged 6.8 yards per attempt as a rookie and 6.4 yards per attempt last year (matching Bryce Young's 2025 YPA), raising questions about his overall talent level; however, the source notes his fantasy situation is good given Sean Payton's system and Denver's high pass-attempt volume, and one the source prefers Nix slightly over Willis due to consistency concerns with Willis's floor, ranking Nix QB 18 while another ranks him QB 14-15.

Insight page

Breece Hall

NegativeMatchup40:32

Breece Hall is mentioned as a tough call in Week 1 due to Tua Tagovailoa's situation at Pittsburgh, which affects the overall game script and decision-making for the Jets offense.

Insight page
NegativeMatchup41:00

The source prefers Breece Hall over Drake London in flex if Hall is 100% healthy, citing the Steelers matchup concern for Drake London and the uncertainty of the Tua Tagovailoa-Jaden Daniels pairing.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

NegativeInjury4:00

Bowers is not playing in Week 1, removing him from the tight end rankings and creating opportunity for other tight ends like Juwan Johnson to move up in weekly consideration.

Insight page
NegativeInjury17:35

Brock Bowers is out for the Raiders-Dolphins Week 1 matchup, which increases the offensive load on Ashton Gentty.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

PositiveProjection46:26

The source (Fitz) is a Bucky Irving believer and dismisses preseason narratives that Kenny Gainwell would share work evenly or outtouch Irving; the source expects Irving to be the lead back and projects him as a potential top-15 running back.

Insight page

Caleb Douglas

PositiveSleeper6:30

Caleb Douglas is a high-upside play for Week 1 if you need to shoot for upside after losing a wide receiver early in your draft (e.g., A.J. Brown). The source compares him to Cedric Tillman but notes Tillman is actually producing on the field; Douglas offers big plays downfield and touchdown upside. He's ranked low in Week 1 consensus (71st per one source), which feels too low given the Dolphins-Raiders game has one of the lowest Vegas totals (41.5) with two of the worst defensive backfields in the NFL, ensuring passing volume. The source would take Douglas over alternatives like Wandel Robinson.

Insight page

Cedric Tillman

NegativeProjection7:18

Cedric Tillman is compared to Caleb Douglas but is actually producing on the field, unlike Douglas.

Insight page

Chris Bell

PositiveBreakout6:30

Long-term, Chris Bell is the answer as the Dolphins' clear number-one receiver; if not injured, he likely would have been a first-round NFL draft pick and would be in conversation with other first-round wide receivers. The Dolphins have no defense, ensuring passing volume, and Bell can throw the ball. However, Week 1 appears to be Caleb Douglas and Bell, with Douglas getting the start.

Insight page

Darren Waller

NegativeProjection6:18

Johnson is ranked ninth at tight end by the source, behind Kittle, Goddard, and Fannin, and ahead of Sam Laporta.

Insight page

DK Metcalf

NegativeRole28:27

DK Metcalf is one of the clear top two target-share receivers for the Steelers alongside Michael Pittman, with no conversation or concern about his role; tight end involvement is not a major concern at his level.

Insight page
NegativeValue43:43

D.K. Metcalf is ranked below J.K. Dobbins in a flex start/sit decision. The source previously noted that Anthony Pittman could have better fantasy value than Metcalf, suggesting Metcalf's value is depressed relative to expectations.

Insight page

Drake London

NegativeMatchup41:00

The source expresses concern about Drake London facing the Steelers defense in Pittsburgh with Tua Tagovailoa at quarterback; this matchup concern, combined with uncertainty about Tagovailoa's performance against Pittsburgh's defense, makes Drake London less attractive than Breece Hall in flex.

Insight page
NegativeMatchup41:10

Drake London faces a difficult matchup with Tua Tagovailoa at Pittsburgh in Week 1. The source notes London is ranked wide receiver 10 overall but expresses nervousness about the Tua-at-Pittsburgh matchup. Fantasy Pros consensus shows London has the highest bust ranking of any top-15 receiver by a wide margin, indicating significant downside risk despite his ranking.

Insight page

Drake Maye

NegativeProjection2:16

Jake Seeley drafted Drake May as a top four or five quarterback early and started him in Week 1, but the pick backfired; while the Seahawks defense deserves some credit, the early-season reliance on draft capital and previous season talk rather than careful Week 1 analysis contributed to the poor performance.

Insight page

George Kittle

PositiveProjection6:00

Kittle has top-three upside at tight end and should be started if available. The source explicitly states 'if I have Kittle, I'm starting him because he's got top three upside.'

Insight page
PositiveProjection6:06

Kittle has top three upside at tight end; the source is starting him if available in Week 1.

Insight page

J.K. Dobbins

PositiveProjection43:43

J.K. Dobbins is favored over D.K. Metcalf in a flex start/sit decision. The source emphasizes that when healthy, Dobbins projects as a top-20 running back. He is ranked 31st in consensus Week 1 rankings, which the source views as too low even against Kansas City. Concerns about Jonah Coleman creating a three-headed backfield are noted but secondary to Dobbins' health status.

Insight page
NegativeProjection44:48

The source prefers J.K. Dobbins in a start/sit decision, citing emotional attachment as a tiebreaker and the fact that he expects limited healthy weeks from Dobbins this season, making it prudent to start him while available rather than risk sitting him.

Insight page

Jayden Daniels

NegativeMatchup38:57

The source expresses concern about Jaden Daniels facing the Steelers defense in Pittsburgh, citing the poor offensive line situation in Washington that could limit his time to throw and affect his receivers' production.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

NegativeRole38:59

The source uses Jalen Waddle as a comparison point when discussing Quentin Johnston's role in the Chargers offense, noting that Waddle and Ladd McConkey work better together than Johnston and McConkey, suggesting Johnston may have a different role than Waddle.

Insight page
PositiveRole42:21

Jaylen Waddle is favored over Bashtart Tootin in a flex start/sit decision. The source prefers Waddle as a top-20 wide receiver with guaranteed target volume over Tootin, who may be in a committee backfield with uncertain snap/touch splits. Waddle is ranked wide receiver 19 positionally and around 40s overall flex.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

PositiveRole36:00

Jake would prefer Jalen Warren in games where the Steelers are expected to play catch-up and pass more, as Warren's pass-catching ability becomes more valuable in negative game scripts.

Insight page
PositiveRole36:00

Fitz believes Jalen Warren is a much better fit for late-career Aaron Rodgers than Rico Dowdle. Warren is a superior pass catcher and pass blocker, which are critical for protecting an aging quarterback who cannot move and does not want to take hits. Fitz also believes Warren is a better runner than Dowdle.

Insight page

Jonah Coleman

NegativeRole44:28

The source expresses legitimate concerns that Jonah Coleman could turn the Ravens backfield into a three-headed committee; Sean Payton has used three-headed backfields in New Orleans before, which could limit Coleman's workload and opportunity if he proves productive.

Insight page
NegativeRole44:28

Jonah Coleman presents a concern for J.K. Dobbins' workload. The source notes that Coleman could turn the Broncos backfield into a three-headed committee, similar to Sean Payton's usage patterns in New Orleans. If Coleman proves productive, this could significantly limit Dobbins' touches and fantasy value.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

PositiveRole40:00

The source notes that Justin Herbert and Quentin Johnston have played many games together, providing familiarity and chemistry that contrasts with Stefan Diggs and Jaden Daniels, who have never played a regular season game together.

Insight page

Juwan Johnson

PositiveMatchup3:04

Saints tight end has a very promising matchup against the Lions in Week 1. Detroit's offense is lethal and will force the Saints to keep pace offensively; Saints head coach Kellen Moore operates at a fast pace. Saints-Lions Vegas total is 49.5, and Ford Field is noted as high-scoring. Lions will be without star safeties Brian Branch and Kirby Joseph early in the season; with both healthy in 2023, Detroit allowed the second-fewest fantasy points per game to tight ends, but last year with injuries they allowed the 15th-fewest. With both out, Detroit is a very favorable tight end matchup. Starting safeties Avante Maddox and Chuck Clark are not reassuring replacements.

Insight page
PositiveProjection5:00

The source ranks Johnson at tight end 8 in Week 1 rankings, just behind the top seven tight ends (with Brock Bowers out). Another the source ranks him at tight end 9, with only George Kittle ranked ahead of him among the consensus top options.

Insight page
PositiveRole5:42

Johnson had almost 900 yards last season and is walking into a situation where the Saints don't have a number two receiver. This role expansion supports his Week 1 appeal as a primary target option in the Saints offense.

Insight page
PositiveMatchup18:50

Juwan Johnson benefits from Saints head coach Kellen Moore's fast-pace offense and Ford Field being the Coors Field of the NFL, creating a favorable matchup environment.

Insight page

Kenneth Gainwell

PositiveProjection46:06

The source leans toward Kenny Gainwell in a flex start/sit decision, believing he can still deliver RB3 value in Week 1 even with Bucky Irving as a potential top-15 running back, viewing both players' success as compatible outcomes.

Insight page

Ladd McConkey

NegativeRole38:59

The source references Ladd McConkey as part of the Chargers receiving corps, noting that McConkey and Jalen Waddle complement each other better than McConkey and Quentin Johnston, suggesting McConkey will be a primary target.

Insight page

Malik Willis

NegativeRole6:54

Malik Willis joined the Dolphins as a backup quarterback. The offseason narrative was that he would go to a team and get a chance to be the QB1, but when he landed on the Dolphins, expectations shifted. The appeal of the Dolphins is their lack of defense, which ensures passing volume, and Willis knows how to throw the ball.

Insight page
NegativeProjection47:36

The source ranks Malik Willis as a top-tier fantasy QB option due to his rushing ability, comparing him favorably to Lamar Jackson; Willis is ranked QB 13 by one the source and is noted to have "top five upside because of the rushing," though the source acknowledges floor risk if he underperforms as a rookie in Week 1.

Insight page
PositiveProjection48:19

The source (Fitz) prefers Malik Willis over Bo Nix, citing Willis's running ability as a cheat code; while Bo Nix does run, Willis is a more dynamic rushing threat, making him the preferred start in this matchup.

Insight page

Mark Andrews

NegativeProjection6:30

Goddard is ranked eighth at tight end in consensus rankings, which places Johnson at ninth.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

PositiveRole28:27

In limited sample with Jacoby Brissette (three and a half games), Marvin Harrison Jr. was treated as the clear number one receiver ahead of Michael Wilson and Terry McBride, all three being healthy together.

Insight page
PositiveProjection33:00

Fitz drafted Marvin Harrison Jr. more than intended this offseason, viewing him as the last receiver in draft rankings with upside potential. He felt there was a real gap between the top 30-31 receivers and everyone else, and Harrison represented the last upside play before that gap.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout33:00

Fitz has hope that Marvin Harrison Jr. will take things to another level in Michael Fleur's offense after a disappointing start to his career, though he acknowledges skepticism about his ability to elevate his game.

Insight page
NegativeMatchup33:00

Marvin Harrison Jr. faces the Falcons' strong defensive backfield, which includes the Terrell brothers (AJ and Avion), safeties Jesse Bates and Xavier Watts, and slot corner Billy Bowman returning from injury.

Insight page

Michael Pittman

PositiveProjection28:27

Jake believes a healthy Michael Pittman might actually be more valuable than DK Metcalf with the Steelers this year under Mike McCarthy, given Pittman's role as a short-range intermediate target and the Steelers' expected strong performance against Atlanta.

Insight page
PositiveMatchup28:27

Michael Pittman faces Atlanta, which is missing key defensive pieces including injuries to their rookie cornerback, creating an opportunity for the Steelers' passing game to come out strong.

Insight page

Michael Wilson

NegativeRole28:27

In the Cardinals' passing game with Jacoby Brissette, Michael Wilson is expected to be the number two receiver behind Trey McBride, with Marvin Harrison Jr. and Wilson competing for the second target share.

Insight page

Mike Washington Jr.

NegativeRole18:25

The source dismisses Mike Washington as a timeshare threat to Ashton Gentty, characterizing him as an overage prospect who didn't pop until his fifth college season, in contrast to Gentty being one of the best running back prospects of the millennium.

Insight page

Quentin Johnston

PositiveProjection19:29

The source mentions Quentin Johnston as having upside in the wide receiver range, comparing him favorably to other receivers in the flex rankings and noting that his upside is worth considering despite uncertainty about target splits.

Insight page
NegativeBreakout38:58

The source has been bullish on Quentin Johnston's preseason and believes he has Tyreek Hill-like upside in the Chargers offense under Mike McDaniel, who can leverage Johnston's catch-and-run ability; the risk is a goose egg if the Chargers control the game, but the upside is worth chasing in Week 1 over Stefan Diggs.

Insight page

Rico Dowdle

PositiveRole36:00

Jake believes Rico Dowdle is a better three-down back than Jalen Warren and expects the split to favor Dowdle, potentially 55-45 or even 50-50. He notes the connection between Dowdle and Mike McCarthy, similar to the Wondell Robinson-Brian Dable relationship.

Insight page
PositiveMatchup36:00

Jake prefers Rico Dowdle in games where the Steelers are expected to be in control, as he believes the Steelers will win by a lot against Atlanta, favoring the running game and Dowdle's role.

Insight page
NegativeRole38:34

The source expresses skepticism about the narrative that Mike McCarthy favors Rico Dowdle in the Dallas backfield, citing the risk of a 50-50 split that would create weekly uncertainty about which back to start.

Insight page

Stefon Diggs

NegativeMatchup38:57

The source identifies Stefan Diggs as a potential beneficiary of Washington's historically poor offensive line (described as worst in 10 years by coverage), which could lead to more targets; however, there is a risk of shallow targets with low average depth of target due to quick releases.

Insight page
PositiveMatchup39:00

Jake believes Stefan Diggs will be a beneficiary if Jayden Daniels doesn't have time behind what is being called the worst offensive line in 10 years. More pressure on the quarterback means more short, quick passes to Diggs.

Insight page
PositiveUsage39:00

The source notes that a poor offensive line situation for the Commanders means Jayden Daniels will have less time, which typically results in more targets for short-range receivers like Stefan Diggs.

Insight page

Travis Etienne

NegativeMatchup18:50

While Saints head coach Kellen Moore's fast-pace offense and Ford Field's favorable environment apply to Etienne, he lacks the individual matchup advantage that Juwan Johnson has; the Lions allowed the seventh fewest fantasy points to running backs last season, and their middle linebacker Jack Campbell is strong against inside runs.

Insight page

Tua Tagovailoa

NegativeMatchup41:00

The source expresses concern about Tua Tagovailoa's performance against the Steelers defense in Pittsburgh, which affects the outlook for his receivers like Drake London.

Insight page

Wan'Dale Robinson

NegativeRole45:19

The source raises multiple concerns about Wandale Robinson's Week 1 outlook: the Titans offense looked broken in preseason, there's no guarantee Robinson will see the same workload he had with the Giants now that Calvin Ridley is healthy, and Cam Ward's learning curve in the new offense (Eli Manning took six games to adjust at his peak) creates additional uncertainty around volume and efficiency.

Insight page
PositiveProjection46:46

The source (Fitz) prefers Wandale Robinson over Kenny Gainwell, expecting Robinson to replicate his PPR-friendly production from his time with the Giants under play-caller Brian Daboll; now reunited with Daboll in Tennessee, the source projects a classic Robinson stat line of seven catches for 52 yards.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

NegativeInjury21:58

Zay Flowers has been dealing with a hamstring injury heading into Week 1, though the source characterizes it as not a major concern and expects him to play. However, there is at least a slight element of risk.

Insight page
NegativeMatchup21:58

Zay Flowers faces elite cornerback coverage from the Colts' Sauce Gardner and Charverius Ward. While Ward has injury concerns (missed 15 games over last two years), he is excellent when healthy, and Sauce Gardner is widely regarded as an elite cornerback.

Insight page
PositiveProjection25:49

Jake champions Zay Flowers for his ascent to wide receiver one status over a complete season, and prefers him over Ted Rowe-McMillan in Week 1 due to the Ravens' superior offense and quarterback. He notes that Flowers finally delivered what was wanted from him.

Insight page
NegativeRole25:49

The source notes uncertainty about Zay Flowers' role in the Ravens' new offensive system under Declan Doyle, which may feature more under-center and play-action looks. However, the source is not overly concerned given Lamar Jackson's presence and track record with new coordinators.

0:28Hello everybody! Welcome in to the FantasyPros - Fantasy Football Podcast.
0:31I'm Ryan Warmly, joined for our Week 1 Starts & Sits Show.
0:34Very exciting time by Pat Fitzmorris and Jake Seeley from The Athletic.
0:38Guys, we had real NFL football on our screens last night.
0:41We're not going to deep dive on the game because it wasn't really that fun of a game for fantasy purposes.
0:47We had injuries, we had poor performances. It was a reminder of the, you know, you have the ups and downs of the fantasy football season.
0:55It was a reminder of the downs, but still, I would say also a reminder of the ups just by having football back on our screens.
1:02Very, very exciting. Fitz, how are you feeling here now that the season is no longer just, you know, approaching, but actually here?
1:09I am really looking forward to doing the show again.
1:12You know, Jake and I have gotten to argue lightly during the off season, but I'm looking forward to really mixing it
1:18up with Jake here as we do every week on this show.
1:21It's going to be a lot of fun. And just, you know, we've talked about players in a draft context for months.
1:28And now we get to talk about players in a weekly matchup context, and that's fun and different after being in draft mode for so long.
1:35Jake, what is that transition like for you this time every year?
1:39I always feel like it's just a very interesting mindset to be in where you spend so many months on the big picture.
1:46And then very quickly, you have to snap your fingers and start looking at the smaller picture.
1:50Yeah, it's a little bit of a transition, but it's also the beginning of the season where we're assuming what we know.
1:57Like that's the thing is we do this every single year.
2:00We're assuming and we're basing a lot off season talk, previous performances.
2:04I did my podcast and talk. I think that people base too much on last year as it is week one.
2:10I know you said we're not going to talk too much about it, but that was the thing is I went out
2:16with week one and said, you know what? I drafted Drake May as a top four or five quarterback early.
2:22I'm starting Drake May like I get it and it went up blew up in our faces for most of us, but
2:28like those are the things and yeah, no, we didn't see the injury coming.
2:32You know, maybe we should have given a little bit more respect to the Seahawks defense, but that's just what we do
2:39at the beginning of the season is you try to put your best foot forward.
2:43I think sometimes we overthink too much, but maybe overthinking with Drake May was the right move.
2:48I'll say that we're going to try to put our best foot forward here the rest of week one.
2:53This is going to be our typical Thursday show.
2:56If you haven't watched in previous years, we're running back the same format.
3:00It's going to have some must starts and must sits some waiver ads most weeks.
3:04Not this week, obviously, but kind of questioning the guys who are the most popular waiver ads of the week, how they
3:10stack up against some guys that you would normally be starting.
3:14We'll give you some touchdown calls at the end of the show.
3:17We're also going to plant our flag on some players at the beginning of every show.
3:22Just one guy from YouTube. You consider this sort of our version of like a start of the week.
3:27This can be a bigger name or a smaller name, just somebody that these guys really want to say I am ahead of consensus on.
3:35I am really saying that they should be considered and I want to plant my flag on these names for this particular week.
3:41All of our weekly consensus rankings in 2026 and our tiers as well can be found at fantasypros.com slash rankings.
3:47Let's dive in. We'll start off with those plant your flag players.
3:51Fitz, who's your first guy of the season? It's Juwan Johnson, Saints tight end.
3:55I think he has a very promising matchup against the Lions.
3:58The Detroit offense is lethal and it's going to force the Saints to kind of keep the foot on the gas with their offense.
4:05And we know that Saints head coach Kellen Moore kind of likes to operate that way anyway.
4:10He likes a fast pace. Saints-Lions has a Vegas total of 49 and a half.
4:14Our colleague Andrew Erickson says it all the time.
4:17Ford Field is the Coors Field of the NFL.
4:19You get a lot of runs at Coors Field in Denver.
4:22You get a lot of points at Ford Field in Detroit.
4:26And the Lions are going to be without star safeties Brian Branch and Kirby Joseph early in the season.
4:31With Branch and Joseph, when they played full seasons in 2023, the Lions allowed the second fewest fantasy points per game to tight ends.
4:38Last year Branch missed five games. Joseph missed 11 games.
4:41And the Lions saw the 15th fewest points per game to tight ends.
4:45With both guys out, Detroit is a very favorable matchup for tight ends.
4:49Avante Maddox and Chuck Clark are going to be the starting safeties.
4:52That's not reassuring if you're a Lions fan. So there was a very clear during draft season fits top eight at the position.
4:59And now obviously we know Bowers isn't playing this week.
5:02So there's sort of like a top seven in the weekly rankings.
5:05Dron Johnson is just outside. He's a tight end nine.
5:08So he's one spot outside of that top seven.
5:11Would you consider starting Johnson over any of those guys that you were like very definitively drafting ahead of him?
5:16I have in my week one rankings, I have him just behind all of those guys.
5:21Well, obviously, so Brock Bowers is out of the picture.
5:24Of course. I have Juwan Johnson ranked eighth. So he's behind the other seven guys.
5:28Jake, what do you think about Johnson as a play this week?
5:32Yeah, it was one of the multitude of options that I put in there.
5:36And then fifth second, I think I said, go right ahead, because I think Juwan Johnson is a great goal.
5:42The thing with him is that I think a lot of people didn't realize he had almost 900 yards last year.
5:48And that's basically the situation he's walking into this season is that they don't have a number two.
5:53I know Vili or Vele is out there, which I almost put him as well, because this is a guy who was
5:59a top 30 wide receiver in those four weeks.
6:02He was healthy after Shahid was traded at the end of the season.
6:06So there's a lot of options here. But the biggest thing Fitz said, too, is that they're going to be pushing the pace.
6:12I am at nine. I'm assuming the only difference is that I have Kittle in front of him.
6:18I am playing the Kittle game. I am if I have Kittle, I'm starting him because he's got top three upside.
6:24And I know we're not talking about him right now, but I think that might be our only difference because I have
6:30Johnson just behind Goddard and Fannin at nine. And he's in front of Sam Laporta for me.
6:35Goddard is ahead in a consensus as well. That's what drops Johnson to nine.
6:39Goddard is eighth. OK, yeah, I mean, this is when I think we're just pretty much all on the same page.
6:45Jake, who's your plant your flag guy? You know, I still like Caleb Douglas, even with Chris Bell.
6:50Like long term, it is Chris Bell. Long term, Chris Bell is the answer to be the one for the Dolphins.
6:56This is somebody that if not injured, he probably would have been a first round in the NFL draft and he would have been in the conversation.
7:04Like, just think about any of the wide receivers that went in the first round.
7:09If they landed on the Dolphins as the clear number one, we'd be a little bit more excited and deservedly so.
7:15Even with Malik Willis, as people spent this offseason talking about, oh, he's going to go to a team and he's going
7:21to get a chance to be the QB one.
7:24And then he goes to the Dolphins. Everybody's like, man, never mind, which was just kind of weird because part of the
7:30appeal here is that the Dolphins has no defense.
7:33Like, so like we're going to get some passing and Malik Willis knows how to throw the ball.
7:38Caleb Douglas, I compared a little bit to Cedric Tillman, but Cedric Tillman is actually producing on the field.
7:43And that's the difference is that the big plays downfield, the touchdown upside of Caleb Douglas.
7:48So I would take Chris Bell 10 out of 10 times long term.
7:52But it sounds like week one is Douglas and Bell, which was always Douglas and somebody this entire time.
7:57So I think Douglas, if you're looking for that Hail Mary, you lost a wide receiver.
8:02Maybe, you know, you started A.J. Brown and now you need to shoot for upside everywhere else because you got stuck with that from last night.
8:09And you were kind of trying to decide between a Caleb Douglas and a Wandel Robinson or something like that.
8:15I would just take the chance on Caleb Douglas.
8:18Fitz, do you have any interest in starting Douglas?
8:20Are there any names that are, you know, obviously he's ranked pretty low in the week one rankings and consensus.
8:26Are there any names that, you know, might surprise people that you'd be willing to consider starting him over?
8:32Yeah, I mean, he's an interesting play. It kind of depends.
8:35Like, I don't think I have him high enough in my weekly rankings to consider, but I always do some adjustments leading up to it.
8:42And the fact that, you know, the esteemed Mr.
8:45Jake Seeley is touting Caleb Douglas makes me want to push up Caleb Douglas a little more.
8:50I have him in the 50s. Like, it's not like he's super high.
8:54This is like I said, this is a very scenario.
8:56That is still well ahead of consensus though, Jake.
8:59He's 71 for me, which does feel too low.
9:02I mean, it's funny that the Raiders Dolphins game has a Vegas total of last I checked 40 and a half, one
9:08of the lowest totals on the board. These two secondary stink.
9:11Like, and I'm going to talk about this later.
9:14It's up to 41 and a half. Is it?
9:16Okay. Yeah. Which is funny that like it hasn't, it's gone up with the Bowers news.
9:21Maybe it comes back down, but these are two of the worst defensive backfields in the NFL.
9:26And I think we're going to see points. Football is back folks.
9:29And it's time to level up your approach to the NFL and college football this season because poly market is here.
9:36Poly market is a legal prediction market now available in all 50 states.
9:39And unlike traditional sports books on poly market, you can trade on all things football from the Saturday and Sunday slates to
9:46who wins the Heisman to who performs the halftime show.
9:49Poly market gives you the freedom to cash out instantly.
9:52If the momentum swings, you can sell it off in real time.
9:55You are in control. No one can lock you out.
9:58You can also buy in any time. So when the market dips, like if a team starts slow and drops to say 40%, that's not a loss.

10:27All right, guys, let's get into our start sit debates here.
10:30We will start as always with the running backs.
10:32And the first one I have here is Travis Achan versus Ashton Gentty.
10:36Obviously Gentty, like let's pay attention to the news, see what's going on.
10:40But it seems to have been trending as of when I was putting the sheet together yesterday that, you know, he has a chance to play.
10:47So this is obviously assuming that Gentty plays. Gentty versus Achan Fitz.
10:51Who do you rank higher? Ashton Gentty. It sounds like he's good to go.
10:55And the Raiders are really going to need him against the Dolphins with Brock Bowers out.
11:00I'm fading the idea that Gentty is going to be managed carefully if he's active in this game.
11:05And I'm definitely fading the idea that it's going to be some sort of timeshare with Gentty and Mike Washington.
11:11Like, come on, because Mike Washington had a good preseason going against second and third teamers.
11:15Like Ashton Gentty is one of the best running back prospects of the millennium.
11:19And Mike Washington is an overage prospect who didn't really pop until his fifth college season.
11:24So, you know, when I was talking about Juwan Johnson a minute ago, I mentioned that Saints head coach Kellen Moore likes
11:30a fast pace and that Ford Field is the Coors Field of the NFL.
11:34That stuff does apply to Etienne too. But Etienne just doesn't have the same sort of matchup that Juwan Johnson has in individual matchup.
11:41The Lions allowed the seventh fewest fantasy points to running backs last season.
11:45Like their run defense wasn't great down the stretch, but I don't know.
11:49Lions middle linebacker Jack Campbell is kind of where inside runs go to die.
11:53I like Gentty here. You mentioned Fitz in the previous segment how both the secondaries stink in this Raiders-Dolphins game.
11:59Do you think that the Raiders might come out trying to throw a lot because of that?
12:04Or, I mean, the Dolphins are going to be bad all the way around pretty much, so that doesn't really matter with Gentty?
12:10Yeah, I mean, maybe, but Gentty's a heck of a pass catcher too.
12:14Yeah. All right, Jake, how do you see this one?
12:17How are you ranking Gentty and Achan versus each other?
12:20Oh, I just want to acknowledge first that Fitz just continues to hate Mike Washington.
12:24He has hated him this entire offseason and continues to hate him.
12:28I'm just messing with him. But the truth is, as of today, I have Etienne.
12:32I'm going to just call him Etienne instead of Achan.
12:35I'm going to give him the New Orleans part of it.
12:38Etienne, two spots in front of Gentty just because of the uncertainty.
12:42I do think that there is a split, but I'm with Fitz in the fact that I think it'd probably be 60-40, 65-35.
12:48Like, it's not a split where I'm really concerned about Gentty's value.
12:52It just comes down to week one, what do we find out?
12:55If we get a full practice report later today, because we record this early on Thursday, full on Friday, I'll move Gentty up.
13:02It just comes down to what is he right now and kind of like a Raider situation is do we need to really risk it in week one?
13:10So that comes down. Like, I get everything you're saying, Fitz.
13:13It's like the Dolphins. It should be easy. But at the same time, like part of me is like, well, then why
13:20do we kill Gentty in week one? Where are you at, Jake, on Achan just individually?
13:24Are you, you know, ahead, below of consensus? I'll pull up where he's currently ranked.
13:29I think it's something like 18th, 16th right now.
13:31Yeah, I'm ahead. I'm ahead because he's got no competition for touches right now with no Camara.
13:36I was concerned about him this entire offseason, the fact that Camara went nowhere.
13:40But the fact until Camara comes back, I'm not worried about Kendrick Miller.
13:44Like that's the truth right there. Look at the Notre Dame guy fading Audrick Estame.
13:48So depressing. I guess I knew who Estame was when he came out.
13:52He was a beneficiary of that offensive line. I was very high on Estame when he came out.
13:57Oh, no. Like, yeah, you can go that. You can check the record on that one.
14:02Like I missed some things. But that was like I said about Estame is that if the offensive line blocks three yards, he's going to get you four.
14:10If they block zero yards, he's going to get you one.
14:13If they like you're going to get one yard after contact, basically, period.
14:17Oh, man. All right. Let's let's go to another running back debate here.
14:21How about Jordan Mason versus Tony Pollard? Jake, I'll start with you on this one.
14:25I want to say Jordan Mason. Like, I really do believe that they are invested to the run to make this more balanced.
14:32But I still have Tony Pollard slightly in front just because I know that Tony Pollard is the lead option.
14:38And I know Tony Pollard is going to lead the backfield at least for an eight might.
14:43It might only be 50, 55 percent. But I mean, that's kind of what we're hoping Jordan Mason can get back to all the excitement from last year.
14:51Is why I think he's a good value for this season.
14:54But I'll take Tony Pollard just for week one with the hope that I'm switching that as early as next week, because
15:00I have a lot of Jordan Mason because he was so much cheaper this year than he was last season.
15:06Tony Pollard's RB 27 in consensus. And by the way, if I ever are referencing consensus rankings, I'm talking about half PPR.
15:12It's just simplest to always be referring to that.
15:15He's RB 27. Jordan Mason's RB 32. So about five spots.
15:18Well, exactly five spots apart there. But Fitz, I know you've been high on Jordan Mason both kind of later in draft
15:25season from a season long view and also for this week in some of the early week one shows we've talked about.
15:31So I'm wondering if you maybe have Mason higher than Pollard.
15:34Yeah, late in draft season, I was sprinting as fast as I could, which wasn't very fast after the Jordan Mason bandwagon
15:41as it was pulling out of the station. Just barely was able to jump on before it got up to full speed.
15:47I took Mason in a few of my last fantasy drafts in 2026 after hearing from some smart people, including Robert Mays
15:53of Jake's outfit, the athletic, saying that Mason looks like he's ticketed to be the Vikings lead back in a redesigned running
16:00scheme that looks like a great fit for him.
16:02And meanwhile, like Jake, do we know for sure that Tony Pollard is going to be the lead back for the Titans?
16:09Like the way they deploy their running backs in the preseason made it seem like a total timeshare between Pollard and Spears.
16:15In fact, I think I've done Spears though before.
16:18And that's the thing is that's my concern is that I feel like we've given the Spears seven chances.
16:23We get a new play caller, though, you know, it's it's stable now.
16:27And I think on plays where in the preseason starting QB Cam Ward was on the field with the rest of the
16:33Titans offensive starters, I think Spears actually narrowly out snapped Pollard.
16:37So I don't know. Plus, just with this dilemma, Mason versus Pollard, Vikings offense should be somewhere from respectable to good.
16:43And I think most people are expecting the Titans offense to be hot garbage juice this season.
16:48What do you think fits about these respective run defenses that they're facing?
16:51Just Green Bay early on here and then, you know, the Jets, obviously, that Pollard's going up against.
16:57Do you feel like one of those matchups is better than the other?
17:00Packers defense was not great against the run down the stretch last year, but they were also without Devontae Wyatt and some of their other pieces.
17:08Like, I think they're going to be just average until they get Micah Parsons back.
17:12Jets, kind of a mystery. Like, I'm not really weighing that in so much as just more the caliber of the respective offenses.
17:19Jake, you viewed a similar. Yeah, I was going to say that's fair.
17:23I think we expect. And like, that's the thing is I talk about all the time that defense has changed within season, let alone offseason, offseason.
17:30I mean, just the proof just from last night's game of what we could expect, like Patriots wise on that side of things.
17:37So, like, don't do too much in the defensive thing.
17:40But I will say what we expect is that the Jets are one of the best run defenses to face for running
17:46backs and one of the worst in the league.
17:49What we expect if they're alongside the Packers in a similar situation, I understand.
17:53And to be clear, they are both in the same tier for me.
17:57But that's why you pick these players is because they're super close.
18:00I'm not going to. This isn't one I'm going to.
18:03I'm not going to push back as much as the Mike Washington hate as I will on this one.
18:08Yeah. But by the way, speaking of the Mike Washington stuff, just a few minutes ago while we're recording.
18:14So I just want to read it. There was a quote from Dan Graziano from ESPN.
18:19The sense I get out of Vegas is that the Raiders feel running back Ashton Gentty will be healthy enough to play in the opener.
18:26The team was never concerned that it was a serious issue.
18:29That said, the Raiders do love rookie running back Mike Washington Jr.
18:33And he could get more reps than expected in week one because Gentty sat out so much practice time.
18:38So Fitz still probably doesn't believe that. But that was a quote that came out less than 10 minutes ago.
18:44I actually took Mike Washington in my very last draft of the 2026 fantasy draft season.
18:49Okay, there we go. So you have at least one share of him there.
18:53Yeah, just quickly on Mason and Pollard to wrap that up.
18:56They're kind of ranked in a range where I think it's very possible that there are teams out there who have to decide on them in the flex.
19:04I didn't put them as a flex option here in today's kind of show.
19:08But the sorts of wide receivers that are ranked around them, do you guys feel like you would be leaning towards the
19:14receivers or towards one of these running backs? Like Fitz, I imagine you would say you would still be going Mason just
19:21because you've been sort of not planting your flag, but like kind of going in that direction.
19:26Or are there receivers in this range that you would rather start over?
19:29Give me the names of some of the receivers in that approximate range.
19:33Let's pull it up here. I should have done that before asking the question.
19:37I thought you had it. Marvin Harrison, Chris Godwin, Quentin Johnston.
19:40Terry McLaurin's right next to Tony Pollard in consensus rankings in the flex rankings.
19:44Like I'm taking most of these wide receivers just because I'd rather- Yeah, Michael Pittman, Carnell Tate, Michael Wilson.
19:50A healthy Michael Pittman. I would think Tate I could go back and forth on, but I had to answer first.
19:56Like, well, Fitz is thinking about it over there.
19:59I'm going most of these wide receivers, including like the upside of Quentin Johnson versus what we don't know the split will be for any of these.
20:06Like we're assuming, but that's why I would just go with the wide receiver.
20:11Pollard is next to like Parker Washington and Mike Evans, Roman, dude.
20:14Like that one I think is pretty easy for us.
20:17But yeah, where Mason is in the flex rankings, it's, yeah, it's Coralton Sutton, Quentin Johnson, like Jake mentioned, some of those other names.
20:24Yeah, I do think in our NECR this week, Mason is vastly undervalued and Pollard vastly overvalued.
20:29Okay. Yeah. I mean, I- That seems fair. Like I have a fairly, I only have Mason ranked three spots higher than
20:35Pollard, but I think most people have Pollard probably like eight spots ahead of Mason, which is kind of nuts.
20:41Yeah. You were going to say it, say it.
20:44You said preposterous. I heard it. Preposterous. I was starting to say it.
20:47All right, let's, let's, we've been spending enough time on that.
20:51Let's go to the wide receiver debate. Ted Rowe-McMillan versus A Flowers is the first one I have here.
20:56Let me double check where they are currently in ECR because this can change throughout the week, although not as much usually in week one.
21:03Yeah, they are wide receiver 13 and wide receiver 16 here.
21:07So both ranked obviously in ranges where you would want to start one of them.
21:11But in the scenario where somebody went, you know, heavy in other positions and, you know, actually does have to make this decision.
21:18Where are you going with this one, Fitz? No offense to our resident Ravens fan.
21:22Worm, you know I'm a Zay Flowers advocate. And you know I'm not.
21:26So I will not take offense to this for sure.
21:29But I would go with Ted Rowe-McMillan here. The Chicago Bears defense is going to be really bad this season.
21:34Chicago is going to be a defense we will target in fantasy.
21:38All year. And one of the few bright spots on their defense is cornerback Jalen Johnson.
21:42But Johnson, like he's going to get some face time with McMillan.
21:46It's just really hard for cornerbacks to hold up in coverage and for zone coverage to stay intact when the pass rush can't get home.
21:53And lack of pass rush is the biggest concern for the Chicago Bears in 2026.
21:58So this is a favorable matchup for McMillan, who I think has a chance to get into the CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens tier of wide receivers this year.
22:06Like this guy is really good. He came in as an early declare rookie last year and had a thousand receiving yards
22:12with a quarterback who averaged 6.4 yards per attempt.
22:15Like McMillan is a future star. And Zay Flowers is really good too.
22:18But so are the Colts cornerbacks. Sauce Gardner and Charverius Ward.
22:22Like Charverius Ward is not often healthy. He's missed 15 games over the last two years.
22:26But he is excellent with healthy. And everyone knows that Sauce is awesome.
22:30Plus, Flowers has been dealing with this hamstring injury.
22:33Seems like it's not that big of a deal.
22:35And he's, you know, expected to play. But there's at least a slight element of risk there.
22:40So I'm going with McMillan. With the Discover Cash Back Card, it's payback time when you earn cash back on everyday purchases.

23:45We know kids don't hold back. And I wouldn't want them to.
23:48Get in there. Make a mess. Slide for home.
23:51Bring on the stains. I've got OxyClean Versatile Stain Remover.
23:54It works on over 100 stains and it's America's number one stain fighter additive brand.
23:58It's color safe and chlorine free. So I use it on whites, colors, and dark fabrics.
24:03And OxyClean isn't just for laundry. Mix it with water for use all around the house, kitchens, bathrooms, and even floors.
24:09When my kids go all in, I say go for it because I've got OxyClean to get the stains out.
24:15It's not clean unless it's OxyClean. I feel like despite the fact that both guys are ranked very highly in consensus fits,
24:21there is a little bit of risk. I actually think with both of them, the risk is not with the talent of either player in my opinion.
24:29It's kind of what you laid out with Zay.
24:32And also just the fact like the Ravens, when they've had a new offensive coordinator with Lamar Jackson, I've talked about this
24:38a lot, like he's won the MVP both times it's happened.
24:41They've also come out hot very quickly. Like I think back to that 2019 game, first game with Greg Roman, where they
24:47won, what was it, like 57-3 against the Dolphins.
24:50Like they have not needed a ramp-up period in new offenses always.
24:54I wonder if this offense, they've talked a lot about it being a lot more detail-oriented and a little bit more complicated in some of these past offenses.
25:02I wonder if there is more of a ramp-up period for this passing game.
25:06Also just the fact that Lamar didn't play in the preseason, neither did any of these starters.
25:11So all of that is in the back of my mind for Zay for week one.
25:15But then with Ted Rowe McMillan, it's just like as great a player as he is, and I have no doubt, and
25:22as bad a defense as he's facing, is his offensive environment going to be enough for him to really smash in the
25:28way that his talent with GSC can? So Fitz, I think it's interesting.
25:32Like I don't think you are picking the wrong side here.
25:35I think it's close between them. That's why I picked these two names.
25:39But I do think there is like an interesting risk to both of them despite their high rankings here.
25:44Jake, I'm curious what direction you would go between Ted Rowe McMillan and Zay Flowers.
25:49I was looking for something to do this with because I'm going to do it and like see if I can.
25:55I'm going to throw it back at Fitz. There is his argument for the better offense, and that's what I'm doing here.
26:01Like when it comes to this range, I'm chasing Zay Flowers in the better offense, the better quarterback.
26:06I'm not worried about them not playing together. There's with Declan Doyle's possible changes, more under center, more play action, whatever it might be.
26:13That's the one thing I knew. Like if this was a new wide receiver coming to the Ravens or a rookie like
26:20Jacoby Lane and what we saw in the preseason, but without Lamar Jackson, I'd be more concerned.
26:25But I'm just going to go for Zay Flowers because we got what we wanted finally out of Zay Flowers.
26:30There's a complete season of ascending to wide receiver one status.
26:34And I don't want to take anything away from Ted Rowe McMillan.
26:37I actually agree with Fitz on one thing. It's like if we're talking preseason, I actually thought he was getting too much hate.
26:44Like we got a pretty terrific like rookie season from Ted Rowe McMillan, even with Bryce Young.
26:49But I think that's the biggest thing is we're hoping that Canales and that his system is finally clicking.
26:54It usually takes a while for these offensive changes to happen.
26:57And he has been a master at times. But some people attribute that to saying like, well, he had better talent than Bryce Young.
27:04And as of right now, it's hard to argue differently.
27:07So at least in week one, I'm going for Zay Flowers.
27:10With rooting, that Fitz is the least on point.
27:13Like I still want to be right. But I'm hoping Ted Rowe McMillan is right there with him because I do have a lot of McMillan this year.
27:21Where are these two guys ranked for you, Fitz?
27:24Zay Flowers, wide receiver 13. Ted Rowe McMillan, wide receiver 16 in consensus.
27:28I have got Ted Rowe McMillan at wide receiver 12.
27:30And Zay Flowers, a wide receiver 18. 12 and 18.
27:33So you're lower on Zay. I have them flipped.
27:3612 and 18. Exactly. Yeah. So Jake is closer to consensus.
27:39He's one spot higher on Zay and two spots lower on McMillan.
27:43Fitz, you're further off. You're about as low relative to consensus on Flowers as you are high on McMillan relative to consensus.
27:49Tough matchup, man. Those cornerbacks are good. And by the way, this fun matchup in that it sort of revisits that Bears-Panthers
27:55trade that gave these two teams the quarterbacks they now have.
27:59Yeah. Yeah. That's a fun one on the Carolina-Chicago one, too.
28:02Less fun for Panthers fans than for Bears fans.
28:04Maybe just a little bit. All right. Let's go to another wide receiver debate here.
28:09How about Marvin Harrison Jr. versus Michael Pittman? Two names that we mentioned kind of ranked in that flex range around the Jordan Masons of the world.
28:17But we're talking about receivers here. Let's say you went strong at running back and you need to make this receiver decision.
28:23What are you doing here, Jake? I like them both as wide receiver threes, honestly.
28:27And I've been champion that the fact that Marvin Harrison was treated as the number one with the fact that all three
28:34being healthy with Jacoby Brissette, that being Michael Wilson, Terry McBride, and Marvin Harrison, all three together.
28:39It's a very small sample. It's basically like three and a half games.
28:42But Marvin Harrison was treated like the number one.
28:45That all being said, a healthy Michael Pittman, I think, might actually be.
28:49There's a chance. I wouldn't pin in on it.
28:51But I think there's a chance he might be the more valuable wide receiver than DK Metcalf with the Steelers this year under Mike McCarthy.
28:59So given that and against Atlanta, which is missing a lot of pieces, including the injury straight out from their rookie, I
29:05just think there's an opportunity here for them to come out strong.
29:08And I believe that it's going to be a slightly like when I'm looking at the Steelers versus the Cardinals, I'm hoping that that Harrison thing carries over.
29:17I still think McBride's the one and we're trying to figure out Harrison or Wilson.
29:21I would be surprised if I'm wrong. And Michael Wilson ends up being the two.
29:25The one thing I know about the Steelers, the one of the two is DK Metcalf and Pittman.
29:30There's no conversation. There's no concern. There's no tight end involvement that we have to be worried about.
29:36There will be some, I mean, as into the level of McBride.
29:39So it just comes down to that. It's very close.
29:42This is another one where I'm not going to say you're crazy to disagree with me.
29:47It's just, I'm going to take what I believe is a top two target share versus three people where I don't know
29:53that Marvin Harris is definitively the number two. I've been kind of operating Jake for this game in particular, as if I
29:59kind of think the Steelers are just going to smash the Falcons and maybe not really need to throw all that much.
30:06So even if he is like the clear number two, I always get that argument.
30:10Let's just like, and I'm not coming for you.
30:13This is just like, I, I, I hate going that direction because it is a valid point, but it's, it's crutchiness at
30:19the same time, because if they get up 21 to nothing, the chances that it was all run and no Michael Pittman.
30:26It's there. The chance is there. And then they don't need Michael Pittman to throw after that.
30:30But I'm just saying like you get up two, three, four scores.
30:34A lot of times, well, somebody was involved getting there.
30:37Um, so that's like, I use it a little bit more for running back as in, I wouldn't worry about it too
30:43much because there's a good chance to running back up there and we'll be used to grind out the clock.
30:49But I just, I don't want to fall into that trap too much.
30:53We've been surprised before to go back to one weeks, one, two, and three last year where people had eight, nine, 10
30:59point edges and it ended up being a loss and it was competitive the entire time.
31:04So that's, that's, and I'm not coming for you.
31:06I'm just saying like, I just don't want to use that too much as an argument.
31:11Right. Also, have you seen what the number is on this game?
31:15It's Steelers by it's like three and a half and a half.
31:18Right. Yeah. You would think it would be a lot more, but shocking.
31:22I think it might be a remnant of the Mike Tomlin Steelers where when you think the Steelers are going to smash someone, they always lay an egg.
31:30And whenever you think the Steelers are completely overmatched, they play a whale of a game and like make it either a nail bite or a win.
31:38And that's how it always was under Tomlin. I don't know if that continues with Mike McCarthy, but like, I think I might end up being right.
31:46Steelers minus three and a half is my favorite bet of the entire state.
31:50It looks good, but I've. This front against Tua, like I would be different if it was Pennix, the front against Tua in Pittsburgh.
31:57I'm like, you know, Rogers as healthy as he will be, you know, at his age starting a season.
32:02Mike McCarthy has his flaws, but he's a good regular season coach.
32:06Like I think that the Steelers are going to win by a lot.
32:09My betting pros app tells me that over the last five years, I've had the most success with of all the NFL
32:16teams had the most success betting the Steelers because I've recognized the Mike Tomlin pattern and have played that.
32:21Like when this looks like a sucker play. If this was Mike Tomlin, I bet the Falcons.
32:26I think that's very fair. Yeah, I. Yeah, that's my that's my stance on that game for this particular debate, though, Fitz Marvin Harrison Jr.
32:33or Michael Pittman. Do you have a lean? I think I drafted Michael Pittman once in my many spring and summer drafts,
32:40and I don't think I drafted DK Metcalf at all.
32:43I just I don't want wide receivers in the Pittsburgh offense, which is just so constricted with late career Aaron Rodgers.
32:49I mean, maybe Pittman can kind of work with Rodgers and Jake was just hinting at this since Pittman is more of
32:55a short range intermediate target than DK is. But I'm just not very interested in tapping the Pittsburgh passing game for fantasy.
33:02Also, the Falcons look like a really bad team on paper, but one of their few strengths is their defensive backfield.
33:08They've got the Terrell brothers, AJ and Avion. They've got a really good pair of safeties with Jesse Bates and Xavier Watts.
33:14They've got slot corner Billy Bowman coming back from injury.
33:17And yeah, I have been kind of skeptical about Marvin Harrison Jr.
33:20taking things to another level after the disappointing start to his career.
33:24But I have at least a little bit of hope that things are going to look a little different for him in Michael Fleur's offense.
33:31So I would play Marvin Harrison Jr. I drafted Fitz more Marvin Harrison Jr.
33:35than I intended to this draft season. It wasn't really a goal, but I just kind of ended up with him in
33:42a lot of spots where I was like, he's sort of the last receiver in the draft rankings that I was like,
33:48I can build at least a case for some upside here.
33:51I felt like there was a real gap between the top 30, 31 guys and everybody else.
33:56And I did have Pittman on the other side of that and Harrison sort of as the last on the upside side.
34:02So I do have a lot more Harrison than Pittman.
34:05And I recognize there's a lot of paths here where that doesn't play out.
34:09And it was like, I mean, that's why he was going outside the top 30, right?
34:14It's not like there was a ton of risk associated with his draft capital.
34:18But I want to give him one more chance and I want to see kind of if there's real upside here because
34:24I drafted him as if there maybe could be.
34:27I have never personally worn glasses, but I do have plenty of friends who do.
34:31And every one of them has complained to me for years about how complicated and overpriced it can be.
34:37And when you buy online, it is such a risk of whether or not they'll even look good on you.
34:43This is why I recommend Warby Parker. While I don't wear glasses, I do live in Denver with our 300 Days of
34:49Sun, making a quality, stylish pair of sunglasses a must.
34:52The process is so easy, especially with their virtual try-on tool.
34:55Right from my phone, I could see just how well the frames are going to look on my actual face.
35:01And as soon as they arrived, I could instantly tell these were far better quality than the cheap ones I've bought before.
35:07Even my friends who give me a hard time for my lack of style have complimented these.
35:12I even have them sitting right here so I can show them off these very stylish sunglasses.
35:17I know Fitz is very jealous. He's a man of style.
35:20So these are kind of hard to put them on with the headphones.
35:24But very good-looking sunglasses. Very happy to have these here in Denver.
35:28So remember, Warby Parker has everything you need for happier eyes.
35:31It's not just prescription glasses but sunglasses, contacts, online eye exams, and more.
35:35Plus, you have in-person options at over 300 retail stores across the country.
35:38You won't need them if you use their virtual try-on tool.
35:42Right now, buy one pair of glasses and get 20% off any additional pairs at warbyparker.com slash fantasypros.
35:47That's 20% off any additional pairs when you purchase one pair at warbyparker.com slash fantasypros.
35:51All right, guys. Let's get into our rapid-fire start-sit decisions.
35:54We don't have to lighten around these, but we'll move a little quicker on these as we try to get through a
36:00lot more names for everybody here on this show every week.
36:04At running back, I actually want to stick with the Steelers conversation we were just having.
36:08How about Rico Dowdle versus Jalen Warren? Fitz, do you have a favorite in this game where, like I said, I kind
36:15of expect the Steelers to win by a lot, so maybe the running game is a good place to look.
36:20Which Steelers running back do you prefer? I definitely have a favorite, and this has been a big point of contention between
36:27me and some other people in the offseason. I was just talking about late career Aaron Rodgers and what that has looked like for the Steelers.
36:34I think Jalen Warren is just a much, much better fit for late career Aaron Rodgers than Rico Dowdle is.
36:40Rodgers can't move anymore and does not want to take hits.
36:43He needs a running back who can block for him and catch passes.
36:47Jalen Warren is a much better pass catcher and pass blocker than Rico Dowdle is.
36:51And I personally think Jalen Warren is a better runner than Rico is, too.
36:56Fitz or something. Jake, do you have a preference?
36:58Yeah, we've had this conversation. I'm on the opposite side of it.
37:02I think that Rico Dowdle with Mike McCarthy, part of the pulling similar to he talked about Wondell Robinson with Brian Dable and the connection there.
37:09I think Rico Dowdle is better three down than Jalen Warren is.
37:13I don't disagree with the pass blocking concerns, but I'm not worried enough to say that he won't be a split in the lead.
37:20I think this is going to be 55-45, maybe even 50-50.
37:23Najee Harris, Jalen Warren, though we've done it for years back in the day.
37:27But I just think the split is in that direction.
37:30And a split in a game where I expect them, I will agree and go back to what you were saying before,
37:36Worm, is that I do think the Steelers are going to be in control in this game.
37:41So I would take Dowdle in control games. I would take Warren in games where I think they're going to have to
37:47pass more and play catch up to agree with Fitz's concern there.
37:51But this is one of the games where I do think it leans towards Dowdle.
37:55But this is why I wanted to avoid the backfield because I don't want to try and play that game every single week.
38:02That is the point I was actually going to follow up with you on, Fitz, is if I am right about how
38:08I think this game is going to play out, do you think that would maybe skew it in Dowdle's favor?
38:14Not really. I don't know. I'm just I'm rejecting the whole McCarthy Dowdle narrative because McCarthy had Dowdle the year Tony Pollard was coming off that leg injury.
38:22He had sustained the previous playoffs and like just was not good that whole next season.
38:27And Rico Dowdle couldn't get on the field. Dowdle had like 70 carries that next year, even though Tony Pollard was really mediocre.
38:34So I just I don't think like I'm not buying the Mike McCarthy loves Rico Dowdle narrative.
38:38But man, this backfield like this is why you should never draft two guys in a split backfield because it's possible that
38:45this is a 50 50 and you will be pulling your hair out every week trying to figure out the right guy if that's the case.
38:52Let's go to a wide receiver one here. How about Quentin Johnston versus Stefan Diggs, Jake?
38:57I'm going for the upside. I do believe that Stefan Diggs is probably going to be one of the beneficiaries if that
39:03Jane and Daniels doesn't have time behind what is being called the worst offensive line we've seen in 10 years by some people.
39:10Everybody covering this team is saying it's worrisome how bad it looks.
39:14So what does that mean? Potentially more for Stefan Diggs.
39:16But at the same time, you know, what if it's seven targets and average depth of target six just because like so
39:23I'm just going to take the upside of what I've been on for Quentin Johnson this preseason.
39:28It could turn into a goose egg. It could be that bad, but especially in a game where we expect the Chargers to be in control.
39:35But I just think that Quentin Johnson has a chance to be the Tyreek Hill version.
39:40He's not Tyreek Hill, but when you're talking about Tyreek Hill and Jalen Waddell and you're talking about Quentin Johnson and Ladd
39:46McConkie, well Ladd McConkie and Jalen Waddell go a lot better together than Quentin Johnston.
39:51But using Quentin Johnston more than just go down 20 yards downfield every single time.
39:55But even if so, to me, that's what I was bringing up, the bigger playability, the bigger upside of Tyreek Hill on a per pass basis.
40:03I'm going to chase that at least in week one versus these two.
40:06Fitz, I had Diggs ranked higher than Johnston in draft season, but tough matchup, horrific offensive line.
40:11What do you think for week one? Yeah, I swear to you, dear viewers, there will be shows, start-sit shows this season
40:18where Jake, Seeley and I agree on things. But apparently this is not going to be one of those shows because we are diametrically opposed on everything.
40:25I'm going QJ here. I am optimistic that Mike McDaniel can tap into Quentin Johnston's catch and run ability.
40:31And Diggs' matchup against the Eagles just scares me.
40:34A good defensive backfield in Philly just got even better with the addition of Reek Wallen.
40:38And plus, Stephon Diggs and Jaden Daniels have never played a regular season game together.
40:43Justin Herbert and Quentin Johnston have played a lot of games together.
40:46Yeah. Let's do some flex questions here. One with a couple of big names.
40:50I wanted to do one, again, talking about this Atlanta Steelers game.
40:54I wanted to get one on Drake London with Tua at quarterback because I know that was a reason that some of
41:00us at Fantasy Pros were fading him during draft season was because of the quarterback question mark.
41:05So Drake London versus Brees Hall, Fitz, who do you like at flex if you have a very strong team?
41:11This is really hard. I think I've got them side by side in my flex rankings with Drake London one spot higher.
41:17But honestly, with my concern about what Tua Tungavailoa is going to look like against the Steelers defense in Pittsburgh, it's going to be Brees Hall for me.
41:25Jake? Yeah, this is a close one to you, but between the two, I like the Brees Hall upside if he's 100%.
41:32And I think that Tua concern is enough that, you know, Drake London, Brees Hall will be a tough call with panics.
41:38And this kind of makes it just easier for Brees at this point.
41:42We agree. Woo-hoo. Yeah. There you go. Yeah. Fitz did promise it would happen.
41:46By the way, just quickly, where do you guys have Drake London ranked amongst receivers?
41:50He's wide receiver 10, but again, with Tua at Pittsburgh, like that makes me pretty nervous.
41:55He's got, if you look at fantasy pros, they have like kind of upside sentiment and consensus like bust sentiment.
42:01His bust ranking is like the highest of anybody in the top 15 by a wide margin at receivers.
42:06Jake, where is he ranked for you? 14. I'm behind Higgins, Flowers, Devonta, A.J.
42:10Brown. That was fun. And up from there. But I'm 14.
42:13Fitz? 11 and it scares me. 11 and it scares you.
42:17Okay. Let's do another flex one here. How about Jalen Waddell versus Bayshael Tootin?
42:21Fitz, who's your favorite of those two? Jalen Waddell.
42:23We just don't know what sort of role Bayshael Tootin is going to have early on.
42:28And while the Jaguars are probably going to get a run-friendly game script at home against the Browns, I don't want to
42:34start a guy who could potentially be a committee back over a top 20 wide receiver.
42:39Jake? Yeah, this one is almost back-to-back for me.
42:41I do have Tootin barely in front, but this one comes down to it just, it's the, even in what we don't
42:48know what the split's going to be, I know Tootin's going to get touches.
42:52And I expect Jalen Waddell to get targets. It just comes down to, unless you need to guarantee you're going to get some points, I will go Waddell.
43:00I just, the guarantee is that Tootin's going to touch the ball at least half the time.
43:05So that's really what it comes down to. If you didn't want to risk the potential two, like an A.J.
43:11Brown situation, without injury, like just it's a bad game that we don't expect, that would be the only concern, but I don't expect that.
43:18Where is Waddell ranked for you against this newly- They're both in the 40s.
43:22Overall. Both in the 40s. At wide receiver. A flex.
43:25Yeah, yeah, at flex. At wide receiver, he's pushing top 20, I think.
43:29Fits somewhere range for you? Oh, are we talking about- On Waddell.
43:32Overall or- Either overall, 40s-ish receiver around that top 20.
43:35Positional, I've got Waddell, wide receiver 19. Okay, yeah.
43:38Let's actually stick with Denver. How about J.K. Dobbins versus D.K.
43:41Metcalf? Jake, I'll start with you on this one.
43:44Yeah, until he gets hurt, J.K. Dobbins. That's what it comes down to.
43:47I'll bring up the fact before where I said it wouldn't shock me if Pittman is the better wide receiver, fantasy value-wise, than D.K.
43:54Metcalf. So, as long as Dobbins is healthy, we've seen it before.
43:58Top 20 running back. And I know there's concerns about Jonah Coleman, but that's more for me if Dobbins gets hurt.
44:04So, all healthy. It's J.K. Dobbins for me. Yeah, I gotta say, J.K.
44:08Dobbins is ranked in the week one rankings really close to where he was in the draft rankings.
44:13That surprised me. The reason that there was hesitation on ranking him higher in draft rankings for me was injury related.
44:19When he's healthy, to your point, Jake, I thought he was going to be higher.
44:23He's already 31 in the consensus week one rankings.
44:26That feels low to me even in Kansas City.
44:28I do think there are legitimate concerns that Jonah Coleman could turn this into a three-headed backfield.
44:33And we have seen Sean Payton use three-headed backfields in New Orleans before.
44:37So, if Coleman is any good, that's what this could turn out to be.
44:41I'm still going J.K. Dobbins here. As I said before, I just don't want either the Pittsburgh wide receivers against a pretty good Atlanta secondary.
44:48It's also one of those things, and I'm not even saying this is the right way to approach fantasy decisions, but if I drafted J.K.
44:56Dobbins, I definitely have an emotional attack. Let me start him while I can.
45:00I have him on my team. I'm not going to risk sitting him one of the few healthy weeks that I expect out of him.
45:07And just the way your mind works might even be enough of a tiebreaker for you, if you see this as very close.
45:14One more flex one here. Jake, Wandale Robinson or Kenny Gainwell?
45:17Gross and gross. I'll take the—this is another one.
45:19Just with how broken the Titans offense looked this preseason and the fact that there's not even a guarantee that Wandale Robinson
45:26is going to see the workload or volume, I should say, that he did with the Giants with Calvin Ridley being healthy right now for whatever that means.
45:34I know he's the wide receiver three, but it's just you have Tate as the one question mark Robinson volume.
45:40You have question mark how much Ridley is involved.
45:42Question mark, like how much time is it going to take for Cam Ward to look good in this offense?
45:48I've referenced it a lot that speaking of the Giants in this situation, but like Eli Manning took six games to get
45:55the new offense back in the day, and that's at the peak of his career.
45:59And I know people want to argue whether or not Hall of Fame, but it matters when you're talking about learning a new offense.
46:06And so far, it's looked gross for Cam Ward.
46:08So I'll lean to Kenny Gainwell. I just I'll take the opportunity.
46:12The fact that Fitz and I agree on Bucky Irving, like make that clear.
46:16I just I think that Kenny Gainwell can come out and still have RB3 value, even with Bucky being a potential top 15 running back.
46:23I think both can be true. Fitz? Yeah, Jake just referenced it.
46:27And Worm, you certainly know also I'm a Bucky Irving guy.
46:30And all offseason, there were a lot of people saying Gainwell was going to share work evenly or even outtouch Bucky this season.
46:37And I always thought that was a load of hooey.
46:40And I still think it's a load of hooey.
46:42So give me Wandale over Gainwell. I think Wandale is going to continue to provide the same sort of scammy Wandale Robinson
46:48PPR value that he provided under play caller Brian Dable with the Giants for a few years.
46:53And now we're getting the Wandale Dable pairing in Tennessee.
46:56So I am I'm fully expecting a classic Wandale Robinson seven catches for 52 yards stat line this week.
47:02And all the times we've hung out in person, Fitz, I don't think I've ever heard you say hooey before.
47:08We've got two of them here. Let's go to a quarterback one here.
47:11Bo Nix or Malik Willis? Neither guy in consensus is ranked as a starter.
47:15But I think it was such a narrative this year about late QB is the way to go.
47:21You can take a couple of swings outside the top 13 or 14.
47:24I think there's going to be a lot of teams who have Willis and somebody in this range.
47:30So I wanted to make sure that I included him and their back to back in consensus QB 17, QB 18.
47:36Fitz, who's your preference between Bo Nix and Malik Willis this week?
47:39Malik Willis. We know what a cheat code running quarterbacks are.
47:42And Bo Nix does run a little bit himself, but not like Malik Willis.
47:46I mean, Malik Willis, Worm, I've told you, I think Lamar Jackson might be the best running quarterback of all time.
47:53I think Malik Willis is almost in the Lamar class.
47:55And are we even sure Bo Nix is good?
47:58Like he averaged 6.8 yards per attempt as a rookie and 6.4 yards per attempt last year.
48:036.4 is a bad number. That is the same number as the 2025 YPA of Bryce Young.
48:08I'm not sure that Bo Nix is great. I think he's pretty good, at least in terms of a fit with Sean Payton.
48:15And they had the most pass attempts at football last year.
48:18So like that obviously really helps. You've been subjected to the Bo Nix industrial complex in Denver.
48:23Well, I was just going to say, a lot of the Denver people I know I was seeing online last night were
48:29saying things like watching Drake May have his three interception game.
48:32They were saying that I saw some definitive comments, some declarations of Bo Nix is the best quarterback in the 2024 class.
48:39Oh, goodness gracious. I do not agree with that, to be clear.
48:42I have not been indoctrinated into the Denver mindset of that.
48:45But no, I mean, obviously it's a good fantasy situation for Bo Nix, even if you can quibble about the level of player.
48:52Jake, who do you prefer between Nix and Willis?
48:55Look, here's the thing is we actually know Nix is amazing if it was only in the fourth quarter.
49:00Like we just take all of his fourth quarters of our full season and we might be talking about a top five quarterback.
49:07Let's be honest. So I think Nix is interesting in the fact that, and I'm not saying either of you or Fitz
49:13especially is saying this, but for what he did last year, I think kind of blew away expectations to a degree at times.
49:20There was definitely questions. There was definitely flaws. But also I just think that Sean Payton got his style of quarterback.
49:26Sean Payton also for everybody talking up this off season.
49:29Again, I'm not throwing shots at anybody on the show, but talking about the addition to Jalen Waddell.
49:34And I'm kind of like, but that's what Bo Nix needed.
49:37And I just, I really am. This is coming from somebody that wasn't, I want to make this clear.
49:43I wasn't a fan of Bo Nix coming out of college.
49:46I actually thought he was overdrafted. I think a lot of people were surprised by that.
49:51And I wasn't a fan of Bo Nix and fantasy last year.
49:54It was like these two inconsistent. But at this point, I think the collection of what they put together and Sean Payton
50:00leaning on him this year to do more, I'm going Bo Nix slightly.
50:04And Willis has, I've said this a million times on this show, on this network, Willis has top five upside because of the rushing.
50:11But we've played that game before with other quarterbacks.
50:14And the floor is just my concern here. The floor is that if he even runs 60 yards, but only gets 180
50:20passing zero touchdowns, which again, I do think Malik Willis is better than that.
50:24But there's a lot to ask among rookies in the first week.
50:28And just, so I'm going Nix, but it's, I mean, it's back to back.
50:32I have no problem if you want to go Wills.
50:35Where do you have these guys ranked, Jake? 14, 15.
50:38All right. I've got Willis 13 and Nix 18.
50:40So you hate Bo Nix. A large gap there for Fitz.
50:43Who do you hate more, Bo Nix or Mike Washington?
50:46Mike Washington. I don't, I don't hate Bo Nix.
50:49I really don't. And I'm just going to keep bringing that up.
50:52Denver Broncos fans, I will grant you that Bo Nix is better than Jarrett Stenum.
50:57Yes. An important distinction to be made. One more rapid fire one here.
51:00Tight end. Mark Andrews or Isaiah Likely. I thought it'd be fun to put the two former teammates head to head.
51:07They're close in the rankings as well. Jake. So there are three answers to your question because it's half PPR, full PPR.
51:13Isaiah Likely. Non-PPR. Mark Andrews is the only place I would put Mark Andrews ahead of Isaiah Likely this week.
51:19Because I think even looking at the departures and the changes for the Ravens, Mark Andrews still touched down our bus.
51:25And I mean, departure is basically the departure of Isaiah Likely.
51:28I really think Mark Andrews is going to live in that world where for him to get top five, six tight end
51:34value, he's going to score 10, 11 touchdowns. He's just not a volume guy anymore.
51:39And not that he ever was high, high volume, but you get my point.
51:43So I'm going Likely for the receptions especially, not knowing how much Malik Neighbors is going to be 100% or play in week one.
51:50But again, non-PPR would chase the touchdown ceiling of Andrews.
51:53In half PPR, they are back-to-back. They're tight end 11 and tight end 12.
51:57Isaiah Likely is tight end 11. Mark Andrews is tight end 12.
52:00Fitz, you talked about being a little nervous about the cornerbacks for the Colts for Isaiah Flowers.
52:05Does that maybe open up like when they pass, it'll have to go to Andrews?
52:09They don't have a lot of proven commodities otherwise.
52:12What are you doing with this one? Yes, and Jake, Mark Andrews has not been a volume guy while playing with Isaiah Likely.
52:19And now Isaiah Likely is on the opposite sideline.
52:21And I've dropped this stat on like four or five offseason shows, and I'm going to drop it one last time.
52:27During Lamar Jackson's seven full seasons as the Ravens' starting quarterback, here is where Baltimore's tight ends have ranked in percentage of team targets.
52:34First, fifth, first, first, tenth, fourth, and fourth. Like Lamar likes throwing you his tight ends, and Mark Andrews doesn't have to
52:41share tight end targets with Isaiah Likely anymore. And also, Lamar Jackson is a, you know, he's 10 times the passer Jackson
52:47Dart is, at least at this stage of Dart's career.
52:50You're not wrong. It's just the splits without Likely weren't that great the past two seasons, even with Lamar.
52:56And just so, like, it wasn't the boost that it was peak Andrews.
52:59So, are you saying Mark Andrews across the board?
53:02Just to be clear, because I don't, I think you kind of, okay.
53:06PPR too. Okay. All right. You can take the guesswork out of your start-sit decisions with the Fantasy Pro's start-sit assistant.

53:20Get started at fantasypros.com slash start-sit. All right, guys.
53:23We'll wrap things up, as we will every week this season with our Touchdown Calls contest.
53:27Jake, who are you picking at running back? By the way, we're going to do running back, receiver, tight end.
53:33We're going to rotate who is doing which position each week.
53:36I fell on the sword of having to pick tight end, which is the hardest for this week one.
53:42Especially week one. Yes. So, Jake, kick us off with running back.
53:45I'll take Mark Andrews. I'm trying not to go super obvious, but it's week one, so I obviously also don't want to
53:52shoot myself in the foot directly at the gate.
53:54Although, watch, this will be the one because I wanted to say Gibbs, obviously.
53:58I wanted to say Jonathan Taylor even against the Ravens.
54:01But I'll dig a little bit deeper just because Keat Mitchell is somebody that I thought is a really good bench dash.
54:07Doesn't sound like he's 100% for week one. We all expect Arizona to be the worst teams in the league and that the Chargers should control this game.
54:16One of the bigger lines, spreads, I should say, on the slate.
54:19So, I'm going to take a Marion Hampton just because it's the Chargers and I do believe they're going to control this game.
54:26I also wanted to avoid Kenneth Walker or anybody in an earlier game.
54:30But, yeah, it's Hampton. Now, watch everybody. Henry, Barkley, Cook.
54:32Everybody's going to score except for him. Fitz, who are you picking?
54:36We fantasy analysts have been hyping up Parker Washington all offseason and it is time to put our money where our mouths are.
54:43Parker Washington finds the end zone against the Browns.
54:45I did go with Mark Andrews at tight end.
54:48I was looking at last year. Oh, I didn't see it.
54:51I wanted to be a surprise. Sorry. No, no, you're good.
54:54I picked Andrews last year for this. The Ravens scored like 40 points in Buffalo and Andrews had one catch for five yards and no touchdown.
55:02So, I'm saying that it's a different sort of week one for him this year.
55:06Also, I have made so much of betting against Erickson who will have more touchdowns this year between Zay Flowers and Andrews
55:12that I felt like my first opportunity to pick an Andrews touchdown.
55:16I kind of had to put my own money where my mouth is.
55:20So, I decided to go with Andrews. I'm not just going to pick him every time.
55:24It's week one. So, you know I have to do this, right?
55:28I have to take shots when I can finally get a shot at Fitz.
55:32Who was the quarterback in week one, Fitz, when Mark Andrews did that?
55:36Just out of curiosity. Just messing with you. Yeah.
55:38So, Marion Hampton, by the way, just to recap.
55:41Marion Hampton, Parker, Washington, Mark Andrews, the three touchdowns for our touchdown calls contest.
55:45Andrews is going to go for two touchdowns on 150 now that I did that.
55:49I'm hoping. If you think you can nail this week's touchdowns, join our free touchdown calls contest on Pick Sheet.
55:55Pick a running back, wide receiver, and tight end and a bonus flex with the flex being worth double.
