Dolphins QB, despite being described as struggling, looked like an unstoppable force against the Jets defense, which was built to stop the run but proved incapable of doing so, highlighting the Jets' defensive failure in the matchup.PositiveUsageOct 25, 2026
Malik Willis led the Dolphins offense effectively against a weak Jets defense, recording multiple passing touchdowns (including a connection to Caleb Douglas for an early 7-0 lead) and a rushing touchdown late in the second quarter that extended the Dolphins' lead to 21-7 at halftime.NegativeProjectionOct 24, 2026
Willis threw for 85 passing yards on a 52.5% completion percentage against the Vikings, which was surprisingly the closest the Dolphins came to a win. The source suggests the Dolphins' blueprint for this game involves using Ollie Gordon II's rushing attack to move the ball downfield and ice the Jets offense rather than relying on Willis's passing game.NegativeProjectionOct 24, 2026
Willis is getting a chance to be a full-time starter for the first time and has had mixed results due to lack of supporting cast; he's completed just 56 percent of his passes with two passing touchdowns, two rushing touchdowns and four interceptions through five games.
