Jefferson experienced a down 2025 season with career lows in efficiency despite staying over 1,000 receiving yards. Stacy Dales highlights his 12.5 yards per catch and just 2 receiving touchdowns as frustrating production, noting the key question for the Vikings is which QB (Kyler Murray or J.J. McCarthy) will have the best chemistry with Jefferson going forward.PositiveProjectionJul 9, 2026
Jefferson is ranked 8th overall as the wide receiver 5 in this year's class. He's the most obvious touchdown regression candidate ever, having had the lowest end-zone catch rate in football last year and being one of a handful of wide receivers with as many targets but only two or fewer touchdowns. Despite this, he's still probably the best or top-three talent at wide receiver. He gets a quarterback upgrade now with Kyler Murray, who helped DeAndre Hopkins be a wide receiver 1 for years in Arizona and is an upgrade from what Minnesota had last year.PositiveProjectionJun 23, 2026
Vikings WR had lowest end zone catch rate in 2025; most obvious touchdown regression candidate ever; eight times in NFL history a player had 140+ targets with 2 or fewer TDs; last was Trey McBride who rebounded with 11 TDs after QB change; JJ had career lows across board with only one game over 20 fantasy points; with Kyler Murray, Fernando Mendoza expects him back to elite top-six fantasy WR and first-round pick.
