Finally came alive with a bunch of touchdowns last week; a must-start if owned. Christian McCaffrey is already dealing with tightness or tenderness and was sidelined from practice, which fits a recurring 'one year on, one year off' injury pattern. Author expects CMC to decline significantly from his RB3 ranking, predicting he'll come off the board in the top 5-7 range but will fade due to historical running back regression patterns and his own injury-prone history.NegativeBustNo date
Author has zero confidence in drafting CMC, stating he's completely inconsistent with a 50-50 track record—busting 3 out of the past 6 years. He finished top-2 last year (416 fantasy points), but historically running backs rarely finish top-2 in consecutive years (last was Priest Holmes 2002-2003), making a decline imminent.
