0:00September football is over and as we turn the calendar to October it's time to take stock of your fantasy squads.
0:07Maybe you're 3-0 or 2-1, sitting pretty? Congratulations! Or maybe you're 0-3 or 1-2 and you barely eked out that win.
0:14It's not time to panic yet, but it is time to take an honest look at your teams.
0:21Figure out how to get back on track? Draft capital means nothing anymore.
0:25All that matters is scoring points. So the question you gotta ask yourself is are you getting the best possible results out of your team?
0:34Our coaching hats are on today as we get into the Empire.
0:38Hey! Happy MRI Tuesday everybody! How we doing? Good, good.
0:41Never too much, never too much. That's the theme of today after Luther Burden finally got some points.
0:47We pay homage to Luther Vandross. A thousand kisses from you is never too much, never too much.
0:54I like it, Matty. I like it. You do one for Khalif Raymond too since he's the number one receiver.
1:00He is! That's crazy. Unbelievable. Yep. Those who dove in early on that one got him for cheap and getting some points out of it.
1:09Sure thing. Gentlemen, obviously three weeks in the books here.
1:13Fantasy football is absolutely crazy right now and we're gonna try and cover everything because there's a lot to talk about after
1:20another wacky week three in fantasy football. Absolutely. Chris, why don't you just dive right in?
1:26What's on your mind? I mean, I think that through three weeks guys, I've never seen fantasy so top heavy.
1:32You know, where the first two rounds of players are just drastically killing everybody and that sounds like, oh, well, it's supposed to be.
1:41But yeah, I don't know if we've seen a time where the mid rounds to the later rounds, we're not getting much help through three weeks.
1:50It doesn't look like there's any help coming in sight.
1:53The running back position is absolute trash. You know, we keep chalking it up like, oh, it's one week.
2:00All right. Now it's two weeks. Now it's three weeks and we're not getting anything out of these, you know, RB two, three types after that.
2:09You know, I think it's a difference of right now.
2:12Could we be heading to another year of where every week our lineups are filled with three or four duds in it?
2:20The guys that, you know, don't show up that particular week give a five point game, a seven point game.
2:26Keep these scores low and that 115 to 130 range.
2:30I think the big difference through three weeks right now is if you have the monsters, the guys that are carrying you,
2:37the JSNs, the Jameer Gibbs, Ken Walkers and Derek Henrys, stuff like players like that, that are giving you the consistent points.
2:45And that the guys that are going to be in your lineup, they give you the 30 every week, the 25 plus.
2:53That's what's getting these teams that are in the top of the standings, the top of the overalls that are pumping out
3:00one seventies each week when they have two guys in their lineups that are given a 35 and a 32.
3:07And you get, you know, a good game from your quarterback and your defense and kicker don't give a one or two each.
3:15And they're given some points. That's what's getting, that's what's getting all these teams to one 71 75.
3:21Whereas all the other players that are in the bottom right now of the league around 115, 120, it's not that you don't have good players.
3:30It's just that there's so much inconsistency through three weeks across fantasy that you are living in that one 20.
3:37You can't get out of that one 20, one 25 range in fantasy when you've got four guys that are given less
3:44than 10 points in your lineup and you aren't the JSN owner or the Gibbs owner.
3:50That's giving you the 40 to cover up the holes in your lineup.
3:54That's what Gibbs and JSN are doing right now is they're covering up those one or two or three guys in your lineup that give you the five.
4:04The kid, oh, Kincaid only gave me five today.
4:07You know, this wide receiver is six. So I think that's what I'm seeing in fantasy.
4:13You mentioned the RB twos and the RB threes.
4:16And look, if you had the one or two pick, you got Gibbs or B John.
4:21That was like 95% or more. Everybody went that way.
4:25There was a couple of chases thrown in, but we're not talking enough about the other running backs that run at the
4:32end of the first round, beginning of the second round.
4:36The Barclays. I mean, A-chan is done now. That was injury related, but that team was not looking good.
4:42Who else is there? We, you know, Hampton's trajectory.
4:45And even Gentry, who had a fantastic week one versus Miami.
4:49That's, you know, pulled back. So everybody's talking about all the RB twos and threes.
4:54And the RB ones are getting a pass in that, you know, late first, early second.
5:00That's what I noticed. Matt, what's crazy. Because of that.
5:03Yeah, Matt, what's crazy about that is I think after week one, we talked and it said like, hey, listen, if you
5:11were in that eight to 12 range, that's where you wanted to draft.
5:15It's looking good. And then the last two weeks, it's like, whoa, like not at all.
5:21You know, the advantage that the Gibbs, Nijon, Jamar Chase, and JSN, and even Amon Rod, like that.
5:27You know, if you've got one of those top four or five picks right there, you're covering up a lot of holes
5:34and you're scoring some really good points through three weeks.
5:38You most likely came back with a, you know, maybe you landed on Alave, Derek Henry, Zay Flowers, guys like that.
5:45You know, it's, it is what it is right now through three weeks.
5:50All right. Nelson. What am I, what do you want to know?
5:54What's on your mind? What are you seeing? What do you want to know?
5:58Nelson's like a deer headlight. Nelson's ready for this show.
6:02Yeah, yeah. He's all ready to go. I think we're all still shell-shocked from what we saw in week three.
6:09We're trying to figure it all out. Nelson. I mean, I just, I just think that, you know, it's, it's like every
6:16week in the NFL, like there's guys that are going to be inconsistent.
6:21So one week we're feeling good about a certain team and a guy puts up 20 or whatever.
6:27And then the following week he's, he's putting up single digits or a zero.
6:32And, and we're now we're scratching our heads, trying to make sense of all of it.
6:37So I think we got to be able to take a lot of this stuff in stride.
6:43And listen, I, I feel like it's like Groundhog Day because this happens every year.
6:48And, and I always say it to myself. And then I try to remind people that it's a grind.
6:55Like fantasy football is not going to come easy.
6:58Like sometimes it, you know, things work out on a majority of your teams.
7:03But for the most part, for guys like us, where we're doing volume or whatever, we're going to have some clunkers.
7:10We're going to have teams that are, are just struggling.
7:13And, and we're trying to make sense of it.
7:16Things are not going right. It that's the, the advice that I can give is that it's a grind.
7:23If, if you came into the season thinking, you know, piece of cake, life's easy.
7:28I drafted the perfect team. All the players that I need are already on my roster.
7:34I don't need to grind waivers. I'm going to be injury free, no injuries to my teams.
7:39Yeah. Life is great, but that's just not the case.
7:43It's not reality. But it sure is nice when you get off to that nice start, you know, you're scoring points.
7:50You look like you have the right combination. You're, you're, you know, you're, you're healthy.
7:55Your team's not banged up, Nelson. But my question to you with, with saying that, and it's all true, everything you just
8:03said, but it's not a good feeling when you've had a bumpy three weeks.
8:08And now the injuries are kicking into your team.
8:11So now you, your, your players didn't get off to like a great start.
8:16There's a lot of inconsistency, which there will be across the board.
8:20It happens every year. And this is where the grind starts, right?
8:24You might be in eighth place, ninth place and points.
8:27You're one and two, whatever, like Dan said at the opening.
8:31But now what happens is it's one thing to be through three weeks and, and in that position and being like, all
8:39right, you know, listen, my guys are just, they haven't clicked yet.
8:43But when you're in that position and now you lose three or four guys and the injuries start piling up and now
8:50you got to go to your bench because you got two starters that are locked into your, your lineup out.
8:57And you go and look at your bench. And these are the guys that are terrible through three weeks.
9:04They're basically droppable. So now you stop, now you start saying to yourself, um, all right, well, the guys that I was depending on aren't working out.
9:13The guys that are on my bench aren't working out and I got to bring them into the lineup.
9:19Uh, it gets scary really fast here, you know?
9:23Yeah. Two things that I don't think I've talked about enough is one, you got to take after three weeks context.
9:30Like our empire, uh, primetime is in what eighth place, but we're 47 points away from the top.
9:36You know, so we're right there. The other thing is it's never stressed enough throughout the summer and stuff.
9:43How important it is making lineup calls and how difficult it is.
9:47If you actually drafted a good team and you have options, you know, that is, there's times you're putting, you're leaving points
9:54on the bench that, you know, you, you look back, you kick yourself.
9:59I mean, everybody can do it as a Monday morning quarterback, but it's tough when you have, you know, those choices.
10:06And that's something I think never gets the attention it should.
10:10For sure, Matt. For sure. I left a lot of points on my benches with tough starts at decisions.
10:16We all do it. I'm sure. You know? Yep.
10:19The important thing I think is to have a good process and just go through that process.
10:25A few days ago on Twitter, I kind of put out what my process is, you know, which is a lot of people seem to enjoy.
10:34It's, it, it's just a matter of, you know, be systematic about it.
10:39It doesn't need to take a long time. It's like, you know, I, I wrote out this process and it's like 10
10:46tweets long, but at the same time, you know, I can run through a team and in a minute or less, you
10:54know, and, and go through all these questions in my head and, and, and get these things sorted out.
11:00And a lot of times, you know, there, there might be one or two places where you're like, I don't know.
11:07I mean, you know, like I got, uh, you know, um, in a FFPC, I got, I had a lineup where I
11:15had George Kittle in the lineup and then I had, um, uh, Michael Wilson and, um, and Terry McCorn on my bench.
11:23You know, it's like, I, I, I gave that one a little bit of extra thought, but I just went buzzed through
11:30my lineup, wrote that one down, come back to it later.
11:34You know, those are, those are the ones that you want to kind of come back to and think about a little
11:41bit for, for the most part, you should be pretty quick.
11:45Hmm. Yeah. Matt, what you got buddy? I mean, what, what I've noticed, if I, if I got the question right, but
11:53what's standing out to me, I kind of did it, uh, the Texans running back situation and how after week one, David
12:00Montgomery had 23, you know, touches or he had 20 rushes and three targets.
12:05He's gotten 17 and four in the last two weeks.
12:09And I think Woody Marks is a really good pass catcher.
12:12And I, I thought they would really use him more pass catching wise over the last two weeks with Nonico, but except for week two, that hasn't happened.
12:22And just seeing how that backfield's evolved, the horrible coaching decisions.
12:26They made, he punted on 14 inches week two, they went for week three, didn't get it.
12:32So that's their, you know, the charges situation, how that backfield is evolving.
12:36It's, you know, it's concerning. Are the good. I see the, uh, running back takeovers in Arizona.
12:42Uh, it's still going to be a bit of a headache.
12:46You know, he's not going away out here. Uh, but Jeremiah love is a Supreme talent.
12:51And at some point we'll pull away or have the majority of it.
12:56I mean, he was in bell cow territory this weekend with 21 rushes and five targets.
13:01Uh, based on shooting, the first half, I mentioned that week one, it kind of went under the radar, how he's somebody we should be looking at.
13:10And he kind of pulled away in that first half.
13:14It was a little closer in the second half, but it was a blowout.
13:19Uh, so, you know, that's the running back thing.
13:22I'll stay on the Washington, uh, offense. I think that is something to buy.
13:27They have probably the two worst cornerbacks in the league or at least bottom five.
13:32They're going to be throwing. Mariota is a competent backup.
13:35McLaurin's got better numbers with him. Uh, again, Terry week two should have had like a 30 burger.
13:41We saw, uh, this past week he, uh, played well.
13:45And the other thing was, it was sad to see Adonai Mitchell not play.
13:50All my, all my, all my ladders got voided.
13:53But right before kickoff, I did take Sadiq. I put a honey on him to score the first touchdown at 21.
14:00So that was nice. And Sadiq has now emerged.
14:03I spent $230 after week one in fab at a prime time.
14:07The Greek told me I was crazy, but that's looking pretty good right now.
14:12And he was a target late. Sadiq, uh, you know, after, as we went into the season, we talked about it on
14:20this show, Matt, with Sadiq, uh, he was that guy that it was an obvious 18th, 19th, 20th round dart throw just to put on your team.
14:29And now look at us three weeks into the season.
14:32And if Adonai Mitchell is going to sit out a little bit here, and even if he isn't, this guy looks the
14:40part of someone that has to be on the field for the jets in this offense.
14:45Um, I loved what I saw out of the jets and Sadiq and Garrett Wilson, who I think is a comfortable top
14:5310 fantasy wide receiver all year long. Um, you know, wheels up Sadiq.
14:57You got to start going forward. Say that again.
15:00The big takeaway for me with the jets offense is Gino is getting the protection for the most part.
15:07I know at the end of the game, you know, but that was like, but he's getting the protection.
15:13That line, like you said, is very good. And like I said, I wasn't in on Sadiq until end of August, beginning of September.
15:22Uh, Ferguson has just gotten way too expensive. He missed all OTAs and camp, but he was back and he was going to be practicing.
15:30And he was a dart throw. I put him on like four of my seven OCs that final week and one of my two prime times.
15:39So hopefully, you know, that's a thing that's cemented itself going forward.
15:43And, uh, you know, shout out to, uh, Stevie, the Greek and Spiteri.
15:48I see them checking in, uh, in the chat over here from our sister show, uh, the fantasy sit down.
15:55I believe it's on Fridays. Uh, I did try to check in on them on, uh, Friday for a couple of years.
16:02Is the sit down a reference to how they pee?
16:06I'm just curious. I'm not sure. It might be Dan, but the, uh, the sit down show, uh, you know, I love these guys.
16:14I'm rooting for them. Uh, I checked in on Friday, a couple of minutes and then I had to run.
16:21Uh, I, I, um, I apologize. I dropped the viewership from double digits to single digits of that show.
16:27Uh, but like I said, I'm rooting for them, uh, big time.
16:31I did hear through the grapevine that they said our show is dry toast.
16:36Uh, I believe Steve, the Greek, uh, said that, and, uh, I'm going to go back.
16:42I'm going to watch the show because, uh, I'm sure I missed nothing but 45 minutes of Steve, the Greek just talking
16:49about his players and how many players shares he's got of each guy and how each of his teams are doing riveting, um, you know, radio, uh, podcasting.
16:59But, uh, we love those guys. We root for them and, uh, all the best to you guys.
17:05So take a listen to fantasy sit down. I think it's Fridays or something like that.
17:11Uh, our resident, uh, uh, our resident, uh, guy right here, Maddie Modica, uh, Janice Rossi, uh, over here, our, our whore
17:18in, uh, three, he goes and he tries to on Friday bail that show out with his knowledge.
17:24Uh, but if you want knowledge, actual football knowledge of a, of his show, you know, the brains of the franchise operation
17:32is right here on, uh, on our show, the fantasy empire.
17:36So why go and listen to Steve, the Greek when, with the brains of the operation that he has to go through.
17:43Nelson Seuss is right here. So Chris, you know what it is?
17:47Uh, so watching that show, it reminds me, everyone has like, you know, the uncle that's a little slow and, and he's a little weird or whatever.
17:57Like it reminds me of that. It reminds me of like three uncles.
18:01Like they're a little slow or whatever. You got to give them a pass.
18:06Don't take it too serious. Yeah. Feed them soup.
18:09There you go. Yeah. Yeah. In the corner and the holiday parties.
18:13Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's what I'm saying. He's rubbing his, his dog, uh, in each episode and the thing, they got tech
18:21issues out of the ass over there. It's, it's a disaster.
18:25Nelson. You're right. Yeah. And I mean, you know, Paul, this is like his life dream, right?
18:30Paul always wanted to get into entertainment. It's a make a wish program.
18:35100%. It's Terry's make a wish podcast. Yeah. You got to leave these guys alone.
18:40Yeah, we will. We will. I say nothing. I'm rooting for them.
18:44I'm rooting for them. I say nothing on either show.
18:48I just sit here and laugh. But I got to say, I'm excited for Friday.
18:53100%. I'm excited to watch you, Janice. Should be a good one.
18:57Should be a good one. I wear the Janice Rossi badge of pride.
19:01Oh, by the way, Matt, you look cool today.
19:04Matt, is your little name Judas? I have done nothing wrong.
19:08He's just trying to help out a fledgling podcast.
19:11I mean, you know. We're all men here. Everybody can stand up for themselves.
19:16Absolutely. Absolutely. So it's, it's, it's all good. All right.
19:20So getting, getting back to the, the actual point of the show, which I think is fantasy football, but I'm not sure.
19:27All right. Yeah. Yeah. It had to be said, Dan.
19:31I will say. I will say. I will say.
19:34I will say. The Baker wish line was fantastic.
19:37It was. That was, that was, that was great.
19:40That really was. All right. Back to fantasy, boys.
19:43Back to fantasy. I, you know, I know Nelson took some heat last night.
19:48I took some heat as well. Both of us talking about how good the Bears offense looked with Case Keenum, you know,
19:55and of course you get all these thin skinned Bears fans, you know, and they're all, oh, Caleb Williams is a much better quarterback.
20:04He had 59 points week one and, you know, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
20:09I think there, you know, a lot of people missing the point there.
20:13You know, yeah. Caleb Williams is the better quarterback.
20:16Everybody gets that. But the offense is much more on schedule with Case Keenum.
20:21And different game plan. I know, you know, Caleb is out there hunting big plays, all that kind of stuff with, with Keenum.
20:29He doesn't have the arm for that. He's, you know, playing a different game plan, but for your burden shares, for your
20:37Loveland shares, there's no doubt Case Keenum is better.
20:40I'm not wishing Case Keenum will start. Caleb Williams deserves the job.
20:44There's no quarterback controversy here, but just, you know, it would be nice if Caleb would sometimes just take the throw that's
20:51there instead of trying to turn it all into hero ball.
20:55But then, wasn't it last year when I said in the summer that Bayesian was said to be the better one to
21:03run this offense in the summer, you know, by all the beats and everybody.
21:07And I was ridiculed for the whole season. I was the Bayesian lover and all that.
21:13Just repeating facts. Look, nobody's saying Nelson never said Caleb is, uh, Keenum's better than Caleb.
21:18He worded it specifically. He runs the offense efficient.
21:22He looked like a golf clone last night. Would he get exposed after a week?
21:27I think if it's this week, Caleb don't play.
21:30I think Bayesian probably starts. I think they know.
21:33Can we talk about it? I was going to say, Matt, I don't know about that after last night, Matt.
21:40And that's going to be interesting. Um, and you know, Caleb's probably going to miss three or four weeks here.
21:47What you get in case Keenum is one of these coaches on the field, a smart veteran quarterback, like a Carson Wentz
21:54coming in for a Kyler Murray in Minnesota and moving the offense and flown.
21:59Now everybody's out. Carson Wentz is better than Kyler for the offense.
22:03Same thing's going to be said here with Keenum, but I'm bringing it back to fantasy here.
22:09Is Keenum a rel is Keen, uh, Keenum an ad, a pickup this week for the next three weeks, or are they
22:17going to go back to the guy they paid in badging for these next two, three, four weeks?
22:23Because one of these pieces, whoever is the starting quarterback is going to be a valuable quarterback to stream, especially in a,
22:30uh, a time where the Drake may owners are looking for answers.
22:34The Justin Herbert, uh, quarterbacks are looking for it.
22:37We just did this with Gino Smith this past week on the waiver wire and it came up aces, right?
22:4436. It's we take the veteran, you put them in a couple of weeks.
22:49It gets you through the Drake may Justin Herbert or whoever else you you're struggling with right now.
22:55Um, so to get that answer, right. Is the most important thing I think here, I'm a big Caleb Williams owner.
23:03Um, for whatever reason, Saturday night, uh, and Thursday, I was picking up, uh, badging.
23:08Uh, I had a couple of badging chairs, uh, just to back up Caleb.
23:13And then thinking that maybe he would start Saturday just to have it.
23:17I didn't have either one of them. Um, but going forward, I might have to drop badging to try and get case Keenum.
23:25So hopefully there's a little more clarity here, but I think one of them is startable.
23:30Whoever is the starting quarterback. Well, just real quick on the quarterback injuries and stuff that happened over the last week or so.
23:38I mean, there's some really good, everybody ran to get Jameis, which I really had no interest in, but there's Brissette is available.
23:46You got Gino, you got Mariota. If Daniels doesn't come back this week.
23:51So, I mean, there's guys there and even Sam Donald, he just knows to throw the damn ball to JSN and everybody
23:58knows it's coming, but nobody can stop it. So, you know, until that happens.
24:03So there is more options than you would think on the wire.
24:07Yeah. Hopefully we get some clarity out of, uh, Ben Johnson as to who he plans on starting.
24:13I mean, I, I would think that if Bajan is your QB two, um, you know, going into the season, that wouldn't
24:21change just because he got a concussion and you were kind of forced to start case because case was the guy, you
24:28know, taking all the snaps and practice and everything.
24:32I understand why there's any case out there. I am curious with that, Dan, because when I saw him clear concussion protocol, I was like, Oh, okay.
24:41They're going to go to him. And, and like, he, he knows the offense, right?
24:46So like he doesn't need that many first team reps.
24:49I almost wondered, Dan, it did Ben Johnson see Keenum in practice, getting these reps.
24:55It was like, he, he looks good. He looks good to me.
24:59Bajan clears concussion protocol. He says, no, I'm still going to go with Keenum.
25:04There's a possibility that that was the case. Yeah.
25:07I think there's a possibility that it was the case, but also I think you gotta, you gotta think about the fact
25:14that maybe he was planning on having a quick hook with Keenum.
25:18If it didn't work out, he was like, well, you know, we gave him the reps.
25:24We're going to let him start the game, but you know what?
25:28If things aren't working out, we're going to toss Bajan in.
25:32He said, he said in the press conference last night, that Saturday night when they went through the game plan, it was
25:39basically Keenum that did all the talking, had all the control and Bajan didn't clear on Saturday.
25:45He was cleared to practice. He hadn't cleared the protocol yet.
25:49So that's the answer right there is they went through practice all week long with Keenum being the, you know, the first team reps, everything.
25:57And then to flip it and not have, you know, at the last second on Saturday night and be like, all right,
26:05now that Bajan cleared, throw him into the mix, into the fire.
26:09So it was going to be Keenum the whole time.
26:13Okay. But now with a full week going in, do you go back to your regular backup or, you know?
26:19I think that's the tricky question, right? Because does he get Wally pipped?
26:24Because Keenum looked really good. The offense, the offense was really good.
26:28Yeah. I just worry as good as Keenum looked last night.
26:32And it was a couple of throws like they did mention that could have been pick six.
26:38I think after that, like one game, he probably gets exposed.
26:41That's my thing. Wild stat from yesterday, Matt, that you sent us that has to be talked about.
26:48The case Keenum versus Andy Dalton last night at one point when Dalton came in, shit his pants, threw an interception, ruined the game for the Eagles.
26:57But they faced each other in the 2007 Alamo Bowl.
27:00Keenum versus Andy Dalton when Houston played TCU. And now 20 years later on Monday Night Football.
27:06Absolutely amazing. That is wild. Keenum, I'm sure, will be one of these guys that will be five years from now an offensive coordinator in the NFL.
27:16He's one of those types. Yeah. And can we, before we get off this subject, can we talk about Caleb Williams sitting on the bench?
27:24Like, as somebody put it, and I won't say who, looking like a gay porn star.
27:30You know, you see most quarterbacks when they're, you know, when they're out like that, you know, they got the headset on.
27:37They're totally dialed into the game plan, everything else.
27:40And here's Caleb Williams just sitting there with his hoodie and his sunglasses.
27:45And I'm too cool for any of this. I called him, just, I'm stating the audience.
27:50I called him Jesse's way. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No doubt.
27:54No doubt. He's a different cat. Yeah. That would be one way to put it for sure.
27:59Okay. We're going to take a quick break here.
28:03We'll be right back. What does Player Profiler do best?
28:06Dynasty. We have the best Dynasty rankings there are.
28:09Oh, they have Titan Premium. Oh, it's Superflex. Oh, but also, Win Now mode versus Rebuild mode.
28:15The most sophisticated best rankings using Player Profiler data that exist in the world are available on playerprofiler.com.
28:21Big surprise. That's right. There's a trade analyzer to know, should I make this trade or not?
28:27And then there's a trade finder. There's Dynasty League Sync.
28:30There's an ADP tracker. All the tools Dynasty League players need.
28:34So get it now. It's $45, not per month, per year.
28:38So let's go start building super teams. Okay. Back we come.
28:42Chris, anything else on your mind? No. You know, that was all the things I'm thinking of right now.
28:48So, you know, great to see Drake London season start last Thursday night.
28:53That was great. Kyle Pitts owners still stuck at the starting gate.
28:57You know, but that Falcons offense, it's going to be a dream if you're the Bijon and Drake London owner every week.
29:04It's consolidated to two guys. They touch the ball 90% of the snaps.
29:09And, you know, it looked good. You know, that looked real good.
29:13And on the opposite side, that Green Bay team, it was what we thought it would be.
29:19Tucker Craft has got to come along a little more here in the offense.
29:24But when Jordan Love gets, you know, drops back, and if that offensive line can not get him killed, which is a
29:31big problem going forward, Matthew Golden, wide receiver two, Christian Watson, wide receiver one, you know, for fantasy each week going forward in this offense.
29:40Being that you mentioned Green Bay, I think we need to stay on this for a second and look at the running back position.
29:48I mean, I know Caleb didn't really have like a big night, but he just, if you look from the jet game,
29:56even the one pass he caught, he just seems to have so much more juice than Marshawn Lloyd.
30:02I mean, I dumped some Marshawn Lloyd shares on Saturday night.
30:06That was my next question. And I'm dumping the rest.
30:09I'm not saying Caleb's going to be anything great, but I think he's going to get more of an opportunity going forward.
30:17So do we all feel that Marshawn Lloyd is an automatic drop after what we've seen?
30:22Or are we holding Marshawn Lloyd on Wednesday night?
30:25I'll probably hold in some places, but yeah, he's definitely on that borderline of drop worthy.
30:31Yeah, it's tough. Well, here's the thing too, we have to mention.
30:35The judge has refused to seal the evidence. So I don't think what's his name is coming back, Jacobs, anytime soon, because
30:42the NFL does not want another Ray Rice incident.
30:45Yeah, but to me, Matt, it's not so much of a Josh Jacobs, oh, he's going to be back soon, whatever.
30:53It's a three-man backfield behind the worst offensive line in football.
30:56None of them are doing shit, and they're all three-points to five-point type running back.
31:02You never mind wanting a three-headed running back in a good offense.
31:06You don't want a three-headed running back in a shit situation.
31:10I agree. So, I mean, what are we hoping for when we put Marshawn Lloyd in our lineups going forward, if you're
31:17that desperate, is, you know, what to get like that jet game when he, you know, at least caught a touchdown out of the backfield.
31:26You know, it's, I have him in as a drop on a lot of my leagues for Wednesday night.
31:32I'll say that much, especially that we have a lot of options to pick up this week in fab finally somehow.
31:39If you look at these running backs that are available that are low-owned, most of them 50, you know, at least 60%
31:47less, you know, I think Olly Gordon's only like 9% only than the prime times.
31:52Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. The key is who you're dropping them for, for sure.
31:57There's a lot of shit at the end of, you know, people's running back rooms right now.
32:02A lot of RB, right or wrong, guys, you're looking at your teams.
32:07You got seven running backs on your team. How many are useful out of the seven?
32:12Well, especially when, you know, three of them are injured.
32:16Yeah. And then, yeah. And then you're putting guys like Hall and Travis Etienne to, you know, on your benches now.
32:23Devin Achan is, by the way, we wiped out Etienne, Achan, all of the above, whoever you want to say their names, everything.
32:31Both of them are gone in one week. So you want to be a lot of- That's what he gets for changing his name to Achan.
32:40Yeah. Five years ago is when he TN and all of a sudden now it's Achan.
32:45Yeah. But, so that's, that's one of the things on my mind right there was that Packers-Falcons game that, again, two weeks
32:53in a row with the Sunday being so shitty, the Thursday night game produced, you know, the most fantasy points carnival that you call it.
33:02But even though it was kind of an ugly game, at the end of it, London, huge numbers, Bijon, Golden, Watson, Jordan Love gave you a good game.
33:11You know? So it was a, it was a useful fantasy game.
33:15Yep. All right. No. Oh, go ahead. Just before we go off this topic, the other observation is, I mean, Taylor Shuck,
33:23a must start every week now, I have to assume.
33:26I mean, he's really catapulted himself. The guy's been like a quarterback six for like dating back to the end portion of last year.
33:35Imagine when he gets Jordan Tyson back, what this offense could be.
33:39You know, I hate the winner thing, but Tyler Shuck at the quarterback position and Brock Birdie, these guys were drafted outside the top 10 at the position.
33:48And these guys could absolutely cash in as top five fantasy quarterbacks this year.
33:53Yeah. Last week I said Brock Birdie was kind of a pretty boy, Baker Mayfield.
33:58Now Baker Mayfield wishes he could be Brock Birdie at this point.
34:02So, yep. Yeah. I mean, I think, I know Chris said last week Herbert was going to his benches.
34:09I had to play Herbert last week. It was versus that Bills defense and they should have had so many points.
34:16They were plus four in the turnovers. The Bills had 10 penalties.
34:20They ran down the field all game long. They either kicked the field goal or they turned it over inside the 20 or the 10 all game long.
34:30And now Herbert's on my bench this week. I can tell you that much facing Seattle.
34:35That's it. I think. Yeah. I said it last week that there was three quarterbacks that, that I have a decent amount
34:43of that are just not playing good. You can just see it.
34:47It was Drake May, Justin Herbert, Baker Mayfield. You know, those guys just.
34:52So I felt like it was, it was time to, you know, make a move, make sure that I have good quarterback,
34:59you know, a good number two behind those guys and start playing them because you just can't keep taking those kind of low scores from those guys.
35:08Week in, week out at some point. Sometimes we got to be patient with, with certain guys, but with like quarter, those
35:16quarterbacks, you got to start streaming and, and making it work.
35:20You, you got guys like Gino Smith and Kirk cousins that have come out of nowhere and, and they're, you know, they're, they look good.
35:28Like they're putting up points. So, you know, it's hard to argue with it.
35:33If they have good matchups, you got to play those.
35:37You got to play those guys. Nelson, don't you feel that the, you know, this week was the huge turning point, right?
35:44We all, we go in with our draft plans.
35:47We, we got our players and everything. The first week happens.
35:51You're like, ah, it's still preseason week. One is wacky, whatever.
35:55Two weeks. All right. You know, I'm a little concerned after two weeks, three weeks now is when we start saying, all
36:02right, we have three weeks of evidence here. This guy sucks.
36:06He's, he's struggling. This guy isn't going to work out.
36:10Now we can define our lineup starting in week four and say comfortably, okay, it's not happening for Drake may it's not happening for Justin Herbert.
36:18You know, just like this past week, like Matt said, I had to go back to Herbert that one more time.
36:26Well, now we have three weeks of this offense is broken right now.
36:30Just like Drake may just like, you know, some of these options I wrote down chargers, pats bucks, Texans.
36:37These offenses are broken right now. The one thing too, Chris, is that with Drake may, I was willing to give him
36:44a pass because of the defenses that he's faced to start the year.
36:49But my observation, something's wrong with him. Okay. And I'm talking like shoulder wise, like, like injury because his, he's got to
36:56me personally has one of the best arms in the NFL.
37:00And we saw it time and time again last year with like his deep balls, like the accuracy and, and, and everything.
37:08Something's off with him. And I, and I think there's something whether it's mentally, but injury wise also with Justin Herbert, he doesn't get a pass.
37:17Right. When you're talking about Herbert, you gotta, you gotta hold on that Arizona, Vegas, and now the bills.
37:23And like you said, you said, I got to go back to the well one more time with this bills.
37:30Come on. Like he, he's gotta do something. He's gotta start producing.
37:34And now he runs into four weeks of defenses that you don't want.
37:39He's not going to improve, uh, you know, and if he does, so be it, you know, at least bring them back off your bench.
37:47But I'll say this. I think you're going to see some people, some owners drop Drake may and Justin Herbert tomorrow night.
37:55I think you're going to see a couple of shares get dropped.
37:59And, uh, I don't know if we can ever remember a time where QB two off the board in fantasy and QB
38:06five or six people started dropping shares, um, after three weeks.
38:10Uh, here's my honest assessment though of Herbert. Like I've been watching, I watched that bills game and even the other games.
38:18He's made some bad throws. No doubt. I got to give him criticism here, but there's been key passes in these games that keep getting dropped.
38:27Gadsden. They, they could have pulled away in that big play.
38:30Uh, QJ first down. I mean, QJ's awfulness cannot be understated.
38:34That guy is just trash. I'm sorry. And you know, with may it's, what do you do now?
38:40Cause the next nine games look so ripe. We're going to hold off on that for later, but I'm looking at that
38:48schedule and as good as the bills are, the defensive line is good.
38:52The rest of that defense is trash and the charges proved it went up and down the field all game.
38:59Only scored 16, but moved up and down. So I mean, I, Drake may, I don't know what to do with this week.
39:07I'd have more confidence in Herbert somehow. I'd have more confidence in Herbert than may because based on the town patch, just don't have the weapons.
39:16I just don't have the talent there at the receiver position.
39:20You could throw your names out there with Dobbs and, and, uh, you know, Demario Douglas.
39:25They don't have the horses there right now to get through the AJ major, major blow.
39:31There is no difference. There is no big things that had, had a few big games.
39:36The point is, is may is he's playing like dog shit.
39:40And, you know, we're, we're calling him out on it and, you know, I've got him in a couple spots and he's
39:48going to be on my bench until he shows me he can play better.
39:53I mean, you know, I've, I've got other options at quarterback, you know, like, like Nelson.
39:58You know, after seeing the, you know, what happened on week one, I was a little bit alarmed after week two, I
40:06was very alarmed and I started, you know, making sure that I had somebody else that was startable.
40:12And I, I started Drake may in one spot last week.
40:16The rest of the time, you know, I, I did the same thing as, uh, as Nelson did.
40:22I started Gino Smith over him. I think quite a few of us did that.
40:27It, you know, you just can't be playing the guy when he's not playing well and you got to sit him on
40:35the bench until he, you know, maybe he does get better to your point.
40:39I agree with last week. That was Jacksonville. They have a very good defense.
40:44You're going to, you go into Buffalo and Buffalo is just CJ Stroud, uh, did, did it to them.
40:51I mean, every team is moving up and down the field on the bills.
40:55Right. So, I mean, it's like, what do you do?
40:59I mean, unless you have, I mean, I don't know.
41:02You gotta, you gotta sit him. You gotta sit him.
41:06You gotta sit him. You gotta sit him. You sit him.
41:10You sit him until they show you they can play better.
41:13I mean, how many times are you going to let him torpedo your team?
41:18Outside of fantasy, obviously I'm a Drake May fan, right?
41:22I'm a Patriots fan. Some, um, my observation, like I said, something's wrong.
41:26More than just, he's playing like crap. You're saying from the injury from last year, carried over probably.
41:32There's some, he does not have the same zip on the ball.
41:36Right. He, he's under throwing all his deep balls are, have been under thrown.
41:41Okay. That didn't happen last year. Last year he was on the money or he was a little ahead of the receiver.
41:49Never had an under throw. So some, something I just, I, I refuse to believe that he's regressed this much.
41:56Yeah. This, this badly. Okay. And, and, and I get the whole schedule thing and everything.
42:01He's faced some tough defenses, but there's other parts watching the game that tells me like there's something else going on with him.
42:09Yeah. Yeah. So I, I think you have to sit him.
42:13I, I made that decision last week, week three.
42:16I said, I sat him across the board and, and I streamed quarterback this week against Buffalo.
42:22I get Matt's point that the matchup is good to go back to it, but just like Justin Herbert, I, I, I
42:29can't, they're just not playing good right now. And I, I gotta see it.
42:34I, I, I know the sound, this is like a, like a rookie move, right.
42:39By me saying this, that I, I gotta see it to believe it or whatever.
42:44I gotta see it first, but I do. Well, Nelson, the opposite of that is what we always talk about.
42:51I mean, you're going to stick with a guy and let them sink you for the next four or five, six weeks.
42:59It's over. So you might as well do it the opposite way.
43:03I've switched my approach. I don't stick with guys no more.
43:07That's it. I'm getting rid of it. I'm jumping ahead of it.
43:11But once you show me that maybe you're turning in the corner, then I'll come back and bring you back into my
43:18lineup, but I'm not going to die with you for five, six, seven weeks.
43:23You know? No, but here's the contrarian view that I'll, I'll just present.
43:28You just got shit on for three weeks by this guy.
43:32And now he's got a really good matchup. And if you don't play him and he goes off and you miss that, he puts up 40 points.
43:41Look, this is a game. Like I said, the reason last week with the charges, the pay, the pay, the pay, the
43:48Patriots are in desperate mode here versus the bills.
43:51They need this game. And you're never as bad as you look the week before.
43:57And it's the NFL. We see it. You just look at survivor this year, look at survivor this year and what's happened and how many people are gone.
44:06So I, as a bills fan, I mean, I'm, I think they win that game.
44:11I think it's going to be a tough game.
44:14Matt, have you stuck with Drake may and your Drake may teams three weeks in a row?
44:20I started, uh, what's his name? Jordan Love over him last week.
44:24I don't have a lot of drinks. So you didn't even stick with him for these three weeks.
44:31No, no. That, in that, look, I thought the Packers were going to put up a lot of points last week.
44:38He was facing Jacksonville. My point is now this week, he has a really good matchup with his defense.
44:44That's what I'm trying to say here. He's moved to matchup dependent, I think.
44:49Yes. But I'm talking schedule now, but I'm saying it.
44:53But here's the thing. My philosophy is exactly what Matt is saying for your first few, for your top round picks, your first, second, third, fourth round picks.
45:02I believe that when you, you get the bad game, you got to stick with those guys through the bad games because
45:10when they put up the good games, now you're going to, it's the whipsaw effect.
45:15Okay. So like Colston Loveland, my advice to people is you're playing Colston Loveland.
45:20As soon as you start putting TJ Hawkinson and a Rondé Gadsden in the lineup for Loveland, you're getting too cute and it's going to backfire.
45:29You play those guys. But with quarterbacks in fantasy, I think you can pick up guys off the waiver wire and you can stream them.
45:37And it's a viable strategy while you sit a Drake May, a Justin Herbert, guys like that.
45:43I mean, the flip side for me is just, look, I picked up Gino.
45:48I started him in a couple of spots. But what if Gino puts up like a Jalen Hurts night last night and
45:56then you sat Drake May and even if the Bills are winning big, the Patriots aren't giving up this week and they're
46:03going to throw the ball and you can just, they got no linebacker secondary to Bills.
46:09So that's where I'm tuned. I'm just trying to say that.
46:12I think we got to go off of what we see, you know, Nelson was saying, you know, it's kind of a,
46:20you know, you don't want to play the, well, I got to see it before I can trust it.
46:26And I get that. But on the other hand, you know, you have to go by what you have already seen.
46:34What we've already seen from May, you know, leads me to believe that I don't want to trust him against Buffalo because
46:41of the fact that not only does he look like he doesn't have velocity on his throws, he looks off there, but
46:49he's making decisions that don't make sense to me, you know, that throw into the end zone at the end of the
46:56game week one made no sense to me. He's stepping up into the pocket right into sacks rather than standing back where
47:04he's got a good pocket and, you know, firing the ball and he just like runs himself right into a sack.
47:11You know, things like that, they bother me. And when I see quarterbacks who are doing that, that tells me that they
47:19are lost mentally and clearly he's got something going on with them physically.
47:23So why do I want to jump into that buzzsaw?
47:27I don't want to do it. Okay. So here's the key question.
47:31You're benching May. You're starting Gino over him. You're starting say Mariota, Brissett, all these guys are getting started over May, right?
47:38That's what I'm assuming. I'll look at my teams for week three.
47:42That's exactly who I started over May last week.
47:45I mean, but week three, he was at Jacksonville.
47:49That's a good defense, at least. I mean, I could make that argument.
47:53I'm just, the point is this week versus the Bills.
47:56That's what I'm trying to say. Like if you're super confident Gino's going to go off against the Bears.
48:03I understand a down game against Jacksonville. What I saw against Jacksonville for May, that I don't understand.
48:09Okay. I thought that was a discussion that needed time.
48:13Yeah, it was a good discussion. We like bouncing around the show sheet.
48:17We don't mind. But I do think we've about exhausted that topic.
48:21So we'll move on. Last thing I want to say.
48:25Can we just stop making excuses for guys like BTJ and Marvin Harrison Jr.?
48:29And, you know, it's okay to beat a top.
48:33You know, I don't care what cornerback you went up against.
48:36It's okay to beat a top cornerback. Devontae Adams going up against Pat Sertain.
48:41He beat him. You know, he had a great game against him.
48:45I don't care who BTJ and Marvin Harrison Jr.
48:48are going up against. They're looking terrible. Benchable. Droppable.
48:51Whatever you want to say. Okay. I agree with that.
48:55Yeah. No doubt. Those two are definitely bomb picks in round five and six.
49:00Yeah. I think after three weeks, sometimes we just got to, you know, it is what it is.
49:06It is the old saying, right? And those are just bad picks.
49:10Like if you have them on your teams, you made a bad pick.
49:14The Jags offense and the Cardinals offense really showed who they were this past week.
49:20Made things a lot more clear for anyone that had any doubt, in my opinion.
49:25You know, Michael Wilson is going to be an unbelievable pick.
49:29We've talked about in the last week or two about like that round six through eight at wide receiver.
49:35How nothing came of it other than like Golden and Josh Downs.
49:39That could be potential hits. Michael Wilson is going to headline that class.
49:44I think, you know, 17 targets. Him and Trey McBride are going to be the passing offense.
49:50Matt talked earlier about how Jeremiah Love took over this backfield.
49:53He's going to be a solid mid-round running back pick in round three and four when people are taking him.
50:00They showed their hands. Arizona. Marvin Harrison isn't playable anymore.
50:04In Jacksonville, it's clear Parker Washington is the top gun.
50:07Jacoby Myers is actually going to be another wide receiver.
50:11I think that is going to be a solid flex player going forward for fantasy teams.
50:16And Brian Thomas is the odd man out over there.
50:19Yeah, Josh Cameron. Yeah. There you go. He had the same amount of rats.
50:24But the one thing I think Marvin is totally done.
50:28And right now, BTJ looks like a terrible pick.
50:31But again, he's somebody I'm keeping on my bench because I think at some point, you know, this season turns up roses for Jacksonville.
50:39And again, there's always injuries. There's always this. And it's a really talented guy.
50:44So I'll drop these guys. And, you know, in the leagues we play in 20 rounds, these aren't guys that you drop.
50:51You know, these are guys that you just you put on your bench, you park them and you say, I'll see you down the road.
51:00Maybe if you could prove yourself or there's an injury, maybe there's an injury to one of these other guys in the offense.
51:08If Michael Wilson went down or Trey McBride went down.
51:11Now, how would you feel about Marvin Harrison putting him in your lineup as a flex player?
51:17You know, when they're in good matchups. You'd hate to drop guys like this.
51:22You don't drop guys like that. You don't drop guys like this.
51:26The only reason why you would see these guys available is dropping them.
51:31OK, so there's two things. You either you're so disgusted that you're just dropping them because you're you're upset with the production or lack thereof.
51:39OK, but you can't tell me that you look up and down your roster that there's guys with more upside than those players.
51:47You put them on the bench and then you try to find playable guys that can get you, you know, 10 to
51:5513 points or something like that in your starting lineup because these guys ain't getting the targets to be able to to produce that.
52:03But you don't go dropping them for some scrub because at the end of the day, like they they're still talented guys
52:10that, you know, all of a sudden there's a trade or whatever.
52:15And they become the number one on on someone else's roster.
52:18You know that that could backfire. Yeah. Listen, you guys like Brian Thomas, Marvin Harrison in the fifth round, you know, to
52:26be your wide receiver three or maybe in a heavy build, your wide receiver for what you hope to have is, you
52:33know, you look down at your your bench. You have maybe a Jordan Addison, a Jacoby Myers, a Malik Washington, who I'm
52:41high on now, again, going forward, someone that you could get through the this time and bring them into your lineup as
52:49guys that you drafted as your five or your six and and put them in your lineup.
52:54And that's when you luck out. If you drafted well, they come in, they hold it down for two, three weeks, maybe
53:02while Brian Thomas and Harrison go sit on the bench till they get their shit together.
53:07And that's why you take speculative picks also on guys like Khalif Raymond.
53:12I mean, you know, yeah, Khalif Raymond is 30 whatever years old.
53:16He's been around the league forever. He's never amounted to much.
53:20But you know what? Ben Johnson brought him over for a reason.
53:24You know, you better believe that I was speculatively at him, adding him for almost nothing after week one, because I was
53:32like, I don't know what just happened here, but I'm going to take some shots at Raymond wherever I can afford to
53:39jam him onto the end of my bench. And there's a couple of places where I am playing Raymond, did play Raymond
53:47this past week over Marvin Harrison Jr. And over BTJ.
53:50It's, you know, those are the kind of things you can, you got to do.
53:55You can't be too proud to pick up guys like that.
53:59You got to, you got to say, you know what?
54:02I understand how this could possibly make sense. It'll probably blow up in my face, but if it does, I didn't spend that much.
54:11And if it doesn't, I got a super good deal.
54:14So, like I'm trying to say here, me and Nelson did these live streams, and I was saying it, BTJ's got that rough first eight weeks.
54:23It is a rough first eight weeks. He was not your, it depends if you went running back heavy or you took tight ends and quarterbacks early.
54:32But a lot of cases, he's your number four.
54:35And he's a guy that you could stash there.
54:39Like you said, you're still drafting receivers. So, I think he has a chance.
54:43I'm not saying he will hit, but that was the kind of the thesis that this is a guy that could be the second half.
54:52Boom. Now, that could change with Josh Cameron getting 29% and, you know, catching a touchdown on a beautiful throw that T-Lo did.
55:00But we'll see. That's just my point there. I think there's still hope for him.
55:05Or worst case, maybe he gets traded. I think we're all saying there's still hope for these guys.
55:11But they, you know, right now you've got to bench them.
55:15And, you know, while we're on the subject, who else out of those top 100 players are you guys benching?
55:22Chris Godwin. Yeah. Godwin's another. Man, thinking of that fourth, fifth round range of receivers now that we just talked about, Harrison and Brian Thomas.
55:30Man, throw Godwin into the mix. I was really high on Godwin.
55:35I loved picking Godwin on my teams. I thought it would work out perfectly.
55:39Now, it's scary that, you know, so Baker's going to miss a month here.
55:44And on top of it, Jalen McMillan goes to IR and he's probably going to miss most of the season.
55:51You know, Godwin has all these things going for him in terms of like what you need.
55:57A book of the chemistry wasn't well with Mayfield.
56:00McMillan's gone. The defense isn't good where you could get in these matchups.
56:04I know Godwin had a long touchdown back, but now he's got this backup quarterback that I don't know much about here at all.
56:13And to me, Godwin is got to go to your bench and until Baker comes back.
56:18And maybe Godwin is a play for, you know, late October.
56:22But for these upcoming weeks, he's going to be on my bench.
56:26And before I flip it over to you guys, I think one of the worst picks, you know, it's looking like is Jadarian Price.
56:34He's going on my bench. You know, I don't have much of him, but the one or two shares I do is going straight to the bench.
56:44Jadarian Price. Yeah, what's his name? Jalon Daniels. We don't want to get confused with Jadon Daniels.
56:49But he does have a big arm. He might be better than Jadon Daniels.
56:54Yeah. I mean, he might be better than Baker.
56:57My 10-Hershers. My 10-Hershers. Pretty good chance he's more durable.
57:01Yeah. All right, Nelson. Anybody else in the top 100 you drafted that you're throwing on your bench?
57:07Yeah, I think I agree with Chris. I actually, with Godwin, I want to see a week.
57:13I'm not ready to say that I'm going to bench him until Baker gets back because with a rookie quarterback, sometimes they
57:20just lean on, you know, they focus middle of the field and, you know, Godwin operates over there quite a bit.
57:28So I could potentially see where he might actually unlock Godwin.
57:31It's kind of like the Keenum thing with Gurdon, right, that we saw last night.
57:37So you just – you never know. But I agree with Chris that, you know, this week it's probably a wait-and-see approach if you've got decent options.
57:46Man, I think there's like – it's ugly out there.
57:49I'd probably say like Stevenson is another one. Like the Patriots offense just not looking good.
57:55You've got Henderson. You know, way more – Are these are playable, Nelson?
57:59I think they are, but like – I think that seems where I have to.
58:04Listen. I think you've got to play this week.
58:08I think you do. Yeah. It's tough, but – Why don't they pass the ball to Trevion?
58:13I mean, they have no explosive players. It's just – it's maddening.
58:17The guy in college was known for doing these dynamic pass catches.
58:22Look, maybe you've got to sacrifice a little. He looked to – he just looked to improve a bit on the pass block.
58:30He made a couple of really beautiful blocks over the last couple of weeks.
58:34And they won't do it. It's like, you know, you're in a situation here.
58:39No, I agree. Another one that, you know, pains me to talk about because I have quite a bit of these guys.
58:47But Malik Neighbors and Isaiah Likely, I'm really concerned about.
58:50You know, a lot of people – come in.
58:53Go ahead. Come on in. But when they went to Winston, I know a lot of people were kind of like, oh, like, I think we're okay.
59:02Like, you know, dart out or whatever. Winston's a gunslinger or whatever.
59:07I didn't – okay, I wanted to give him a pass.
59:10He looks rusty, blah, blah, blah. He wasn't, you know, ready to – geared up to play or whatever.
59:17And now this week, you know, we were dealing with, you know, bad weather in New York, okay?
59:23You had high winds, you know, raining. Man, it's still not pretty is the problem.
59:28And I'm wondering if the guy is actually washed.
59:31He may be, Nelson. But Neighbors looked good himself.
59:34Yeah. If he is, we're in trouble, Chris. Because I can tell you right now – like, I have quite a bit of Malik Neighbors.
59:43I did not draft him for the first four weeks of the season.
59:48I drafted him for the second half of the season.
59:51And it was an expensive gamble, okay? He went in the second round of drafts.
59:56But my theory behind it was that he's going to get right.
60:00He's going to start feeling better. He'll get locked in by the second half of the season.
60:06Give me a healthy Malik Neighbors as a potential difference maker in the second half of the season.
60:12And in the shootout, what I didn't count on was this.
60:16Because the thought did cross my mind. Jackson Dart runs a lot.
60:20He can get hit, get hurt, okay? There's potential for that, just like last year.
60:25Ah, you know what? They have freaking Jameis Winston, gunslinger, baby.
60:29I still felt good about it because I was like, if the starting quarterback goes down for my top receiver that I
60:37took, I'm still feeling good with Winston. Right now, I'm not feeling good today.
60:41My overall outlook with the Giants here is I don't think Winston's going to be as bad as he's been.
60:48He's needed a couple weeks to shake the rust off.
60:52I kind of throw out last week's game versus Tennessee because it was a slop fest disaster here in New York.
60:59I will say this. Isaiah likely, the airs come out of that balloon after that.
61:04Week one when we all started talking, oh my God, we have, along with Kincaid, maybe a top five potential tight end in the later rounds.
61:13You can't feel good about that. But here's another thing, caveat, with the Giants here.
61:18They just lost Burns on defense. Their defense is falling apart already.
61:22Could we get a little fantasy carnival? And that's when Jameis shines.
61:26And if Jameis is going to shine and the defense is going to suck and we have a little bit of a
61:34fantasy carnival here, Neighbors is going to be that guy that gives us the numbers, I believe.
61:40So I'm maybe not as down on Neighbors as our second round pick, Nelson, as a lot of people probably should be
61:47after three weeks because it's been a disappointing pick, obviously.
61:51Malik Neighbors has three bad games. Week one was that, but the last two has been bad.
61:57So let's hope for that with Neighbors. He's got a good matchup the next coming weeks.
62:02He gets Arizona. He gets Washington. The schedule opens up a little bit more.
62:07They know they have to feed their big dog.
62:10And hopefully he starts getting his season going here in week four.
62:14I have a confession to me. It better happen with Winston because if not, I do not want J.J.
62:21McCarthy out there. That is not the answer. I'm the one guy that thinks this might work out with J.J.
62:28Oh, my God. I think he's got an arm.
62:31His problem is he doesn't know how to throw the ball not 100 miles an hour.
62:36He's got no touch. But this guy's getting a second chance.
62:40We've seen this happen before. He's getting a second chance.
62:43People forget how terrible Josh Allen was as a pass thrower the first two years.
62:49He's got the profile of a fantasy quarterback. I'm just going to say that.
62:53He can run. He's got a strong arm. It's not accurate.
62:57There's no touch. But in his starts, in his starts, I mean, how many 20 games?
63:03He's got over 20 points in a few of these games.
63:06I understand. You know, he sunk them last year.
63:10It seems like that was just a situation in Minnesota that had to be separated.
63:15And they gave away a fifth-round pick. It's a good trade for the Giants just to take a shot and see what
63:22they have with a guy that was a potential top 10.
63:26But so was Jamarcus Russell. You know, like sometimes it's a bad pick.
63:31I'll stick by it. McCarthy's a terrible quarterback. And if he gets in the starting lineup, for whatever reason, if Winston goes
63:38down or they bench Winston and bring McCarthy in, then my neighbor's shares are up in smoke.
63:44If they bench Winston. It didn't cost much. But I can tell you right now that, like, I am hoping that Winston
63:52works out and gets out of this funk and starts becoming the gunslinger of old.
63:57Because if they turn to McCarthy, I think we're toast.
64:00Is it Halloween at your house today, Nelson? It's not me.
64:04It's actually mine. No, it's actually mine. It's a damn door.
64:08It's probably Spiteri. How dare you call us the sister show?
64:11You've got some nerve. What's next? Yeah. All right.
64:15Yeah. J.J. McCarthy, I mean, you know, I think he's got all the physical tools.
64:20But if you can't listen to Kevin O'Connell and, you know, try to take some coaching.
64:25And that's basically why they ran him out of Minnesota was he was just not listening to the coaches.
64:32Wanted to do everything his own way. And, you know, he just got tired of it.
64:37I mean, you know, when you're willing to give up a quarterback to basically get a fifth round pick, which is a nothing pick.
64:45And mostly just to free up the roster spot and to free up the salary cap.
64:51Yeah. That's good. Good luck to the Giants on that one.
64:55Hope it works out. But, yeah, I hope Jameis doesn't go down.
64:59So let's move real quick into the overperforming offenses.
65:02Talk a little bit about who's overperforming. I think we should start off talking about the Raiders, Matt.
65:083-0, scoring a lot of points. What do you think?
65:12I want to see what happens this week. Big game.
65:15Kansas City. You know, that AFC West Classic. One of the first times in years I'm excited for a Raiders Chiefs game.
65:23We were being, like, force-fed this every, like, day after Thanksgiving or some prime time.
65:28You know, Christmas Day. So, look, I mean, Kirk Cousins, what, is, like, six touchdown passes.
65:33It's been insane. It's gone well. Brock Bowers is back.
65:37You know, this is the challenge, though. This is where, you know, the spectacularly.
65:41It's a real-life challenge, Matt. Matt, it's a real-life challenge.
65:45But for fantasy, the wheels are up and going to stay up in the Raiders' offense, Matt.
65:51That's the thing. I don't care about are the Raiders real?
65:55Are they going to beat the Chiefs? No, but fantasy-wise, this team's legit, and they're going to be there all year long offensively.
66:02And Brock Bowers is going to be the steal of the century in rounds four and five.
66:08The last three days of the fantasy drafts, we should have all been attacking that like it was the gift that keeps on giving.
66:17That's – it's going to be ridiculous. Yes, but like you said, Brock Bowers.
66:21I have a lot of Brock Bowers shares. I am rooting for him tremendously.
66:26But again, I still have some concerns on Bowers' health going forward.
66:30We've just seen this in the past two years.
66:33So, look, things do look on the up and up for the Raiders.
66:38I agree there. But now let's see as it progresses.
66:41We talk about schedule and stuff, and you see how things go.
66:45Schedule's going to get a lot different going forward.
66:49They do have an easy schedule, but I'm just saying that.
66:52I agree with you fantasy-wise. I drafted Jente eighth overall in August.
66:56So, I'm in on this team. I'm just saying we've got to be a little cautious too.
67:02Cousins was a great pickup last week too. I mean, you could throw them into your starting lineup everywhere.
67:09You know, no problem at all. Like, I had a lot of Baker Mayfield.
67:14I picked up Cousins and started them over Mayfield every single time.
67:18Last year, you needed CMC, Jonathan Taylor, and JSN to win at Fantasy.
67:22That was the clear advantage. This year, it's still going to be JSN again, and it's going to be Jameer Gibbs, and it's going to be Brock Bowers.
67:32Those are going to be the three teams, the three players that you're going to see at the top of everyone's teams
67:39at the overall standings and the players you need to win your league.
67:44That's my opinion. I might throw in Kenneth Walker there with you.
67:48He might be one of those guys. There's a few others.
67:52Dijon, you know. There's a few. Yeah, but I think Kenneth Walker's safe for his question.
67:57I don't know. Monroe looks decent to me. You might need him.
68:01Yeah. All right. How about the Panthers? Another offense that's looked real good through the first three weeks.
68:08Are they a product of the schedule, guys? Or are they something you can believe in?
68:13I didn't think they looked all that great against Cleveland this past weekend.
68:18They didn't? Yeah, they didn't. Listen, it's the NFL.
68:21Some teams, yeah, they're pushovers or whatever, but going to Cleveland, I didn't think it was like a slam dunk, easy matchup for Carolina to pull off.
68:30Especially on the road. Yeah, 100%. It's the NFL.
68:33The saying where they just go there and blow them out.
68:37I figured that Cleveland would give them a tough fight, and they did.
68:41But with Bryce Young, what I'm trying to figure out is in a game where they were trailing, I expected more from
68:49Tett McMillan, and I haven't had a chance to re-watch that game.
68:53I was paying attention, but I don't know. I'm expecting more targets from McMillan.
68:58Treat them like a one. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. And it was like, you got this Bryce Termaine kid getting targets.
69:05Waller. As soon as Coker went out, Waller started getting more of the shorter routes and stuff.
69:10I don't know if Cleveland, again, I got to watch it a little more carefully to see if they were bracketing McMillan or what was going on.
69:20They were like, we're just going to take him away or whatever, but that was another observation of mine because I do
69:27have a decent amount of McMillan, and I'm like, okay, last week looked good.
69:32Everything's back on schedule. Let's continue. And then this past week, I'm like, I don't know what the heck happened.
69:39Stay on that game real quick. There's one guy we overlooked this whole show.
69:44I think we have to mention his name. And Deshaun Watson has 25 points or more in the last two games.
69:51We talked about all the other backups. I mean, I'm just saying, he's got some weapons now.
69:57I know Vaccaro's like the Cleveland offense. He's got two good rookies.
70:01Fanning now has emerged back to being that weapon of mass destruction.
70:05So, you know, we just didn't talk about him.
70:08It was great to see Fanning have that type of game and hopefully emerge now as a weekly top target in the game.
70:16You know, everybody was drafting Casey Concepcion, you know, to be that guy.
70:21It looks like he's third in the pack. I mean, he's running all the routes, everything.
70:26Maybe it clicks at some point. So throw your hands up in the air between him and Boston each week.
70:33But Harold Fanning hopefully, you know, puts a lot of these games together.
70:37I was starting to get worried about Fanning after the first couple of weeks.
70:42But if Watson and him are going to have that chemistry and everything, then, you know, the Fanning owners feel a lot
70:50better about themselves and what their lineups look like instead of looking for help at tight end position and maybe having a
70:57little bit of a grenade on their hands. Now they have a guy that after this week, they feel like, all right,
71:05I'm going to get my money's worth out of a guy I took in the top hundred at tight end in the top ten overall at the position.
71:15For the real-life season with Browns, is there anything worse that could possibly happen than Deshaun Watson giving them just enough hope
71:22that they try to keep him a starting quarterback next year?
71:26I mean, they've got a ton of draft capital saved up.
71:30They've got to go into the quarterback market. Yeah, but what about this year?
71:34Like, what about, I mean, he's put up, he's actually looked pretty good the last two weeks.
71:40Yeah, fantasy-wise, but you're going to start him against Pittsburgh?
71:44My point is, we talked about all these other backup quarterbacks.
71:47He's got weapons. Like, Casey Concepcion seems to have eaten up all the Jerry Judys.
71:53So that's coming, Casey Concepcion. You know, we know Boston, you know, he's looked good.
71:58So if this guy's got these weapons and if Jenkins could run, is he somebody?
72:03Matt, I think it's a matter of when you talk about Watson and all these other quarterbacks that are on waivers sitting
72:11there, you know, there's four to six of them.
72:14And, you know, these guys aren't every week plugging, put in your lineup and forget about them.
72:19They're not that good. But it's just like Geno where, you know what, you see down the schedule, hey, next week I got a tough situation here.
72:29Let me go get Watson. He's playing, you know, Dallas.
72:32Or he's playing the Dallas secondary. He's playing the Bears.
72:36He's playing the Lions. You know, they're good enough to pick them up, put them in and get 25, 30 points.
72:43So that was my point. Is he is he somebody you're considering to pick up?
72:48Because, I mean, we all had I had Watson done after week two before before the second week started.
72:55I'm like, he's never starting a game in Cleveland.
72:58They gave him the two road games and he's gone.
73:01And now it's a different different scenario. Yeah. Yeah.
73:04I think you got to look at it differently.
73:07He's playing good enough that these rookie receivers are relevant and and Fannin is now back to being relevant.
73:14So, yeah, I think I think Matt makes a good point that, you know, the court.
73:19Listen, when you have quarterbacks that are injured, there's a ton of them that are injured already.
73:25And you have quarterbacks that are struggling that you don't have confidence in.
73:30And you got to stream guys like this. Kirk Cousins, Geno Smith, Deshaun Watson.
73:34They're they're putting up solid production for fantasy. I'm looking forward to Matt debating the Cleveland quarterback with with the Greek on Friday.
73:42Yeah. We're going to talk about massage parlors. All right.
73:46How about the Saints? We kind of talked about them already, but you got you guys fully bought into the Saints offense here.
73:54Any concerns about how about Noah? Oh, we can only only see one side of the field.
73:59Any of that? How how good offense? Kellen Moore offense.
74:03Like I, I, I was bought in before the season started.
74:07It made sense. Coaches. You got, you know, that's the new way.
74:11Buy into these offensive geniuses. Kellen Moore, Kubiak. Look what they're doing.
74:15They're taking teams that have been, you know, perennial dead offenses in the past years.
74:20And they have them humming like the Raiders and the Saints here.
74:24So I'm buying in big time on both these offenses, quarterbacks, everything included.
74:29You know, the Saints are, Saints are a wagon.
74:32But how often is it you're getting these two tight ends that are just becoming like super weapons in the red zone?
74:39You know, maybe you don't want them that much involved, you know, if you have the receivers.
74:45But the other guy is Kendrick Miller. Can he stay healthy?
74:49I don't know. But when he plays and he's on the field, he usually looks good.
74:54And opportunity in life is almost always everything. And that's coming.
74:58Yeah. All right. Last one I want to cover for sure.
75:02The Jets have looked pretty solid on offense. What do you guys think?
75:06Are the Jets going to continue to be a good source of fantasy points?
75:11Or is it just be glad for what you got?
75:15You know, the first three weeks, what I saw was exactly what I was hoping for, that the offense was going to
75:22be all Garrett Wilson and Brees Hall consolidated, you know, kind of like a Falcons, you know, where, you know, they're very similar.
75:30Like Brees Hall could have been Bijan, Garrett Wilson, Drake London, and not much else.
75:35But Sadiq is taking the next step here. It looks like he's going to be the number two in this offense going forward.
75:43But, you know, as soon as I got really excited watching that game versus the Lions this past week, we lose Brees Hall now for a few weeks.
75:53I'm not a Braylon Allen guy. So, you know, maybe him and Isaiah Davis be, you know, a 60-40 tandem going forward here.
76:01But the only one to be excited about is Garrett Wilson.
76:05I think he's just going to get peppered on a weekly basis.
76:09Their schedule was a dream. That was another thing I was loving.
76:13You know, you have the Lions. Then you have the Bears.
76:17Then you have the Browns, I think. These three-week stretch here.
76:20And their schedule throughout the season is really nice with some great matchups.
76:25So hopefully Brees Hall is only out like two weeks.
76:28And then, you know, it could go right back to having him in your fantasy lineups.
76:34I see it a little different because you left that Adonai Mitchell who didn't play close to the finger.
76:40Yeah, but I don't know if he's going to be there.
76:44If he couldn't go on Sunday, is he dealing with a broken finger?
76:49Like, do you really want a receiver that struggles with drops coming into games with a broken finger?
76:55It's not like it's going to be healed in a week.
76:59This is something that was obviously bad enough where he couldn't catch the ball.
77:03You know? I mean, I don't know. They said it wasn't a broken finger, so I'm going to go by that.
77:11But if he's out, even if he's out this week, I'm talking the rest of the season.
77:16As I mentioned earlier in the show, if Geno has protection, I feel confident in this offense because Geno is good enough to get it done.
77:25Now you got Garrett Wilson. Just say Adonai's healthy.
77:28You got him. You got Sadiq. You got three options on offense.
77:33As you mentioned, they're scheduled for the most part.
77:36Last place, very good schedule. So, yeah, I'm in on this offense.
77:40And if it's a Braille, I'd rather have Brees, without a doubt, from my shares alone.
77:45But I think he's better than the other two.
77:48But a Braille and Allen-Isaiah Davis combination, I think, could be good enough in the running back position for them, considering the
77:56options they have when they throw it. Yeah, Geno Smith, best quarterback in the New York City area.
78:02Let that one sink in. Hey, he's better than DeVito having him.
78:06You know, we had to deal with this guy for like years.
78:10The year is 2026, and the New York quarterbacks are Jameis Winston and Geno Smith.
78:15It's like that TCU game. All right, let's move to the other side.
78:20Some underperforming offenses. I think the operative question is, is it going to continue?
78:25And what is it going to take to break them out of it?
78:29I'll start off with the Vikings. I think that's really obvious.
78:33I mean, the quarterback position is a big, giant, sucking black hole at this point.
78:38Kyler Murray has looked like ass for many games before he came to the Vikings.
78:43He does not look any better in a Vikings uniform.
78:47Carson Wentz, same deal. I honestly might hold out more hope for Carson Wentz than Kyler Murray at this point.
78:54But they just traded away their third string quarterback, and their first two quarterbacks are no good at all.
79:00I'm struggling to see how this offense is ever going to get untracked with those two guys playing quarterback.
79:07Tell me I'm wrong here, guys, but I just don't see it.
79:11I think much... Sorry, Matt. Did you want to go?
79:14No, no, no. You got it. You got it.
79:17I think much like Case Keenum in the Ben Johnson offense, I think for O'Connell, he was honestly, in hindsight now, looking
79:25back, he was better off just signing Darnold and keeping him.
79:29And I am going to venture to guess that this team would be a contender and the offense would have zero issues right now with Darnold at quarterback.
79:38Right. But what can they do at this point?
79:41I mean, how much longer can Aaron Jones hold up?
79:45They did great for quarterback, I think. I think that's the issue is that if you can bring in a guy who
79:52can run the offense, because the O'Connell offense has proven over the years that it's very good, okay, when you have the right leader at quarterback.
80:01And that's the issue right now that O'Connell's running into, is if you can get somebody that can keep the offense on schedule, timing, that's the problem.
80:11And that's why I was saying with Kyler, I'm not 100% sold that he's going to be able to run this offense.
80:18The answer might be out there. I don't know, like Mack Jones or someone like that.
80:24It's going to take a veteran guy that's just kind of whatever, average.
80:28You get them cheap and they can learn and run the offense.
80:32That they're intelligent in between the years and they can pick up the offense real quick.
80:38That's the only thing that I can come up with.
80:41I don't really have any other answers for Minnesota this year.
80:45Yeah, I fully agree. To Scott's question in the chat, am I down on Jefferson for the rest of the season?
80:52Yeah, I think, you know, I don't see how he's going to pay off his draft cost with the quarterbacking that he's got right now.
81:01Can he kind of hold okay for you, you know, and make it so it's not just a total disaster?
81:08I think so. But other than that, yeah, I think the idea of Justin Jefferson re-ascending to elite status is pretty much
81:15dead until he gets better quarterback play. I think they need a running game as well.
81:21I mean, look, what Aaron Jones is trying to do these last two weeks, he's got like 40 carries.
81:27That's just not his bag anymore. I mean, he's like 33 years old.
81:32So, I mean, look, there's a lot of concerns there.
81:35But, I mean, I'm not going to hold. I'm going to disagree.
81:39I'm not going to say Jefferson's done for the year or even Madison.
81:44I'm going to disagree with Dan on that one with the, you know, Jefferson won't be elite until they get rid of Kyle.
81:52I mean, we saw in week one, Jefferson came out and he went right back to elite status.
81:58Week two, solid, you know, and then, you know, caught two balls for 32 yards right off the bat and then got hurt.
82:06So, Kyler was feeding him and then he had to adjust to life without Justin Jefferson.
82:11And I don't know if that offense is any good with no run game and just Jordan Addison really in the pass game for three quarters versus Tampa.
82:21So, I think the game would have looked a lot different and Jefferson was on his way to putting up some big
82:28numbers versus Tampa, but he went down early. So, I think the jury's still out on Kyler and...
82:35I hope you're right. I think we'll see. Well, let me ask you a question.
82:40Would you prefer Wentz or Kyler? Because, I mean...
82:43Kyler. Kyler. I'll take Kyler still. But I think it's a situation where they both know the mission.
82:49They both know the mission is get the ball to Justin Jefferson and Kevin O'Connell will make that happen.
82:56Will there be some balls batted down, you know, each week with Kyler behind center?
83:01Yeah. But if he goes down and Wentz is my guy, then I'm fine with that too because he's a veteran just
83:08like we saw Case Keenum last night. But that's what I was going to say.
83:13Wentz kind of seems like the Bayesian Keenum of the Bears running that offense for the Vikings, which, you know, that's all.
83:21But I don't know. All right. How about the Texans?
83:24I mean, to me, the Texans, it comes down to they've got a terrible offensive line and they've got nobody threatening, you know, down the field.
83:33So teams are just stacking the line of scrimmage and just daring them to beat them with short throws or with the running game.
83:42And it's just not happening. Shout out to C.J.
83:45Stroud. Yeah. The offensive coordinator, he called them out.
83:48He said, we're way too conservative. That's what they seem to want to do.
83:53I mean, what's his name? Isaiah Hutchinson? Did he break his collarbone in that game?
83:58You know, I just don't know why they don't get Jalen O'Reilly involved when you don't have no Nico or Woody Marks more in the passing game.
84:07I mean, you talk about challenging them, you know, defenses deep.
84:11Like, that's why you traded for Keyshawn Booty. Like, that's his bread and butter.
84:16That's what he was very good at, you know, is downfield.
84:19And you're sitting there and like, you're watching the game and you're like, what is this offense?
84:25Like, what are they doing? And they're not even playing the guy.
84:29Like, I don't get it. It's just a – I think it's not – I think you can make it work with the players they have.
84:38I think it's just bad coaching. Well, the last two weeks has been Isaiah Hutch – or Xavier Hutchinson and what's the other guy's name?
84:47Jared Wayne. Those have been the guys they've been using.
84:50So, I don't know. Yeah. That's – My bet on Houston over 9.5 wins is not looking real good right now, guys.
84:58Looks as good as my Chargers over 9.5 then.
85:01Yeah, you and me both. We'll be crying about it at the end of the season for sure.
85:07And speaking of the Chargers, Chris, I mean, what the hell is wrong with the Chargers?
85:13Is this – is it McDaniels? Is it the offensive line?
85:16Is it Herbert? You know, we kind of – we talked about it a little bit earlier, but what do you see as a problem?
85:25So, the offensive line isn't as good as I thought it was going to be.
85:30I thought they were – you know, with them getting some guys back this year off injury, all the struggling, there's no lanes.
85:38Maybe people are right when they say that the run scheme that McDaniels brought in doesn't fit Omari and Hampton and fits Keaton Mitchell better.
85:47However, I'm a big Omari and Hampton owner, and I'm very, very worried.
85:51I think that I'm going to be pretty wrong on him being a late first-round pick smash at running back.
85:58Week one was promising. Since then, the offense and him have been discouraging.
86:03Herbert has no touch on his passes, doesn't have the time behind the line.
86:07Quentin Johnston is a sieve, and, you know, they don't have much.
86:11They lost their tight end room. Arande Gats, and I don't know what happened to this guy.
86:17He's a zero, and it's really just, you know, if you're a Ladd McConkie owner for the rest of this season in
86:25this offense, you're just hoping that he's doing it on volume, and they're playing from behind, and Ladd McConkie's going to be
86:32a guy that sees 10 targets a week and puts together some good numbers.
86:37So the offense in a whole, I really had high hopes for.
86:41I know a lot of us did, but three weeks in, it's all arrows pointing down, and it looks like a disaster.
86:49And like we said earlier, the schedule just is brutal now.
86:53You know, the first three weeks were great schedule-wise, and they bombed then, and now the schedule gets really tough, and we're
87:00hoping for a turnaround in all aspects of it.
87:03So abort mission is my game plan. Yeah, I'm going to just hope this line works out.
87:09It's always darkest before the dawn, because, you know, it's really, there's no hope.
87:14Oh, look, Seattle, I'm pretty much benching everybody, maybe like Ladd if I have to.
87:19But yeah, it's ugly, but I think it has to get better at some point.
87:24There's too much talent on this offense. And Joe Ault is a major concern, because I consider him to be very good,
87:32but he doesn't look very good the last couple weeks.
87:35Yeah. Are we concerned about Mitchell playing the same amount of snaps as Hampton?
87:40So, Nelson, here's the thing. Here's the thing. Yeah, I mean, when you go into this year, at least your mind frame
87:48is the Chargers are going to be one of the best teams, one of the best offense, scoring a lot of points,
87:55which means when you think it out, you know, second half, Chargers up 10, 14, 17 points, more carries for Hampton, you know, on and on.
88:04And you don't have to worry about a Keaton Mitchell, you know, killing the clock out or getting all those, you know, eight to 10 extra carries.
88:13Now, the whole narrative is switched. And now they're playing from behind most games.
88:18That's when you need a Keaton Mitchell more than an Amari and Hampton.
88:23So, you know, the arrow is pointing up for Keaton Mitchell in this offense.
88:28He'd be the one guy that I think you can now take from your bench and maybe slip him in as your RB2 if you're a little desperate.
88:37My big concern after three weeks with Hampton, and I do like Hampton a lot, is that he only has three targets after three weeks.
88:46And that was something that was becoming, especially late in the season last year, he was becoming that guy.
88:52But again, I just, I got to believe, you know, I think we're in for another rough week, but I got to
89:00believe this is just too much talent there and it gets better.
89:04Yeah, I would agree with that. But I think it's got to get better than what it's been so far.
89:11It's just tough. Mike McDaniel might not be the genius that we thought he was, though, because Chris was earlier talking about,
89:18hey, all you got to do is follow the offensive geniuses.
89:22And for the most part, that's worked out. But this is that one glaring exception where it has not worked out very well at all.
89:31So hopefully they can get things turned around. Last team, the Broncos started off real slow weeks one and two.
89:38And then for about the first, you know, at least the first half on Sunday night before they started turning it on
89:45a little bit and finally getting their offense moving.
89:48You guys concerned about the Broncos offense? Is this going to come together or no?
89:53I think you got a new offensive coordinator that obviously is talented because Peyton didn't want to let him go and gave
90:01up the play calling to keep him. Uh, I think it's, I'm going to, I'm going to chalk it up to there's too much talent on this team.
90:11Um, the offensive line is very good. So that's not a necessarily a problem.
90:15I think it's too much talent for this team to fail.
90:19So if Davis Webb doesn't get it into a rhythm, I could see at some point Peyton just taking over the play calling.
90:27So although it's hasn't been ideal to, to start the season, um, I'm, I'm seeing glimpses that I think the offense is going to be okay.
90:36It's, it's one of my offenses that I'm least worried about.
90:40I mean, I look at it as in the running back position.
90:44Um, I have very little hope on Dobbins. I think Coleman's eventually the guy when he's getting, he's getting cut Wednesday.
90:51So it's the guy now Dobbins getting cut people caught him last week.
90:56And I was like, Whoa, like you don't see, you know, a player like that get caught.
91:02Not that he's like anything world, but, but you see something.
91:05The bright side. If he didn't get popped in that game, he was looking at the only fantasy relevant running back that
91:13you can start with some type of confidence because he's going to catch passes.
91:18But when you look at Dobbins and I, I've got, I've got some Dobbins, uh, shares.
91:23I do too. Like you look at it. He doesn't catch passes.
91:27Okay. Um, he gets a few carries. Doesn't look all that great while he's getting it.
91:33So I don't see his role changing at all.
91:36So when I look at it and I say, okay, I'm going to drop Dobbins, not even keep him on the bench.
91:43Why is that? It's because he's already in the role that you, that you want.
91:49Like when you're picking up like a high end handcuffed running back, it's because of the what if, what, what if he gets an opportunity?
91:57What's it going to look like? Is he going to be able to produce Dobbins has shown me already that he's in
92:05that role and it doesn't look good to me.
92:08So like, to me, I'm surprised you're dropping him though, Nelson.
92:12I mean, I understand all the points of dropping him, but with the way the landscape of running backs is, I mean,
92:19would you rather have like a, you know, Claiborne or Tyrone Tracy as your RB six or seven at the end of
92:27your bench instead of a guy that you know is in a starting lineup and a good offense.
92:33He's not doing much. He doesn't look good. I agree on all those points.
92:38Add in the fact that Jonah Coleman surprisingly went to IR and it's just a two man backfield.
92:44I mean, I can't do it just on the fact that look, these offenses look terrible except for the two second halves of the past two weeks.
92:53They've looked terrible the first half of the last two weeks and they got a lot of help for the refs.
93:00I mean, it's like Coleman Harvey. Yeah, I want them.
93:04Waddell. It's going to have his games. I mean, I am very bullish on.
93:09I think they need to throw the ball to Morris.
93:12Pat Bryant. I did. Bo Nix is the typical suction real life, but it's good for fantasy quarterback.
93:18He's not good. He does suck in real life.
93:21Real quick. Jonah Coleman was dropped in a couple of my prime times two weeks ago, and I thought he was a huge ad last Wednesday.
93:30And somebody won him $464 and I was the runner up at like four and change because I was trying to get some running back help.
93:39Dodged that bullet, guys. But man, how cruel of a fantasy game is it that the Jonah Coleman owners that thought they
93:47were getting a big ad the next day, he gets put on IR.
93:51So that was a tough one. I still think I want Jonah Coleman, though.
93:56I think he's going to. Yeah, I mean, you're going to have to wait, though, until like November now, though, Matt.
94:03Yeah, that's what I'm, you know. For weeks, I mean, that does suck.
94:08Yeah, there's some situations out there that if you're needing an RB2 on your team and you need to get some type
94:15of production and you've got all these injured guys or guys that are just not getting it done, like Dobbins, Marshawn Lloyd, like you got to.
94:24What a hoax that was, though, guys. We have to go back to Lloyd, but oh, my God, were we all excited about getting Lloyd?
94:33And I have him in the 100K Legacy League and I thought I had the steel pick of the draft and like, oh, my God, I have.
94:42It makes sense. Like, it made sense. I know a lot of people now in hindsight can say, ha ha, like Marshawn Lloyd is who he is.
94:51You guys fell for it or whatever. But like, at the end of the day, with Jacobs going on the exempt list, Lloyd is a talented player.
95:01He can catch the ball out of the backfield.
95:04They had a void. It made sense to me of taking the gamble and drafting it and seeing what we get out of it.
95:12And I think part of it, too, is that the offensive line is banged up for the Packers and they just so they can't run the ball.
95:21I think that's just that's part of it also.
95:24What's the line? The greatest trick the devil ever played?
95:28Terrible. Terrible. But there's been a lot of them.
95:31Right down the line. 100 percent. Every year. All right.
95:34Anything else, guys? We've been at it for an hour and a half here.
95:39That's all I had. I guess the thing I'll end off with is Friday morning should be fun.
95:45So tune in. There you go. Janice Ross plugging her.
95:49You guys are riled up. I kiddin'. I looked at my phone for a second.
95:54It was like a mess. Spatari's killing me on the.
95:57Yeah. Spatari's killing me in the text. Pauly Smollett.
96:01All right. All right. Yeah. Dan, take us out.
