0:051.9. Please excuse my background. It's not going to be as professional as it normally is, but very happy to be drafting with our friends over at

0:17code Maddix to do so. We are going to begin with Christian McCaffrey, who on DraftKings I think really shouldn't be going after Ashton Jeanty. You guys know

0:25I'm one of the biggest Ashton Jeanty guys in fantasy football. I think it's totally fine to take him at the 1.6. But

0:30Christian McCaffrey was not even good last season, right? I mean, let's just let's call a spade a spade. He really wasn't. He was Kareem Hunt as a rusher,

0:38but he was Keenan Allen as a receiver.

0:40He's probably going to score 12, 13, 14 touchdowns. I I could never on DraftKings take CD Lamb ahead of Christian McCaffrey. There's just no way

0:48I wouldn't take Justin Jefferson ahead of McCaffrey. I certainly would not take Jonathan Taylor ahead of McCaffrey. And then the next group of guys, I mean, I

0:55like what this guy in the 12 hole did here with Damarion Hampton and Kenneth Walker. But getting Christian McCaffrey is to me a huge edge on DraftKings with

1:02the full point PPR. I would love to do Barkley here. I'm probably not going to do A.J. Brown. I don't love how A.J.

1:10Brown has just shot up draft boards ever since he did actually, you know, get traded to the Patriots. Even though the

1:15market knew that was going to happen the entire time, we still find a way to be surprised. I guess nothing is ever

1:21really priced in. We are going to take Saquon Barkley here. So, we begin.

1:26I mean, show yourself this draft knowing all that we know about the running back contacts right now in the National Football League and how thirsty rooms

1:35are for running backs. You know, we have Byeshell Tuitan going in the fifth round. We have the a Cleveland Browns running back going in the fifth round.

1:41We have two Pittsburgh Steelers running backs going in the top 100 picks. We have multiple Denver Broncos running backs going off the board by the end of

1:49round 10.

1:51And you can get two guys who have finished running back one in their careers. I mean, Barkley has finished running back one, McCaffrey has

1:58finished running back one, and you compare them together on the same team.

2:01When we come up and we go to pick at 3.9, we're also going to have receivers that we feel comfortable with taking

2:07there, and then at pick 40 and at pick 57, I mean, generally speaking on DraftKings at pick 57, you have a ton of

2:13running backs that you feel good about.

2:15So, we can take a total detour each of the next two rounds, take wide receivers, and that is one of the

2:20elements that you have to think about when you are drafting on DraftKings, which is they're all super teams. I mean, anyone

2:26who kind of knows what they're doing, anyone who signed up for flockfantasy.com using code Davis has access to the flock overlay. You can see

2:33your exposures, you can see the week 17 matchups, you can see your sacks. Like, anyone who [snorts] kind of has a

2:38guideline is going to be able to draft some pretty incredible teams on DraftKings. And so, while I am drafting these, I am often thinking, "How are

2:47these teams going to stack up? Are these teams going to be able to beat some of the ridiculous screenshots?" I mean,

2:52people do love to do that. They go to Twitter and they go, "Oh my gosh, look at this insane DraftKings team." And

2:57then you realize that if, you know, 100 people have tweeted that, then it probably means that your super team is not as unique and as special as you

3:06might think. So, McCaffrey and Barkley to start off with just feels awesome. I I It would really be hard for me to

3:12think 2026 lens, where running back points are super important, running back points and volume are pushed way up the board, is

3:19there a better running back running back start than these two? I I really don't think there is.

3:23So, in thinking through some of the elements of what we need to be doing with our next two picks, I would really

3:28like to get one of these wide receivers, Olave, Ikem Egbuka, Flowers, Ladd, even T Higgins. And I would include Garrett Wilson in that list as well with one of

3:36my next two picks. The running back tier does get pretty flat. Like, I really like Breece Hall. I don't really like

3:42Etienne. I frankly, kind of against my will, I do like Javonte Williams. Josh Jacobs feels like the best of that grouping to me

3:50because I'm I am kind of just betting nothing ever happens and it does seem like nothing is ever going to happen

3:55with Josh Jacobs. I'm not going to take Josh Jacobs in the third. Flowers would make sense because there's a decent chance that we're able to get Lamar

4:02Jackson in round five. So, it'd be between Flowers or Ladd or Tee Higgins here, kind of depending on what I want

4:09to do at quarterback. I don't have strong feelings about any of these guys individually.

4:15So, I guess I'll just take the 80 Well, you know what? I'm actually going to take Ladd McConkey and I'll tell you

4:19why. I'm going to take Ladd McConkey. I live in fear, ever present fear, that Mike McDaniel and his caprice are going

4:26to turn Ladd McConkey into the 2026 JSN.

4:29Now, do I think that Ladd has the same ultimate ceiling as someone like JSN? I actually don't because over the long

4:36term, I expect Ladd to be like a sub-10 A dot guy. I know that he can play outside. I know that he has been

4:42effective down the field, but by and large, I would expect Ladd to sort of be like maybe like an evolutionary Keenan

4:49Allen style player wherein he is going to have some intensely good fantasy football seasons mostly buoyed by touchdowns and Ladd McConkey could have

4:57a 13 touchdown season. Like I I think the degree to which his performance suffered for the Chargers last year doesn't really have much to do

5:04with what he did and kind of just accidental fates that tend to happen a lot to Los Angeles or formerly San Diego

5:10Chargers style players. Now, do I think Ladd is like a perennial first-round pick in fantasy? Do I think he has that

5:16ability? Not really. Got to say I I think I played this one pretty well and I'm actually going to call an audible here. Instead of taking

5:24Javonte Loveland or Neighbors, I'm going to take the slight ADP faller with Tee Higgins. That's going to set me up to

5:31take Burrow at 64 if he's there. He does go a little bit earlier on DraftKings.

5:35Sets me up to take Lamar and Mark Andrews as a bring-back situation, but more importantly, I can very comfortably take whichever one of these running

5:43backs shows up to me at 57. So, that could end up being Judkins, that could be Tooten, that could be Henderson, that

5:48could be Bucky, that could be probably not JaMycal Hasty, but you guys know I've said this a ton of videos on this

5:54channel. I think basically the single most important thing to get right this year, like if I had to dissect what I think is going to be

6:02ultimately the key to the fantasy football season, it is going to be getting those fifth round running backs right. There is always a chance when you

6:09do this at that running back tier in round five is going to run out because Swift, Montgomery, Keaontay Ingram, and Judkins all went. So, now if I do want a

6:17running back, I'm looking at taking Trevion Henderson. I actually don't think I'm going to do that. I'm going to go back to what I

6:23I'm really of two minds here. Do I try and push Burrow around the corner in order to secure the services of You know

6:30what? Let's do it. Let's take Trevion Henderson who, you know, it's become kind of this thing in the fantasy football community like, "Oh, Rhamondre

6:37Stevenson is going to be the starter." I don't know why. Why would anyone take the running back two on the Patriots in

6:41the fifth round? I mean, first off, I do think that we've sort of lost sight of this in best ball. Well, there Joe Burrow goes, so

6:48I'm not going to push Joe Burrow around.

6:50We have kind of lost sight of this in best ball where it's not cool anymore to bet on talent. In best ball, all we talk

6:56about is projectable points, you know, got to make sure that you have enough running back points, got to make sure that you have enough wide receiver

7:01points. Like, these are the windows where we buy guys and player A and player B, it doesn't really matter.

7:06You're trying to construct a portfolio.

7:09And I think that is all well and good, but you know the easiest way to have insane advance rates, you know the

7:13easiest way to, you know, just get through a playoff pod week 15, week 16, and then ultimately win in week 17, is

7:20having the guys who end up defining the fantasy football season.

7:24Of the Bucky Irving, Keaontay Ingram, Tooten, Montgomery, Swift group, I would guess and maybe this is the issue. Man, I am I am kind of screwed here.

7:35I'm going to take JaMycal Hasty and then and then kind of almost just be done at running back with four running

7:40backs here. That did that did not work the way I intended with Burel and Lamar Jackson. But basically, it has become not cool to bet on talent

7:48anymore. Like if something does not have a good projection, if something is relatively far away from the median or modal outcome, then it is no longer kind

7:57of accepted wisdom. It's It's just not part of what the best ball cabal does to be like, "Hey, even though this thing is

8:04not necessarily the most likely outcome, it certainly is one of the most valuable outcomes." And I do think that Trevion has something of the most valuable

8:12outcomes in fantasy football. I think the Patriots offense very likely to be top five in the NFL in points scored. I

8:18think they'll probably play more competitive games this year than they did last year, which means fewer blowouts, which means more run, more

8:25touches for the starters. And by and large, running backs who have those huge efficiency spikes in year one and have the draft capital do tend to see a

8:35greater amount of touches and larger work kind of as things move forward.

8:39Consider Like I would I would honestly compare Trevion Henderson to someone like De'Andre Swift or Jahmyr Gibbs. Uh funny they both played for the Lions,

8:47but just kind of guys like who you could tell were quite quite good but played in backfields with veteran running backs

8:54who did not allow them to like get a true workhorse role. I don't think there's any reason that Henderson and uh

9:00Stevenson can't be something like Gibbs and Montgomery. That's not the way the team played it in the postseason last year, and our minds are so susceptible

9:08to the thing that we just saw. We are so bad at this pattern matching, right? I mean, I think we all know that by now in

9:14fantasy football. We are so so bad at thinking the thing that we just saw is the most important thing, and the

9:21thing that we just saw is also the thing that it's most likely to continue into the future. The way that I would read

9:26the New England Patriots situation is certainly they think that Ramondre is good. Certainly they would be happy for Ramondre Stevenson to be their starting

9:32running back, and for Trevion Henderson to be a Let's call it an 8 to 12 touch per game guy, but in reality, that's

9:39quite not really how things work because when the bullets start flying, you want to get the ball to your most efficient

9:46players. You want to get the ball to your playmakers. No disrespect to Rhamondre who's clearly pretty good at the job the Patriots ask him to do, but

9:54he's not a game breaker.

9:56Treyveon Henderson is a guy who can I mean, he did have multiple touchdown rushes over 50 yards last year and it's

10:02not true because Rhamondre ended up having quite a strong run at the end of last season. But at the point that

10:08Treyveon Henderson had his first long breakaway touchdown after four seasons in the NFL, that was a longer run than Rhamondre had ever had, which I do think

10:16is just very interesting and very indicative of the types of guys that they are. I'm hoping yes, okay. So, if I

10:22don't get sniped here, Justin Herbert. So, you guys tell me the 2v2.

10:27Treyveon Henderson and Justin Herbert versus what would it be? Joe Burrow and Chuba Hubbard. I mean, Joe Burrow and Chuba Hubbard certainly is is a good

10:35pairing, but I did talk earlier about really wanting to get Justin Herbert. I really do want to be more leveraged on

10:41the Los Angeles Chargers than I am thus far. So, I'm pretty comfortable making that decision there. I don't think this This is certainly not like a This isn't

10:49a don't drop the baby team or anything like that, but we do have a high-powered stack. We have a very good running back

10:54room. Obviously, the late tight ends on DraftKings, it's like Man, I never want to stop taking tight ends on DraftKings.

11:00Like, why would I ever take a tight end in the top 100 picks on DraftKings? I have a very hard time doing it because

11:06building things backwards, I just absolutely love taking the tight ends.

11:10So, after taking Herbert, we have a 142 build. Wide receiver is also not particularly dense with value here.

11:18Mecole Hardman I like. Michael Pittman Jr. I also like here because he sets up a rather late stack for us and I should

11:25have less competition for that stack.

11:28Jayden Reed gives me another stack.

11:30I I Hubbard is a pretty big ADP faller here and then I could really be done with five running backs. That would be a

11:3610-spot drop in ADP, which I know is kind of boring, which I am going to do.

11:40I am going to take Chuba Hubbard because I have a pretty hard fade on Chuba Hubbard. This is actually just good best

11:46ball fantasy football advice in general, but if you do have a hard fade on someone, so that could be guys for me

11:52that I don't draft very much would be like Terrace Marshall, McMillan, Terry McLaurin, Chuba Hubbard I don't take very much of.

12:00Guys like that, my advice to you would be anytime you're in a similar situation what I was just in where a guy there was

12:06not an obvious pick for my team and a guy was a full round after ADP, that is when you need to be buying that guy

12:12because it gives you outs at a really, really good price. So we are going to have a lot of work at wide receiver on

12:18this team, but I but I think we can do it. The mountaineer is calling to me right now and it's saying, "Man, you

12:22better hope that there's Mahomes goes, which is pretty annoying.

12:26Pearsall fits this build awesome, actually. I When you are when you're doing builds like this where you're definitely thin at one particular position and we

12:37already had a 49er, I want to be courting volatility like that quite a bit. Like this is going to be a really

12:42good team to take Golden. This is going to be a really good team to take Travis Hunter. This is going to be a really

12:46good team to take Omar Cooper Jr.

12:48because I'm definitely going to be behind at wide receiver in my 12-team pod most weeks. You know, I didn't take a wide receiver until the third. I don't

12:55have Ja'Marr Chase. I don't even have, you know, George Pickens. So I need to be taking guys who are mispriced or or

13:01priced down because of spurious things, right? Injuries, offensive coordinator situations, uncertain competition, and I need to be like, "Okay, if Ricky Pearsall is who he

13:12was before he was injured last year, before he got the um I believe it was a PCL strain, is he going to help be a

13:18league winner for me?" And I think the answer to that one is definitely yes.

13:21Need to look at quarterback here.

13:24Not a ton that's that interesting to me.

13:26I made a pretty big bet on Herbert.

13:29Um, I mean, hey.

13:31Leopard doesn't change Leopard doesn't change his spots. Xavier Worthy at pick 112, I mean, that's actually just a huge value.

13:37Spare me Spare me, honestly, spare me the negative Worthy commentary. Every math-based fantasy football drafter is aligned on this. Doesn't You know, ETR,

13:46uh, even Mason is drafting Xavier Worthy. Leone is in on Xavier Well, Leone Leone's interns are in on Xavier Worthy. The Leg Up guys are in on Xavier

13:55Worthy. Even my quantitative My quant My Clay is in on Xavier Worthy above market on him for the first time ever.

14:01Obviously, if they sign Stefon Diggs, you're not going to feel that good about this price, but as a wide receiver four

14:06and a bring back for that week 17 game with the Chargers, I feel perfectly fine. Pretty good wide receiver turn for

14:12me there being able to add in Pearsall and Worthy as my wide receiver three and wide receiver four. Obviously, we have

14:18our eyes locked in on the Kolar bear a little bit later here. This will probably be a good T-Ferg team. This is a very good like

14:26Dalton Schultz style team. Maybe I could even do Stroud and Schultz. So, let's see if I'm able to wrap a bow on the

14:31pass catchers for this team. More interesting decisions for us here cuz this is kind of right about the range where you need to start thinking I would

14:38have taken Kyler Murray there even if there's not really a back stack.

14:42Still thinking about do I want to take a quarterback? I mean, am I interested in K'Lavon Wallace? Am I interested in

14:46Stroud?

14:48Nothing really doing it for me at wide receiver. You know what? Let's do Mark Andrews. Got a little bit of mini

14:55correlation there between Tee Higgins and Mark Andrews for Ravens-Bengals stuff. I'm going to be substituting quarterback scores there. I don't really

15:02get the Mark Andrews hate. They shipped off both of his backups. Charlie Kolar is with the Chargers. Isaiah Likely is with the Giants. They don't add anyone

15:10significant in free agency. I guess they still could add Diggs. They could still add Deebo. I mean, both of those things

15:15are definitely possible, but again, you're just looking at this from like a quantitative perspective, you One of the most passing efficient offenses. Not not

15:24a ton of volume, but we know that Lamar is going to be super super efficient.

15:28Even the biggest Lamar hater has got to look at his statistical output as a passer and be like, "Man, that guy is

15:34efficient." Like just insanely efficient, which is huge for tight ends because we know that so much of tight end scoring does revolve around

15:40touchdowns. There's There to me there's really no world where I'm taking Jake Ferguson over Mark Andrews on like an uncorrelated situation. Mark Andrews way

15:48better fantasy football pick than Jake Ferguson. He I mean, what's the you know, I did the the video on the Maddock Fantasy Football

15:54channel and basically the hack for tight end production is can this guy be the number two target on his team? The

15:59answer for Mark Andrews definitely yes.

16:01The answer for Jake Ferguson, Dallas Goedert, maybe even Kelce is like definitely no.

16:07So, Mark Andrews is is probably pretty pretty undervalued. Keaton Mitchell would be fun here, but I'm not going to do it.

16:14Do I want to take Ward or Stroud cuz they're probably not You know what?

16:18Let's do Stroud cuz then I can set up the Schultz thing. I can take Jaylen Noel later. I can take Tank Dell later.

16:24That'll set up some back stacks for me cuz I don't really have anything set up right now. All my other quarterbacks are

16:29gone. I mean, I guess I could do like Bryce Young, Chuba Hubbard, which doesn't feel all that good, but right now

16:35the team does feel pretty good starting with McCaffrey and Barkley, Ladd and Tee, then adding in a running back three and four with Trevian Henderson and

16:43Judarian Price, Justin Herbert at 81, Chuba Hubbard with a full round of ADP value, Ricky Pearsall, Xavier Worthy, Mark Andrews, and C.J. Stroud. I I feel

16:52pretty good about this build thus far.

16:55It was definitely a good idea to take C.J. Stroud there. Daniel Jones who just went before, Cam Ward went at 139, Bryce

17:00Young gone. So, now we're down to a range of quarterbacks that you really don't want to be picking from, you know,

17:05Rodgers, Brissett. It's actually crazy on DraftKings how quick that quarterback wall comes because these guys are gone in like round 13, 14. So, that was

17:14definitely a good decision there. I am not going to take Gadston here. I I'm trying to bring my Gadston exposure number down. There are enough people who

17:21are smarter than me who are anti-Gadston at this point that I think I'm I'm giving up the ghost to some degree. We

17:28still have a pretty cozy 2541 build here. Naylor and Trey Tucker fit quite good on this build. Just guys who are like going to eat snaps, but I need

17:37at least one more guy who is going to really really embrace the volatility of the wide receiver position. I think you

17:44guys all it's going to be. Oh no, Davis Maddock, he's clicking he's clicking a defensive back again. There we go. We

17:50are going to take one Mr. Travis Hunter as our wide receiver five. We are probably going to take nine wide receivers on this team. And if we are

17:56taking nine wide receivers, then we definitely need to be taking like you do need some Jaylen Naylor, Trey Tucker, Cooper Kupp, uh Pat Bryant style guys.

18:08Like guys who are not really breakout bets. Like there's no reality where Jaylen Naylor or Trey Tucker is going to be a league winner. There's There's the

18:15the path is pretty small. I mean, it might might be like one or two total paths where we could see a league winner

18:21situation, you know, for for Travis Hunter. But that path does at least exist. And I'm still probably going to be able to get one of these guys, right?

18:28Or no, did they both go? Did they seriously both go? Jaylen Naylor, Trey Tucker. Shout out Shout out to Who's this? EG20.

18:37Shout out to him, man. He He knows what he's doing. He's going to take Mendoza at the next turn. It's a pretty good

18:41move by him. So now we've got a 2551.

18:45>> [snorts] >> Tight ends that I would be targeting here. I mean, definitely Schultz, definitely Terrance Ferguson, definitely Charlie Kolar coming up a little bit

18:53later. So we need to go back to the wide receiver position.

18:56Trey Harris would be a stack. It'd be a little bit of a reach. I've already got that. Florinoy, who I don't love. I know

19:03my guy Evans You know what? Let's do Deebo. Deebo is going to be the eat the vegetables pick here. I mean, Deebo

19:08probably hasn't been eating any vegetables. And maybe it's not even that safe to be talking about eating vegetables right now because of the

19:14the explosive parasite that is going around that apparently is making everyone sick from eating vegetables, but that's going to be my vegetable that

19:21I hope does not lead to an insanely upset stomach later. Well, didn't work out to get Dalton Schultz. He goes a

19:26smidgen ahead of his average draft position. Probably want at least one tight end on this turn, otherwise I'm going to be picking from the real drags.

19:35Hopefully, T-Ferg is able to make it back to my next one. Ideally, we would go Jester Gunnar Helm here, who again,

19:43man. All right, they they are not wanting us to have a good time. All right.

19:48I really do want to take I really do want to take Terrance Ferguson, but this this is not the build for it. You kind

19:54of need someone a little bit more safe here. So, we are going to do AJ Barner on this one.

20:00T-Ferg I love. I mean, you guys you guys know I absolutely love T-Ferg and and maybe this will even end up being a four

20:05tight end build cuz do I think Terrance Ferguson on the next pick is any better than Trey Harris? I mean, Jerry Jeudy actually, gosh.

20:14Staring at Jerry Davis, you go to the mountains, you you you lose one year in Bestball Mania or you have one really

20:19bad year in Bestball Mania in 2024 and all of a sudden you're here in 2026 in a freaking mountain cabin saying, "You

20:25know what I need to do right now? You know what this team needs? This team needs Jerry Jeudy coming off a year

20:30where he was second in the NFL in total routes run, 29th in the NFL in targets, and couldn't even crack eight fantasy

20:36points per game." Do I feel proud about the decisions I made? Do I think I feel happy about I'm doing? No.

20:43No, I really don't, but there's basically no arguing that Jeudy is who I need to be taking here. I mean, maybe you can make an argument for Trey

20:50Harris, maybe you can make an argument for Stribling.

20:53I think the I don't think the Stribling argument would be all that convincing here. And I just I have a very, very hard time with

21:00Trey Harris because I feel like he is diametrically opposed to the Mike McDaniel offense, which is a ton of 12, honestly a ton of 21 like plays a lot of

21:08fullbacks. Trey Harris is not going to be the best fit for that there cuz he's not better than QJ, which is a huge

21:14bummer. Wow, Judy goes.

21:16So, after I just spent, you know, 2 minutes talking bad about Trey Harris, that is who I'm going to take. I am

21:20going to take Trey Harris here giving us a 2572 build. This is probably a build where we're going to be thinking about putting

21:28our uh our wrist up or um maybe going with one of the Atlanta guys, but let's see let's see if we can close this one

21:34out. So, thinking through our remaining options, we lost Gino as a backdoor option. We lost Jacoby as a backdoor option. So, if I am going to take a

21:41third quarterback, I'm saving it to the very end for literally the two Cleveland guys or maybe Michael Penix Jr. Maybe Tua Tagovailoa. Both of them are fine to

21:50me. In 20-round drafts, I would not do that near as much and in fact, I don't do it near as much in the 18-round

21:55drafts, but it feels fine here.

21:58Definitely need to add in another tight end. All right, T. Ferg went.

22:04Boys, I'm not going to lie. I I I maybe not necessarily landing the plane here at the end. Definitely another wide

22:10receiver.

22:11Wicks definitely fits the bill. Ted Hurst would fit the bill.

22:16Katt Bryant would fit the bill a little bit. Let's just do Dontayvion Wicks.

22:19That gives us another Eagle. So, a slight little bit of correlation there.

22:23That now brings us up to a 2582.

22:26Definitely a tight end with this pick.

22:28Let's just make sure I didn't get sniped on one Mr. Charlie Kolar, the Kolar Bear. We're going to take him for the

22:34next pick. The Kolar thing is so funny.

22:36Like it did legitimately start out as a meme.

22:39Well, do I do I take the Kolar Bear here or do I wait? Cuz I guess frankly, I mean, let's just be

22:44real. There's no difference between Charlie Kolar and Oscar Delp and Eli Reardon or yeah, Theo Johnson, Eric All. Like these guys are all the same. So, I'm going to

22:54I'm going to save that and I'm actually going to do another wide receiver.

23:00Do I want to do a stack? I mean, yeah, I guess I need to see is Jaylen Noel available? Jaylen Noel is available and

23:06that is going to be our next pick.

23:09According to according to like the reports right now, it does seem like Noel is ahead of Tank Dell. Although there was an Instagram post

23:15that Tank Dell responded to the idea that Jaylen Noel was ahead of him with like some I think like the questioning

23:21emoji. So maybe that is not how the hierarchy will really play out. But our we're going to take Noel here for the

23:27Stroud stack. Then we are probably going to end with Kolar and then like Shaddur.

23:34Cuz I I don't I definitely do not need another running back. Let me tell you, I do not need another running back. Um so
