Bijan Robinson

PositiveValue50:01

Positioned as potential huge value in the middle of the fifth round if he returns from injury, though Leoni Gretch acknowledges he probably won't be available at that point; locked in at a high ADP tier with Jahmyr Gibbs, with pick 103 positioned as the earliest he could be selected.

Insight page

Brian Robinson

PositiveValue41:20

Late-round running back that fell deep in recent mock drafts. Leoni Gretch drafted him after waiting on running back through the early rounds, demonstrating his availability as a late-round value option in zero RB builds.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

PositiveValue52:18

Leoni Gretch clearly prefers Bucky Irving over Jadarian Price and is surprised he's available this late in the summer at his current ADP. Gretch describes him as 'the stud sandwich' and suggests it doesn't make sense to be getting him this cheap this late in the offseason, positioning Irving as underpriced relative to his talent.

Insight page

Chris Bell

PositiveValue35:12

ADP has risen sharply in recent weeks. Three weeks prior to this episode, Chris Bell was going in the final round or undrafted; now he's being drafted around pick 180. The rise reflects increased role definition and production clarity as the season approaches.

Insight page

Chris Godwin

NegativeRole27:13

GM Jason Light identified Godwin as Tampa Bay's go-to receiver option with Mike Evans gone, praising him as a consistent, steady, clutch player who looks very good in camp. Godwin is locked into the slot role in Tampa Bay's receiver hierarchy. However, he dealt with a toe injury last year that affected his play; the injury could flare back up, creating opportunity for McMillan to see increased work if Godwin is unavailable.

Insight page

Chris Rodriguez

PositiveValue40:06

Mid-round running back available around pick 130 in zero RB draft builds. Leoni Gretch identifies him as part of the mid-round running back depth that makes zero RB strategies viable, allowing drafters to wait on running back without sacrificing quality.

Insight page

Cole Kmet

PositiveValue21:21

Kmet is priced at late fifth, early sixth round as the number three target on the Bears, which is not ideal but carries upside; he has a more downfield profile than Loveland and Burden, which matches well with Caleb Williams' tendency to make improvised downfield throws. Leoni Gretch recommends not being 'super underweight' on him given the potential for sporadic weeks where he becomes the number one target in specific matchups, particularly in baseball-style game flow where target distribution can shift.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

PositiveRole16:15

Colston Loveland was dubbed 'Mr. Steady' by his head coach in a press conference, signaling positive coach sentiment regarding his consistency and reliability. Leoni Gretch identifies Loveland as the number two target in Chicago's concentrated passing game behind Luther Burden, with significant target share upside. However, Gretch notes Loveland is expensive relative to his draft position and considers him a game-breaker talent alongside Burden, making him difficult to acquire despite his role. The concentrated nature of the offense means target share will be concentrated among Burden, Loveland, and Roman Dunay, with no significant competition expected from other receivers like Xavian Thomas or Khif Raymond.

Insight page

Drake London

PositiveValue39:41

Early-round receiver option in zero RB draft builds; part of a strong receiver core (Jamar Chase, Nico Collins, Drake London, Tedoroa McMillan) that Gretch used to anchor a zero RB strategy, demonstrating the viability of building around elite receivers early.

Insight page

Dylan Sampson

PositiveValue41:20

Late-round running back option in zero RB mock drafts. Leoni Gretch used him as part of a late-round running back strategy alongside Jonah Coleman and Brian Robinson, demonstrating viability as a contingent upside play in receiver-heavy builds.

Insight page

Elijah Moore

PositiveValue49:29

Fourth-round running back option with improved draft value due to Chimera's injury status; Leoni Gretch notes 'ETN in the fourth is very nice' and agrees it represents efficient value around pick 47, though cautions against reaching earlier than that.

Insight page

George Kittle

PositiveProjection42:12

Dynasty tight end with significant health and efficiency concerns. Leoni Gretch suggests this might be Kittle's last year of relevance, noting uncertainty about how he will look in 2024, his efficiency level, and his ability to stay healthy throughout the season; projects that he might not be in the league in two to three years, making him a poor dynasty target compared to alternatives.

Insight page

Ja'Marr Chase

PositiveValue39:41

Elite early-round receiver anchor for zero RB draft strategies. Leoni Gretch built a strong receiver core around Chase (alongside Nico Collins, Drake London, and Adonai Mitchell) to demonstrate the viability of receiver-heavy early draft approaches, stating 'that feels pretty good' about the resulting roster construction.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

NegativeProjection51:27

Leoni Gretch is reasonably in on Price but acknowledges significant uncertainty; likes him in mid-to-late fifth round after Bucky Irving and Trey Benson go, but expresses concern about his college backup status and limited playing time at Notre Dame behind Jeremiah Love and Audrey Esté. Price has a wide range of outcomes—could be a star or could resemble first-round bust Roshan Johnson—making it hard to project with certainty; Gretch prefers Irving and Benson over Price.

Insight page

Jahmyr Gibbs

NegativeValue53:50

Jahmyr Gibbs is locked in at a high ADP tier with Bijan Robinson; pick 103 is positioned as the earliest he could be selected in this draft, indicating strong consensus on his draft capital.

Insight page

Jalen McMillan

NegativeValue28:34

Going around pick 170, significantly cheaper than historical context; Leoni Gretch has started drafting him due to the cheap valuation. However, he's squeezed in the depth chart with Godwin in slot, Ibuka at Z, and Hurst competing for X reps. McMillan will see his routes impacted by Hurst's presence, which is not good news for him. Health concerns exist (broke neck last year, 20% chance to miss games per Draft Sharks), but he earned targets immediately upon return. At current price, he's a speculative dart throw at the end of drafts, comparable to DeMario Douglas in value tier. McMillan is a less natural fit at X receiver compared to Hurst, suggesting the Buccaneers may need to deploy him elsewhere despite his draft capital.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

NegativeValue46:47

Running back with week-one availability uncertainty (50/50 status) and backfield competition from Tyler Algier; Leoni Gretch is surprised Love has not slipped further in draft ADP given these concerns. Gretch identifies Love as the RB he would target in the third round, but notes that fourth-round pricing would be 'super inefficient' and a smash value, suggesting current ADP is too high relative to risk.

Insight page

Jonah Coleman

PositiveValue38:32

Running back option drafted in recent zero RB mock drafts; Gretch used him as part of a late-round running back strategy alongside Dylan Samson and Brian Robinson, demonstrating viability as a contingent upside play in receiver-heavy builds.

Insight page

Jonathon Brooks

PositiveProjection0:03

Leoni Gretch expects Jonathan Brooks' talent to win out by midseason despite Week 1 uncertainty. Coach Dave Canales said on September 2nd, "I'm very optimistic he'll be available for week one," and Canales has a stellar track record with the word "optimistic" in injury contexts—his only prior use of "very optimistic" was for Rob Hunt before a playoff game, and Hunt suited up. Brooks is coming off a double ACL tear but showed good form running on the sideline at practice and received decent work in the offseason and preseason. Canales highlighted Brooks' versatility, pass-game ability, screen-game explosiveness, and home-run speed as factors that will differentiate him from predecessor Chuba Hubbard. Gretch has been bullish on Brooks throughout the offseason and is actively drafting him in the late seventh round after he fell back to early-August ADP levels, getting him in the 120s after avoiding him in the 140s as too speculative. At current late-seventh pricing, Gretch notes the soreness is already priced in and he's not continuing to rise, making him a discount value.

Insight page

Lamar Jackson

PositiveValue50:01

Mid-fifth round quarterback option positioned as huge value; Leoni Gretch lists him alongside running back options as a preferred target in that round.

Insight page

Luther Burden

PositiveRole17:28

Leoni Gretch identifies Luther Burden as the clear number one target in Chicago's offense. Gretch emphasizes the target share will be concentrated among Burden, Colston Loveland, and Roman Dunay, with no significant competition expected from other receivers like Xavian Thomas or Khif Raymond. Gretch prioritizes Burden in drafts despite disliking his price, projecting him to beat his ADP given the concentrated nature of the offense and the likelihood of high pass volume from a defense expected to be poor.

Insight page

Malik Davis

NegativeValue41:00

Late-round running back option that has emerged as a viable target in zero RB builds. Leoni Gretch notes that Malik Davis has now popped up as an available option, increasing the depth of running back choices and reducing the risk of being forced into poor late-round selections.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

NegativeProjection19:19

Leoni Gretch acknowledges Harrison as 'a very good player' but does not view him as a game-breaker talent on the level of Luther Burden and Colston Loveland; Harrison is going around the same ADP range as Carnell Tate and Raandre Stevenson. This positioning reflects the concentrated nature of the Chicago passing game, where the top three receivers (Burden, Loveland, and Dunay) are expected to dominate target share.

Insight page

Mike Washington Jr.

NegativeRole14:30

Leoni Gretch views Mike Washington Jr. as likely nothing more than 'a breather back for the Raiders' despite preseason performance. While Washington has a faster 10-yard split and slightly better acceleration ability than Ashton Genty, he was 'not a good breakaway runner in college,' whereas Genty was. The talent gap between the two is described as 'gigantic,' and Gretch suspects 'the gap is actually quite clear' when Washington faces real defenses. Washington is compared to Zamir White and Kaylin Bell archetypes—'very athletic, but I'm not sure how good of a back he ultimately will be.'

Insight page

Nico Collins

NegativeValue30:00

Leoni Gretch used Nico Collins as an early-round receiver option in zero RB draft builds, pairing him with Jamar Chase, Drake London, and Tedoroa McMillan to anchor a zero RB strategy, demonstrating the viability of building around elite receivers early. Collins is cited as a historical example of third-round rookie receiver risk—he had a monster breakout later in his career and was a dynasty draft target in rookie drafts, but did not produce much as a rookie—illustrating why immediate role establishment for third-round rookies is unusual and valuable.

Insight page

Quentin Johnston

NegativeUsage24:22

Quentin Johnston was more efficient than Lad Maki last year, but that context was clouded by the Chargers offense struggling and offensive line issues; Johnston is expected to see usage focused on his YAC ability, creating target-share competition with Maki and other receivers (Harris, Hampton, Kolar, Gatson).

Insight page

Ted Hurst

PositiveRole27:01

GM Jason Light confirmed Hurst will play a role in 2024 after impressing in training camp and OTAs; Light noted he was drafted to learn behind veterans but has evolved into a player they can use this year. Leoni Gretch highlights this as bullish because third-round rookies historically lack immediate role establishment, making Hurst's early opportunity unusual and valuable. Hurst fits naturally at X receiver where Jaylen McMillan is a less natural fit; currently going around pick 203-209. Gretch loves Hurst as a late-round pick and has over 20% allocation on him, noting he impressed in training camp at the X position and the GM is saying he will have a role.

Insight page

Travis Etienne

PositiveValue49:20

Fourth-round running back with improved draft value due to Chimera's health concerns; Leoni Gretch is actively taking ETN in the fourth round and describes it as 'very nice' value around pick 47, though cautions against reaching earlier than that.

Insight page

Trey Benson

NegativeValue51:27

Leoni Gretch prefers Trey Benson over Jadarian Price in the draft, but expresses concern about Benson's role if Charbanet returns and takes goal-line and passing-game work; notes Benson did his best work in the middle of the season and is now splitting with Charbanet, who is designed to be a high-touch, high-value-touch player.

2:40the are you winning son me >> at your desktop.
2:46It is a bit. Um, all right. Let's uh let's talk through some coach speak, man.
2:53>> Let's do it.
2:54>> Um, I named the the episode optimism and consistency because you were uh sharing some some quotes, a few different optimistic quotes. It's not the best
3:06time of year for someone to be optimistic. We want more concrete. Yeah.
3:10Yeah. You know, he's playing. Don't worry. Obviously, he's playing. He's practicing. Why are you asking me about this? That's not what we're getting out
3:17of Carolina. Uh Jonathan Brooks off to the side again today with soreness.
3:22Brooks has been actually pretty active on Twitter. Um telling people like somewhat cryptically, but he see he seems >> fired up, you know. It doesn't seem like
3:33he's uh >> God bless you, my boy.
3:34>> God bless you, my boy. He he hit someone with uh some various hand emojis.
3:40>> Oh, did he do some more? I only saw that one. I I I don't love him tweeting too much.
3:46>> I think I think there's a line >> there. Yeah. I mean, at what point would it become bearish to you?
3:54>> I I'd say more than like five.
3:57>> I think he's done two.
3:59>> Okay.
4:00>> He did the God Bless You My Boy, which is which is pretty great.
4:04Um, and then let's see, he had well he replied to someone
4:14that said I don't mind him making comments and he gave him he hit him with this uh maybe he deleted the other one, but I
4:23saw he he did like he was like, "Yeah, this is gonna be I don't know. It was something like get like get ready kind of kind of vibes."
4:32So yeah, I don't you know, it seems like um Oh, then there was the other report like report that it wasn't his knee. So
4:42I don't know. It's murky though and they're saying they're optimistic, but like I said, you don't really want optimism right now. We want Yeah, he's
4:50playing.
4:50>> So what what are you what's your read on what we get out of Brooks this week?
4:54Yeah, Canalis on September 2nd said, quote, "I'm very optimistic he'll be available for week one." End quote. And
5:04when we got this quote, I looked back into the database that I have uh on actionable coach speak. And Dave Canal
5:12is not not that reliable overall on injury coach speak, but when he has used the word optimistic, he has a stellar
5:23track record of these guys playing. And he has one instance of saying very optimistic, and that was Rob Hunt back in early January before their playoff
5:34game. And Hunt ended up suiting up for that game. So that's pretty nice. And then yeah, we got these comments today
5:44from Canales. They um they so I'll I'll I'll start with this like basically second question we got about Brooks.
5:54They asked him uh are you still optimistic about Jonathan Brooks playing in week one and Canal said I hope so.
6:00Again, we have to just keep taking it one day at a time. He ran today and then we'll evaluate what that looked like.
6:06We'll see that and compare it to what he looked like before and we'll go from there. Uh, and that's like, you know,
6:12one one of the things that's circulating uh around online being being aggregated.
6:18But Canales like basically opened this presser the same way that he opened the last presser just saying I'm going to give all the injury updates on
6:26Wednesday. Like we don't have to give anything out uh until Wednesday. uh cuz some somebody like right off the bat asked asked about Brooks and then they
6:36basically and ended up asking a a second question um about it later. So like that's kind of typical Dave Canales is
6:44like I I don't really give anything away until I have to speak on on something.
6:50Uh so so I think that's like kind of a necessary context to to bring in there.
6:57>> I haven't been super worried about him, you know, not playing week one or anything. It seems like, you know, he's
7:04coming off this major knee injury, maybe they're they're just kind of making sure they don't overdo it. But the more, you
7:10know, he's out or the the longer we we don't get him kind of participating again, you'd at some point be like,
7:17okay, what's what's going on here? But I think I am also probably waiting until Wednesday before I'd have real concern about what this is. And it doesn't it
7:27doesn't seem like he had a setback or anything so far, but it just Yeah. I mean, I understand if you know if you're
7:34drafting and feel nervous about this, anyone anyone listening, I totally get it because he's coming off of this double ACL tear that has really cost him
7:42his NFL career to this point. So, >> yeah. And >> yeah.
7:46>> Yeah. There there was a video of him running today uh on on the side at practice. Looked uh looked good there.
7:53he did, you know, get get a decent amount of work this this offseason and this preseason. So, you know, could could make sense to kind of just I mean,
8:01if they if if they have like a real plan of of playing him quite a bit in week one, maybe maybe just like ease off the
8:08>> ease off the gas a little bit. Um, but we've we we've talked before about how like, yeah, maybe it's not week one that
8:17Brooks gets this like big big workload kind of thing and they just kind of like see how he looks in because there's a
8:22big difference between preseason and regular season NFL games and just kind of ease him in, see see what he's looking like
8:30>> and um and then kind of go from there.
8:33But I do think by, you know, later in the season, midpoint, I I I just think this talent is going to is going to win
8:42out. And and Canalis talked about that today, too. Like, what what are you hoping that Jonathan Brooks brings this year? And he said his versatility showed
8:49up. The film that I remember is a guy who just makes plays in space down the field in the pass game, the screen game,
8:54the home run speed. His ability where once he sets an angle, all of a sudden you see people start turning and realize
9:00he's moving a lot faster than you think he is because he's such a smooth, long strider. It's a factor. It's a pretty
9:06special dynamic in that regard. So, it's the type of explosion that they did not get from Chuba Hubard last year.
9:15>> 100%. And I think, you know, this is one of the reasons I have still been drafting Brooks and have been, you know,
9:21pretty bullish on Brooks most of the summer. When he was going in the 140s and I felt like it was very speculative,
9:27I didn't really chase it then because I, you know, I'm like, this could be a zero again. I don't know what the Panthers
9:32think about it. But as soon as we got confirmation that the Panthers expected him to play a significant role this year
9:40and and then that's kind of moved in a very bullish direction the whole way.
9:43You know, as soon as we got that, I I was in. So, you know, draft him in the 120s really never stopped drafting him
9:50except, you know, when he got there were times where he'd go in like the sixth round and and stuff where I wasn't
9:55taking a ton of them, but he's since fallen again and you can get him back in the in the seventh. Um, I've gotten him
10:02in the late seventh over the the last couple days. And so, you are getting a little bit of a discount on this
10:08soreness, which just for me makes it easier to, you know, not get overly concerned because it's not like he's continuing to rise. You know, if he if
10:17he had made it up to the five, six turn or something and then we were dealing with the soreness, then sure. But he's
10:22actually back down where he was, you know, more like early August now. So, um, yeah, it it there's, you know, it comes with a
10:33little bit of risk obviously if he's not practicing in full, but I think that's more than accounted for with the the
10:38discount if you're getting in the late seven.
10:40>> Yeah, for sure. Back back back down to a more reasonable price. It got very frothy with him going in like the
10:46>> for sure >> 60s sometimes, man.
10:49>> But he he will have a role in the passing game, you know, assuming he's got a significant role. it will include
10:54pass game work and he, you know, that he profiles as a as a dynamic, versatile guy, you know, with with the ability to
11:03have explosive plays. So, um, ultimately, if if he turns into a 1A back, that's not a bad thing. Like, I think we're we're kind of hoping he's
11:14their 1A back down the stretch. It's not, you know, he's not the archetype of a player who needs to consolidate the
11:21entire backfield.
11:23He can be more of a Bucky Irving, you know, or kind of more like what you're hoping for with a bashial tootin or
11:28something where it's like, yeah, he's he's ripping off some some long runs.
11:32He's getting targets. He doesn't have all of it, but um you know, he's got enough. So, I'm still in. Um
11:43another another optimistic guy, Ashton Genty. Um Clint Kubak has uh been asked if he's optimistic. What are what are the reports there?
11:54>> Yes. September 2nd, uh Clint Kubak first was asked, "Hey, what is Ashton Genty status?"
12:02Kubak said he's continuing to improve.
12:05He's still on the mend. And then they asked him a second question about about it, just kind of rephrasing it uh
12:12almost. Uh, are you optimistic about Ashton Genty playing in week one? And then we get this pause followed by a
12:22smile and just yes from from Kubak uh who who does not, you know, just freely
12:31give out actionable coach speak. So, uh, obviously we don't know how reliable his coach beak is yet because we don't, uh,
12:41really have data on that, but just the fact that like this guy is never really giving it out and then he's like pausing
12:49like kind of thinking like do I do I say anything? It's so funny when these coaches are just like pressed a
12:56second time sometimes and just be like, all right, fine. I'm like I don't want to answer different rephrasings of this question.
13:05So yeah, how do I get this fine?
13:07>> Yeah.
13:07>> Yeah. It is such a funny kind of like conflict like the incentives of what the first incentive is like I can't give
13:13away a competitive advantage and the second incentive is like uh this is this sucks. Let me just get this stuff happening. [laughter]
13:22It's uh it's just like short shortterm outlook of of uh [laughter] how do I save myself >> exactly >> the aggravation in the moment.
13:33>> Yes. So I mean that that seems good. It seems like uh you know things have been trending towards him playing for a while
13:41and if he does miss he would be back shortly you know quickly into the season. Um, yeah, it it this all seemed
13:50pretty positive for Genty, which, you know, given how concerning the initial injury was, this this is like truly truly best case
13:59scenario stuff. Um, and he's a guy I've been taking uh, you know, in the in the mid to late second, sometimes even the
14:08early second, you know, that kind of 203 204 range. I I've taken him there, too.
14:12um getting kind of combos that I'm like, "Oh, yeah, this is this is fun." You know, let me get let me get a JSN Genty.
14:18That's fun. You know, that kind of thing. So, uh I am also optimistic myself on on what happens with Genty.
14:25Now, uh the Mike Washington, uh preseason definitely was of note. Uh, but I still think that Genty,
14:36his ability to operate as a receiving game weapon and frankly just being like an otherworldly college prospect compared to Washington, like the
14:45difference in in what those two did in college really is hard to overstate. So, I think it's very likely that Jens is a
14:52better back uh in pretty much every facet. Yeah, I think if if we had seen a 100% healthy Ashton Genty against like
15:02backup >> Yeah, I think we would have liked what we saw.
15:05>> And third string defenses. Yeah, there's there's just a gigantic >> talent gap between those two. And uh
15:15like you're you'd be so like what does Mike Washington Jr. do better than Ashton Genty?
15:22I mean, I think he literally has like a faster 10 yard split, you know, that kind of that kind of thing. Like his
15:28ability to accelerate is probably slightly better, >> but he was like not a good breakaway runner in college. So, >> and Jenty was um I think Yeah, against
15:39real defenses, I suspect that the gap is actually quite clear. Yeah, I I I think considering that like how could Mike
15:50Washington be anything really other than like kind of a breather back for the Raiders?
15:56>> He's sort of Zamir white coated to me, you know? He's a big dude. He gets moving, but I'm not >> Kaylin Bell was a comp. You know, he's
16:06he's very athletic, but I'm not sure how good of a back he ultimately will be. Uh although, you know, he did look cool, so
16:13that was fun.
16:15Um, consistency was the other kind of buzzword today. Mr. Consistency. Who Who in the NFL has now been dubbed by his
16:24head coach Mr. Consistency? Well, Mr.
16:28Steady was Colston Lovelin in this same press conference.
16:32>> Oh my [laughter] god. You didn't tell me there was a Mr. Steady.
16:34>> Yeah, very [laughter] lead on that one.
16:38>> You really did.
16:40>> But first was Mr. consistency. On September 1st, that was uh Ben Johnson talking about Roman Dunay. They asked him what what
16:51has he liked about a Dunay's performance in training camp. Johnson said, "Mr.
16:56Consistency, I know the dialogue about his foot and all that." And yet, you didn't see any setback from that regard.
17:03I thought he looked completely healthy.
17:05I showed a highlight of him cracking a safety in one of the joint practices.
17:10that inspires me to not want to get him the football, but I need to get him the football when I see things like that.
17:18He's doing all the little things, the things that maybe other people don't notice. He's going to be a key cog of
17:25what we do.
17:28Yeah, I I think Odun I I don't have a ton of Odun because I do think that Burden is the number one guy and I think
17:35Loveland is probably probably the number two guy, but I this is an ambiguous target, you know, share sort of
17:43situation, right? And it's also likely to be pretty concentrated.
17:49>> Yeah.
17:50>> I don't think Xavian Thomas, you know, or Khif Raymond or whoever else is going to eat into this a bunch. So
17:57there's a chance that he is the third target and also getting a lot of targets.
18:02>> Mhm.
18:02>> And he has been considerably cheaper than Burden. Um you know even though we're talking about maybe like 15 picks different. It's like the guys that he's
18:12going near it. It's a a big enough difference that I think that Dunay you know I I want more burden. Um and so
18:21I prioritized him even with a price I don't like. But I'm at 6% on on both guys. And it's just, you know, slightly
18:30underweight on both. But I I could really see Odun beating his ADP uh in a way that I I do not want to be out on
18:37even though I like him third best in a vacuum. It's just that the market also likes him third best. And I think
18:44there's enough uncertainty to where uh you know, you you do want to have drafted at least a decent amount. But yeah, I mean, Lovelin is is the one I've
18:54had the most trouble getting because he's he's expensive and I think there's other ways to play tight end, but uh yeah, where where are you at on a Dunay
19:03right now?
19:04>> I I I I agree with you. And as far as like the range he's going in, he's going like right around the like Carnell Tate,
19:12Raandre Stevenson, kind of kind of that area. as far as the receivers, like there's not a ton of guys that you're
19:19like, "Oh, I need to be very heavily invested in these guys." Like Marvin Harrison Jr. is kind of right around that that same area. Um, I do think he's
19:29he's he's like a very good player. I'm I I don't know if he's like quite the game breaker that Luther Burton and
19:38Coloulston Lovelin um are, but like you mentioned, very concentrated offense.
19:44like it's going to be those three pass catchers in the in the passing game.
19:49This is probably a defense that's going to be like pretty bad with all the injuries that they've that they've suffered. Kobe Bryant is out for the
19:57year. Um like who knows if Kyler Gordon plays uh plays at all. Um yeah, so they could be chasing a lot of points this
20:08this season. and uh like Caleb Williams and and Roma Dunes have had like a pretty decent connection when when both of them have have been healthy. So yeah,
20:20I I think Adun will be like third on the in in the pecking order in the pass game there, but I don't think he'll be like a
20:28distant third like like crazy far off.
20:32Uh and like there will just like there should be enough concentration and and pass volume to where yeah he can he can pay
20:41off that ADP.
20:44I also think, you know, when you get in the we've been looking at these types of ADPs and the same sort of situations
20:52have just been thinking about, you know, do I want this guy at this price? And it's it's now been months and months and
21:00months, right? And so, yes, I think over the course of the season, Roma Dunes is probably the third in target share in
21:07Chicago. I don't know that for sure, though. and you it's a pretty big payoff if he's number two instead of number
21:14three given how concentrated it's likely to be. And also if he's number three over the course of the season, he's not number three every
21:21single week, right?
21:22>> And so in something like baseball, you know, he can pop up and be the number one target earner in a given matchup. Um
21:27obviously so and that will probably happen, you know, >> sporadically throughout the season in ways that could end up being the weeks
21:36where you need it, right? So, he's just it's it's not like he's super cheap and you're getting probably the number three
21:44target on the team at like the late fifth, early sixth round price. It's not ideal, but I do think there there's been
21:52some upside there to at least make sure you're not like super underweight on him.
21:56>> Yeah. And and and he does have more of a downfield profile than than Lovelin and Burden. So talk talking about best
22:04baseball and you know the the Caleb likes to make these kind of like superman improvised downfield throws so that matches up pretty well with the
22:14with the doomsday.
22:16>> Yeah, that's true. Um especially well Burden is is tricky. I'm not sure exactly what his role will be but uh
22:24yeah Rome will will see a higher percentage of his targets downfield than than Burden. I think even if Burden does have some some deep stuff mixed in.
22:32>> Uh, all right. You also had thoughts on Mike McDaniel uh talking about Lad Maki.
22:37>> Yeah, Mike McDaniel on September 2nd was asked what jumps out about Lad Manakey that McDaniel did not see on film and
22:46McDaniel said, "You see all the talent.
22:48What's been awesome is how accelerating the process is of coaching him. The coaching point is awesome when he does it exactly that way with talent and
22:57scores a touchdown. So, it's a good marriage in that way. He's very coachable. Football is about fractions of seconds. So, the little nuance stuff
23:06and little details being able to work through that game by game to be able to feature him as a playm m maker is
23:12exciting. And yeah, this just kind of matches up perfectly with what McDaniel has been saying about the offense in general and like Justin Herbert this off
23:24seasonason, how they're changing his footwork uh in order for him to fire the ball off quicker after the snap this year and and and what we know about how
23:35intricate and complex these Mike McDaniel um uh offensive schemes are, you know, putting these guys in in in motion.
23:44and just kind of maximizing the space that they have. Uh when when you hear stuff about this uh the way that he's
23:51talked about Justin Herbert and then the way that that he's talking about Lad Mani, it really just does seem like a
23:57perfect marriage because Maki is so good. And when you know McDaniel talking about the nuances and these fractions of seconds I think between Herbert and
24:07Manki like that that is such a great mesh like such a perfect mesh uh between those two and then obviously Mike
24:14McDaniel. So I I think we could see like a like there are scenarios where we get just like a nuclear season from Vlad
24:21Makoni.
24:22>> I agree. I think Vlad Makoni is really good. Um, I think that, you know, last year he was less efficient than Quinton
24:32Johnston, but it was in the context of this offense really struggling at times and uh them dealing with the offensive line issues and kind of being a mess at
24:43points and Omarian Hampton has kind of gotten like the treatment of, hey, this this year wasn't really reflective of of what we can expect from this guy going
24:52forward. Makanki has to some extent, but I think he's priced in a range where there's still a lot of upside if
25:00the offense rebounds and then McDaniel has him as a focal point of the offense, which I would expect. I mean, it's one
25:08of the I haven't I haven't taken a ton of Maki because there's a lot of players right around that 34 turn that I like.
25:15Um, and so I am underweight, but he is one that makes me nervous to have not prioritized this summer. Um because on
25:22the one hand it's like okay he's not definitely you know going to be this clear number one. They've got uh Johnston who they've talked a lot about
25:33using you know his yak ability. Trey Harris should have a bigger role. They do have a Ronda Gatson who might be a
25:39healthy scratch to start the year but like at one point we're like well that's a passcatching tight end you got to
25:44worry about. Uh they're probably going to throw some to Hampton. They're going to throw some to Kolar and Jooko whoever is actually playing tight end. It's like
25:50how concentrated is this to the one? And you've got, you know, guys like Wadd where it seems like he's going to be the
25:57clear number one. Flowers looks like he's going to be the clear number one.
26:01Um, you know, there's Garrett Wilson, I mean, obviously he's on the Jets, but like that dude's going to dominate target share. So, you know, there's that
26:09that element of it, but the upside for Maki, I do agree, is is super high. like he and it it's just gonna be one of
26:17those ones in retrospect where it's like yeah McDaniel had Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Wadd and the entire offense ran through them but mostly through Hill cuz he's
26:27better than Waddle and who's better between Vlad Mccunki and Quinton Johnson like who's better you [laughter] know do we have to pretend or do Yeah.
26:38>> Yeah. So, it is one of those ones where I I wish I had more.
26:44Now, I've drafted a lot of teams and as we talked about, I'm going to be drafting more soon. So, >> you got a chance. Yeah, still chance%
26:52tonight.
26:52>> I honestly [laughter] might.
26:54>> Yeah, I'm going to be taking some Maki today. I'll tell you that. Um uh another guy I I have taken a lot of
27:01actually and I've been in on him for a while um is is Ted Hurst. and you you highlighted him as as someone that uh
27:11Jason Light was was talking positively about.
27:13>> Yeah. Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager Jason Light on September 1st talked about a couple players. First, they asked him who is the Bucks go-to
27:23receiver now with Mike Evans gone. Light said, "We have a lot of options at that.
27:27I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Chris Godwin for all that he's done for this organization." Talk about being a consistent, steady Mr. clutch player.
27:37That's him. He looks very, very good out there right now. We got We've gotten a lot of Mr. Clutch, Mr. Consistency, Mr.
27:43Steady quotes like from coaches and general manager. It's something in the water.
27:47>> Too much mister. What's going on with this mister thing? [laughter] >> Yeah, >> I'm not a big fan.
27:52>> Maybe it was one of these memos that that league sent out or something. Yeah.
27:56Please, please listen refer your players as Mr. Something. All right.
28:04>> [laughter] >> Mr. Steady and Mr. Consistency are just like, "What's happening? What's going on?"
28:11>> You you get a wide receiver room comprised of a Mr. Steady, a Mr. Clutch, and a Mr. Consistency. Now you're
28:18cooking. All right. Maybe maybe the Bears should trade for Chris.
28:22>> Like these guys all getting together and watching Reservoir Dogs. Like what's happening? [laughter] What are we doing?
28:30>> The players are arguing. I I want to be Mr. Clutch. No, no, no. You're Mr.
28:34Consistency. [laughter] Uh, by the way, we're not tipping this waitress. Um, yeah. Jason Light was asked about Ted Hurst growth and has he
28:46picked up faster with Jaylen McMillan and Amecha Eggbuka missing time. Light said that certainly helped him. After we drafted him, I thought this is a great
28:55situation for him to be behind these guys and learn. may not make a big impact for us this year, but one for the
29:02future. But I think he's proven to us throughout camp and even OTAAS that he's been very very steady. And I think it's
29:10kind of evolved into >> I didn't call him Mr. Steady.
29:12>> He didn't he didn't [laughter] he did not call him Mr. Steady. That's a little bearish. That's a just a regular just a
29:18regular young steady >> young upand cominging steady. Uh his father was Mr. Steady. You can call him Steady.
29:25>> He's Mr. Steady. My father.
29:27>> Yeah.
29:29uh he's been very very steady and I think it's kind of evolved into okay, we can use him this year and he's going to
29:35play a role.
29:38>> Yeah. I mean that's pretty good. like third round. One of the things I I looked into or that jumped out to me
29:43when I looked into the rookie wide receivers is from a dynasty perspective, you know, we've gotten some nice hits out of the third round, but looking at
29:52back at the best ball results, it's not been as great in year one for some of these third round guys and and even guys
30:00like Ano Collins who has this monster breakout. um you know, from a dynasty perspective, you wanted to be drafting Nico Collins in your rookie drafts, but
30:09didn't really do a lot as a rookie. Um and so the third round guys just historically haven't had the immediate
30:18impact of the second round guys, which you know, it could be. There's certainly some noise in that, but it did make me
30:26think like, yeah, you we need to be at least aware that we could be getting a Jaylen Hyatt, you know, when we're drafting
30:35these third round guys. And it it made me um seeing any kind of immediate role stuff
30:44around Ted Hurst or any third round pick like, you know, Jacobe Lane as well.
30:50That that I think is really bullish.
30:53like it is not a given um that that these guys establish themselves with any kind of role in their rookie seasons.
31:00And so that has has changed my view, you know, on Lane in a big way who looks like a starter out of the gate, but
31:07Hurst, too. I mean, I think he's going to have a role this year. I mean, the GM is saying that he will and he was given
31:13an opportunity they probably didn't expect him to have in training camp and he he looks really impressed. So, I love Ted Hurst as a late round pick. I think,
31:22you know, he's been intriguing. I kind of cooled off at one point because I thought I was probably taking too much,
31:28but then, you know, with with him impressing in in training camp and fitting quite naturally at X for a team that probably is going to have to
31:37play Jaylen McMillan there who's not as natural a fit at X. Uh I'm I'm I'm excited to have over 20% Hurst right
31:44now.
31:45>> Yeah. And I think with where they're both going right now, you know, Hurst is going past pick like I think like 203 or
31:52209, something like that. Jaylen McMillan is going like 170ish. Uh I think this is a situation where you
32:01could take both of those guys in drafts and you know you're >> I've started drafting a little McMillan because he is so cheap now. Yeah, he
32:09will just fall and fall.
32:10>> And and like it's it's easy to forget about how they talked about Jaylen McMillan in his rookie year. Like he was
32:20destroying in training camp. Like they loved what they saw out of him. And then like when he was healthy and able to
32:27play, like he looked pretty good. Like he he ended up missing a decent amount of time with injuries. uh than like last
32:35year he broke his neck and then still came back and earned targets like almost right away when he came back. Uh so for
32:44him I think it's just like kind of a health thing but like he hasn't been able to stay super healthy and now some
32:50of that is fluky, right? Like the broken neck thing that's not that's not like a oh this guy's injury prone. He's he's
32:56he's out here breaking his neck. Um >> he's got a skinny neck. Have you seen him?
33:03>> Yeah. little pencil neck. He's got 20 He's on Draft Sharks. 20% chance.
33:10>> Oh, no.
33:11>> To to miss games because of his neck.
33:15>> Yeah, [laughter] >> he's got to do more of these guys, you know, get them.
33:19>> Come on. Come on, Jim. [laughter] >> Yeah, I I agree. It's not uh it's not predictable. And uh and he looks healthy
33:27now. So, it's more like to me I think he's he looks potentially a little bit squeezed because Godwin's going to be in
33:34the slot. Ibuka is going to be in the Z and then I think McMillan's going to be in the X to the extent that Hurst isn't
33:41playing. But if Hurst is playing, he will play X. Like that's what his job is, right?
33:46>> And and so I think McMillan is the first one to see his routes impacted by by Hurst. So this is not good news for him.
33:54However, I mean, they could they played some TZ Johnson last year. You obviously you have, you know, Godwin wasn't wasn't playing that well last year um off off
34:04of his injury. I dealt with this toe thing. You know, maybe that could flare back up. Like there are ways where
34:10McMillan just kind of sees work over the course of the season and he's getting now like real cheap at the end of drafts
34:17and stuff. So, I think if you're kind of thinking of him as like a a dark throw at the very end, he makes sense. I I
34:25haven't drafted a lot of him because I I just been nervous about the floor where he was going before, but the price has
34:30dropped enough where I think you can kind of you can kind of mix him in and like the same like I you know, he's not
34:36going that far ahead of like a Demario Douglas or you know, something like that. Like, >> you know, you're you're mixing these
34:41guys in uh hoping for for a few weeks here and there, not like a steady role.
34:46>> Yeah. Yeah. And that and that's a point in in drafts now where where you get to the 200s and it's this barren wasteland.
34:54>> Totally.
34:55>> Because like people, you know, roles are kind of more defined now. We've seen more from these guys. So dudes like
35:03Jacobe Lane who very early in the offseason were going to the final round.
35:06Like they're going way earlier than that. guys like Chris Bell who just like three weeks ago was going in the final
35:12round or undrafted like going going in the like 180ish >> range. So it you get to those like last
35:21two rounds and it's Taekquin Thornton uh who I've taken a decent amount of uh Ted Hurst like maybe Rashad Baitman is there
35:32Xavier Leette. It's like who who am I taking here? Not even fancy zeros, just ugly possible zeros.
35:42>> Yeah. Yeah. No, I I'm completely with you at that point. Um, so yeah, last note you had here was on
35:50EMTT Johnson, which I think is a fun one. Um, he looks to have locked up that number two job pretty clearly. Amari de
35:59Marcato is now a cowboy. Um, and so it's like, you know, they've got Bashard Smith. Uh, but uh it seems like Emma
36:09Johnson is, you know, the clear rushing uh handcuff now, but uh you had a note on uh his pass protection, which would
36:20be a pretty important part of him being able to play more. Andy Reid on September 2nd was asked, "What has stood
36:27out about EMTT Johnson the last few weeks?" Reed said pass protection. We knew he could run the ball, but the thing we had to see was the pass
36:37protection. For him to be the number two back, you've got to be able to do that.
36:41He's a smart kid. He's willing to stick it up in there. He did a nice job with it. Maybe work on your phrasing.
36:50>> Great. That's a true phrasing moment.
36:52>> Stick it up in there.
36:53>> Phrasing. [laughter] Truly phrasing.
37:00Like why it you know what I mean? Like he's >> But a lot a lot of these coaches will say stick his face up in there which
37:08isn't isn't much better.
37:10>> It is better though.
37:12>> Yeah. [laughter] Yeah. Too much too much ambiguity. Like stop leaving it to our minds to fill in what it is.
37:19>> Like you know we're not good at that.
37:21>> Yeah. [laughter] Oh my god.
37:26Well that's good. But I'm glad he's sticking it up in there. And uh I'm glad Reed likes the way he's sticking it up in there. It's all
37:34very bullish for EMTT Johnson. I took Emtt Johnson earlier today. Um I think he's uh >> what round >> late, you know, I forget 14th, something
37:44like that.
37:45>> Um but yeah, I mean I think he he's moved up quickly. You know, people are uh obviously >> excited that he is the number two back
37:56there. So, um, you know, he's moved up, but I think on teams where you you are going zero running back, and I tell you
38:04what, I've actually drafted more zero running back teams, uh, in the last couple days, like just straight up five like five wide receivers off the rip
38:14kind of kind of stuff. Um, which has been fun. Uh, so, you know, with those types of builds where you're you're like
38:23hunting for guys who can who can deliver upside later in the year, um, I think he he makes a lot of sense. I've done stuff
38:32where you take like a Marshon Lloyd and you know maybe Jakory Kroski Merritt and uh and then you're just then I've did
38:42like Jonah Coleman and you know I think Emma Johnson fits great on a team like that where it's probably more contingent
38:48but you know you end up maybe with like a a Helani or a Chimera or something kind of gross that way plus a Lloyd plus
38:58maybe like a an Aaron Jones, something like that. But you're like, who can who could be like a guy in the in the
39:05playoffs? And I I do think Emma Johnson has potential at this point. Um, again, mostly contingent, but if they're talking him up as a pass protector,
39:16that's that's pretty strong for his ability to stay ahead of Bashard Smith the whole season, which, you know, is important.
39:23>> Yeah. there, man. You you can build some really really nice uh zero RB teams like with with the with the first like four
39:33rounds of receivers when you're kind of in that first, you know, four, fiveish picks where you get uh I was helping a
39:41buddy do a basketball millionaire the other day and we started Jamar Chase, uh Nico Collins, Drake London, Tedoroa McMillan.
39:51It's like that that feels pretty good if you're able to to kind of fill out the the running.
39:57>> Jamar Chase, Nico Collins, >> and who?
40:00>> Drake London.
40:01>> Drake London >> and and Tedo McMillan.
40:05>> Yeah, that's pretty awesome, man.
40:06>> And then then you can get guys like Chris Rodriguez at like 130, >> Ka Spears, kind of in that 145ish range.
40:16>> Yeah. Yeah. And I think that, you know, there's enough guys now like if you don't get this is the problem I think
40:23with with the zero running back stuff early in the summer. It's it's not that it wasn't doable. I mean, Marshon Lloyd
40:29was sitting down there who, you know, those teams are better than I assumed they would be at that time. Um, but
40:35there weren't like a ton of guys. And so if you didn't get the guy, you know, you could end up being in a situation where
40:43it's like, well, I'm going to have to take a chance on I guess I'll have to take a chance on Jaden Blue, you know.
40:51It's like, well, that didn't work, you know? So, I think just there being like enough players where you don't get, you know, every single one of them,
41:00you're still okay. Like a Malik Davis has now popped up. Um, >> yeah.
41:04>> You good with JSN here or you want to do Caffrey?
41:07Well, we can do Jason.
41:09>> Let's do Jason.
41:11Um, so anyway, yeah, I think uh like I in this draft I did earlier, I took a
41:20Jonah Coleman and then uh maybe a Dylan Samson and then I and then Brian Robinson like fell all the way back to
41:27me. And so there's, yeah, again, there's just like enough guys where the whole draft isn't dependent on like this one player falling to you. Uh, and Johnson
41:38is is clearly a part of that group. Now, I got a got a super chat question here.
41:46Let me pull it up.
41:48I was just offered either KD or Concaid and Pickins for London in Dynasty and don't know which tight end to take or
41:57just want the best for the next two to three years. So London versus I think I would do Pickins and Concaid for London.
42:07Yeah, if if if you're just picking between those two tight ends uh in dynasty for the next two or three years,
42:12like this might be the last year of George KD. Um at at I mean, we don't even know how he's going to look this
42:21year. Like I do think he'll be he'll be ready for for week one, but like what's his efficiency going to be? How healthy
42:27is he going to be able to make it throughout the entire season? and then projecting that forward like two or three years like might might not be in
42:35the league in two years.
42:36>> Yeah.
42:39Um appreciate uh appreciate the uh been some nice comments of of people, you
42:47know, uh saying they've enjoyed the uh the content this year and uh have appreciated you guys hanging out with us all summer.
42:58>> [snorts] >> Um, we're going to we're going to hopefully ship it with this with this last draft here, Greg. That'd be pretty nice.
43:05Pretty nice.
43:08So, the second rounds we're looking at Walker, Han, Genty potentially. I would be psyched to get any of those backs.
43:18Walker goes uh Henry pops up as the third recommendation. I'd be fine with Henry as well here. Uh, I haven't drafted a ton of Henry. Uh, but
43:28>> at this price, I I'd be I'd be good with it.
43:32>> If we got to take the big dog, I guess.
43:37All right, let's go.
43:40>> Are you Han, Genty? What What's jumping out to you here?
43:43>> Oh, man. They're going to make us pick here, huh?
43:46>> They are.
43:48>> Honestly, I think I'm Genty.
43:50>> I'm good with Genty, man.
43:55Jenty could be anything. Even Devon Chan could be anything. Even Mr. Consistency.
44:04>> Yeah.
44:06Mr. Optimism they're calling [laughter] him Kubak is he's something else, man.
44:16His his his sly little grin he gave.
44:22Somebody asking if I'm from San Antonio.
44:25No, I never played for the Spurs.
44:29I have thought about maybe like putting on some some warm-up pants going down to San Antonio, getting some like stilts, putting on a
44:39a um Manu Ginobi jersey.
44:42>> Yeah, I was about to say you kind you you have a little Ginobi to you. You could you could pull off Ginobi. I think
44:48>> I could do it. until they until they make me shoot a free throw.
44:55>> I literally I just Googled as you were setting that up. I googled Genovi. I was like, is this headed toward Genobi?
45:02So, I'm looking right at him.
45:04>> Yeah.
45:04>> Like, yeah, there's Genobi.
45:06>> Yeah, >> you could definitely. Have you done Gobbi for Halloween at any point?
45:10>> I have not. Nobody in LA knows who Manu Genobbi is. Nobody in France.
45:14>> Yeah, you'd have you'd have to visit uh San Antonio for Halloween.
45:18>> Yeah. Yeah. [laughter] Be hilarious to be on stilts. Dude, that would be a hilarious costume though.
45:26Like to actually wear stilts. [laughter] >> Yeah.
45:29>> I'm on a >> like do I do do I do I do accurate stilts to make me gobby's height or do I
45:35do do I do like crazy like crazy like novelty size?
45:42>> Yeah. Like I didn't realize Genobbly was 9 foot8.
45:45>> Yeah. Yes. Yes.
45:50Like 13 foot gobbly is kind of what I'm picturing. [laughter] >> Slender Man Genobi.
45:56>> Slender Man.
45:57>> Yeah, just out in the woods.
45:59>> Yeah, that's what I'm picturing for sure.
46:15Wendy with a Genople mask.
46:31Wow. This is this is faced with a lot of decisions here >> indeed. Well, McBride goes, which is a bummer. That would have been a good one
46:42for sure.
46:45Um, Kairen top of the sidekick, then Jeremiah Love, ETN Hall.
46:53There's a lot of a lot of guys we could go. Makanki goes ahead of our pick here.
46:57What jumps out to you here? Oh man. Um, I think like Love would be the running back.
47:07that I would maybe target here. But like I could also go receiver here if we want to do that >> flowers. We could do Yeah, if you want
47:15to do flowers just uh >> go a little bit of a different path here.
47:19>> Yeah. And there's a possibility that a certain >> fella can make it back to us >> in the fourth.
47:31It's happened. It's been happening.
47:33>> It has happened.
47:35Yeah.
47:37I kind of I kind of like that because in the fifth we could be looking at at Lamar potentially uh for if we can get to two and two two
47:46running backs, two wide receivers, I feel pretty good about Lamar. I'm surprised that Jeremiah Love has not slipped down in drafts more than he has
47:55over the last few weeks with reports of like, oh, he's he's like 5050 for week one and then the like
48:05back field with Tyler Algier kind of comments and speculation that we've been getting.
48:11>> I agree. I mean, it's been a little strange because, you know, Bree has fallen so much on on a more minor
48:19injury. Love I'm I'm more concerned about to start the year. Uh, so I I I do agree. I wish he was more at
48:29that three, four turn consistently or even the in the fourth because fourth round love would it's one of those things where it's like, why aren't you
48:37giving me fourth round love a price I would make fun of you for, >> right? [laughter] Right.
48:43>> A price I would say is super inefficient and shouldn't exist. [laughter] >> Why Why won't you give me that?
48:48>> Yeah.
48:50I wonder if we should take Jeremiah Love here in the middle of the third. Why is he not going in the fourth? [laughter]
48:58>> Exactly.
49:02All right. We're not too far away.
49:05Get the board up here actually. Oh, there goes love.
49:12There goes Greece.
49:14>> Come on.
49:16>> Seriously killing us.
49:20>> I've been taking some ETN with uh you know his price dropping and then Chimera is not healthy and >> yeah, ETN in the fourth is very nice.
49:29>> I I agree.
49:32Not nice enough that you got to take it in the next three picks, but I think right around the 47 is
49:38>> the 407's I think efficient. Any earlier >> I think you got to take him.
49:42>> Oh, God damn it.
49:43>> This idiot. [laughter] >> JK. JK.
49:52Where you at on Scataboo these days?
49:56Trying not to catch him.
49:59Catch what? What? diseases.
50:02>> I say, are you up to date on your shots?
50:06>> I'm scatted up.
50:09>> Oh god. [laughter] >> I do think I'd be T-Mac here though.
50:14>> Oh, Sims are in your head, dude.
50:16>> Or Whoa.
50:17>> Whoa, dude. [laughter] >> The berberries are schnazberries >> and the Sims taste like Sims. Blow your
50:29mind, bro.
50:39>> All right. I like this team, man.
50:41>> Oh, yeah.
50:41>> JSN, Genty Flowers, T-Mac potentially looking at at Lamar here or
50:51a running back. I think uh you know, obviously Bernerbuk could get back. They they'd be real sweet in the middle of
50:57the fifth. They probably won't, but these running backs. Um, and then Lamar.
51:02See, the Sims are in my head. I knew I knew if I scrolled down I'd find Lamar right behind the the running backs we
51:07like. So, yeah, this looks like pretty clearcut. We go. Huge value on Ibuka or running back or Lamar.
51:16Yeah, Ibuka gone.
51:20Some very good running back in the fifth options. Where you at on Jadarian Price?
51:27I'm I'm definitely, you know, reasonably in on price. I don't He makes me a little nervous compared like I like Tootin more still. Um,
51:38I probably even like Judkins more, but you know, my concern with him is that if Charbanet comes back, we we're dealing
51:47with a guy who did his best work actually maybe in the middle of the season >> and, you know, is now splitting with
51:53Charbanet who is kind of designed to be annoying from a high touch high value touch perspective, right? He's going to get
52:02passing game work. he's probably going to get goal line work. And so that's that's where I'm at with Price where it's more like I like him after those
52:10other guys go. Uh but I do like him in the kind of mid to late fifth as long as there's not a back that I like better.
52:18But I I do I mean like Bucky I clearly like better.
52:23Um and then Tootton I think I still like better as well.
52:30He's two ahead of us. have a have a pair of running backs already and they're not.
52:43Oh, this one might be sidekicking it, but I don't think this guy is [laughter] James Cook at 105.
52:54>> Probably not.
52:57>> The James Cook at 105 drafter does not seem like a big Bucky guy.
53:02We'll see. I mean, the Bucks do have a good offensive line, you know. Oh, Stevenson. What was I thinking? Bucky.
53:10>> Bucky.
53:11>> It's It's too late in the summer for us to be getting Bucky this cheap, right?
53:14>> It is.
53:15>> It doesn't make any sense.
53:20>> Bucky.
53:21>> He's the stud sandwich.
53:23>> The stud. That's what they call him.
53:25>> Yeah. Zack Robin.
53:26>> You know what they call him?
53:28>> Mr. Mr. Stud Sandwich. [laughter] Dude, if a coach called a player Mr.
53:38Stud Sandwich, how high do you think his ADP would rise?
53:42>> I mean, it would I think Gibbs and Bejon are so locked in that 103 is the earliest he [laughter] could get to,
53:51but I would say 103 is is on the table.
53:55You get you get the social media team putting out graphics of Mr.
54:00Stud Sandwich.
54:06>> Toutin is Leberucky says Toutin is so much worse of a football player, lol.
54:10Than who?
54:11>> I think this was leg that is funny. Tooten was a college workhorse. I mean, I think Toutin can play. I feel confident about that. I'm
54:20actually not sure how good Price is. I'm optimistic he's good, but that's part of my thing. It's hard to say anything with
54:27real confidence about Price because he was literally a college backup.
54:35>> He was a backup to a very very good >> Well, yes. Yes. No, I think it's possible he's like way better than
54:43Toutin.
54:44>> Yeah.
54:44>> But I also think it's possible he's like clearly worse than Toutin, >> right?
54:48>> There's a there's a real wide range here. It's just hard to be like, I know with certainty anything about Jadarian
54:53Price. I mean, he he tours Achilles, right, before he ever played a game with Notre Dame. And then they go out and
54:59they get Love. Well, you know, the guy they they thought would be their their starter, the future suffered an Achilles tear. You can't count on anything from
55:07him going forward. So, they get Love.
55:09Then Price comes back. Love is there, you know, in his sophomore season.
55:14Love's freshman season, and they're both behind Audrey Esté. Love is love. That's another thing. They kind of broke badly for Price where it it's not just they
55:23went out and got love, but he's Jeremiah Love. That sucks for him. And then he has to back him up for the next two
55:29years. So, you know, it could he could be a star.
55:33Like, he absolutely could be a star who just kind of was in a bad spot in college. Drake, let's do it. Um,
55:40at the same time, he could also be like first round Roshan Johnson, you know, like this a pretty low floor on on like a guy
55:52who wasn't a college starter. Uh, so yeah, broke out the uh
56:02the mid 2000s McLemore love is love messaging.
56:09Love [snorts] is pretty good, man. Yeah, love sticks it up in there.
56:18I knew you were going to say Roshan.
56:20Should I beat you to it? I just have to think. You have to admit there's a low floor with Price. Like clearly has a low
56:26floor. Definitely when Charbanet comes back. Yeah, that's that's that's the scariest thing to me is that
56:37where where are you when I need you most? You know, this is the like a reverse footprints in the sand kind of
56:46situation.
56:49We start out >> what's [laughter] the reverse? Is the reverse that you didn't get carried or that you just see footprints and a guy?
56:54>> We start We start out with one set of footprints and then Charbanet comes back and then we got two sets.
57:01>> You know what the reverse is? That there's three sets of footprints.
57:06>> Not three.
57:07>> Who's the third person?
57:08>> Yeah. [laughter] >> I thought it was just me and you, Jay Dog. [laughter] >> Yeah. What? Who's this third person?
57:18What's going on? Oh, that's Charbanet.
57:20Yeah, I know. He's gonna be >> my buddy Zack. [laughter] >> Yeah, he's gonna actually You probably should have drafted Zack. [laughter]
57:38>> Three sets would really throw you, huh?
57:41That's a That's a different That's a different twist on that story.
57:49That's that's how I want coaches to start referring to to their back fields.
57:55Is it a workhorse? Is it a a three footprint situation? How many how many footprints we got in this back field?
58:04>> Don't No. Then they're all going to start doing it and suddenly we have Mr.
58:07Footprints.
58:08>> Mr. [laughter] Footprint.
58:12>> It's no good. Jonathan Brooks, top of the sidekick here. Um, if he makes it one more pick, are you good with that?
58:18>> I'd be good with it. You feeling optimistic? I'm feeling very optimistic.
58:22>> All right, beautiful. I think this guy here, James Cook, Cam Scataboo, Randre Stevenson. Yeah, he stays out of our way
58:28with Brooks.
58:30Let's do it. Hell yeah.
58:38footprint index [laughter] price ceiling is just as high as
58:47loves. Uh some would say legendary upside as a first round or a Super Bowl champ. I think pretty clearly he does
58:54not have legendary upside or really even close but um he's just not gonna have enough receiving. But he goes in the
59:03fifth round or sometimes sixth round. I mean, the other thing I should say is like I was drafting a ton of Price
59:09pre-draft. You get him in the ninth round.
59:11>> Like I I'm not out on the idea of Price being an awesome pick at a certain price, but >> like look look who he went ahead of
59:21here.
59:22>> You you just want to keep it in perspective. Like he was a first round pick, but in kind of a dumb way, you
59:28know, it's the last pick of the first round. They don't take care of running back. Um it's a two running back class.
59:35And this is kind of poor team planning by the Seahawks as much as like some huge, you know, endorsement of him.
59:45And obviously it's good he went in the first round, but first round running back is a little complimentary to Jadarian Price when that like includes
59:55guys like Bjan Robinson and Jeremiah Love, >> right?
59:59>> Yeah. Yeah. Let's put an asterisk, >> a little bit of an asterisk on that >> on first round >> from the upside perspective. Like he's a
60:06he's he looks more like, you know, a two down guy, probably a committee runner to start his career. There is upside. He
60:13can definitely pay off his his current price. Even this 412 price, he can totally pay that off. Uh but yeah, I I don't buy that. He's got,
60:24you know, season changing kind of upside. Blake Cororum. Let's go.
60:31>> Love this price on Cororum. Speaking of prices, some great standalone value. Uh
60:41obviously maybe the best kind of contingent value of of running backs.
60:51Really good offense.
60:53Get these like speculative reports that he might be, you know, 5050 or like 1A. I don't know.
61:03I don't know if I really believe 1A, but I think um could definitely see the kind of drive for drive stuff that we saw.
61:11>> Yeah.
61:12>> Kind of near the end of last season.
61:14>> I think so, too. I mean, I think um Cororm has some of the clearest cut contingent value of any running back in
61:23a in a way of like not just we know it would be him, but he would potentially be like, you know, a second round pick
61:28kind of value. Um, but I do think he can be the lead runner. Maybe not the whole year, but I think he can emerge as the
61:38lead runner >> the back half of the season or whatever.
61:41I mean, he was like surprisingly explosive. Yeah. last season, which I you know the I guess the the like
61:52injuries that he the that he dealt with in in college and and like coming off that injury I believe in his final year
61:59like didn't look super explosive as a runner and and I think maybe the the injury stuff kind of explains that. But
62:07then last year, you know, kind of fully healthy looked quite good. And so if we're just seeing that on a consistent basis, week to
62:17week, like Shawn Shawn McVey has no problem kind of handing the keys over more often to to whoever is uh is giving
62:28them a better chance at winning.
62:31>> Yeah. I mean, this team has Super Bowl aspirations and they're going to have one of the best defenses in a long time
62:38potentially. Um, and so I mean, positive game script's going to be there for sure. Uh, they also passed a ton around
62:48the goal line. I wonder, you know, how much that shifts? We could see a lot of rushing touchdowns.
62:54Uh, >> Lemon >> Lemon, man, let's go.
63:00Did you see that video of a a guy who looks like Mai Lemon being weird at a at a restaurant?
63:05>> No.
63:06There was some fake Mai Lemon FUD that went around of like look at this dude.
63:12He's like listening to music like a It's like a like kind of thing. Yeah.
63:19>> He's just like [laughter] >> and they're like this guy man.
63:23>> It's like dude Lemon what a weirdo. But it's like not Mai Lemon [laughter] some other guy.
63:30Dude, when he came back to practice and he's doing the little like foot little foot thing that they do with the like
63:38grid that they've got laid out on the ground.
63:42>> He's doing the like quick toe tapping stuff.
63:45>> That looked insane, man. That looked like prime Michael Flattley out there. I would say we've the hardest
63:55that we have like of all players, we have the most weak one brain on Mai Lemon.
64:01>> Like this guy was a truly awesome uh prospect and he's going to be a starter out of the slot day one, but like
64:10because he's like behind Wix in two wide receiver sets, we he's in the ninth round.
64:19Luther Burton was behind and actually behind Olita Zakius and was about 10 picks cheaper. [laughter] Like what are we doing?
64:34>> Well, >> yeah.
64:37>> I I think we could do it at this >> I think we do >> at this price here.
64:41>> Yeah.
64:41>> Yeah.
64:42>> Someone asked for a final prediction on the Jacob situation.
64:47uh >> probably six games, right?
64:49>> Probably six games. I think I would expect that we see a six game suspension.
64:53Um but that he does play this year at this point given that he was able to move up his trial date. Drew Davenport
65:00talked about that being uncommon and he seemed more optimistic uh that we get Jacobs playing this year as a result
65:10of that trial date moving up, which probably indicates that, you know, they're working towards a plea. I think the NFL basically through Sher was like,
65:19you have to get this wrapped up if you want to play this year.
65:23>> And then he we've seen, you know, something pretty damn actionable for getting this resolved.
65:30>> What are the by-weeks that we have on the other running backs?
65:35>> Cory weeks, we've got uh 13, 10,
65:41uh 11, and five. Okay.
65:47>> So, not so bad. Uh, we'll have most of these guys. I mean, I could see Jacobs getting hit with an eightgame suspension
65:55as well. It's not I don't I don't have a ton of confidence in sixth. And and I would I think there's a chance he
66:02doesn't play this year still where this just kind of drags on and on. He can't get the court system to cooperate and
66:07the NFL is not willing to let him play until there's a resolution.
66:11So it still comes with risk but >> but they the his team is the one that pushed to to get this court date sooner.
66:20Right.
66:21>> Correct. Correct. And and like right after talk from sheer about um I don't see how this gets resolved until after this
66:31court date which would have been 10 weeks into the se his court date his and its initial appearance. So, it's like,
66:38you know, potentially nothing would have resolved uh at that point anyway.
66:44So, seems to me like the NFL was was telling him to to get a move on with the the case because he's going to get
66:52suspended before he plays and they're not going to suspend him until they have something to definitive to suspend him on.
67:06Uh, all right. This is a choice I've been faced with so often.
67:12>> I'm good with either guy. Uh >> what what are your thoughts?
67:17>> I'd be I'd be good with either guy or Chris Rodriguez, I think, would be another possible option.
67:24>> I think we we want like the more steady option. The steadiest option is who I think we go with.
67:31>> All right, Rashad. Yeah, let's do Rashad White because I what I the the thing with Rodriguez is he might be like a terrible
67:41pick.
67:43>> Um but I he could also be an awesome pick. Yeah, >> you could get the Jaguar starter, >> but on a team like this where we have,
67:50you know, we have Jacobs as we just took on a lot of risk there, but if it works, it's going to, you know, he he's going
67:57to play a bunch down the stretch. And uh we also have Cororm who's more of a home run swing. We have Brooks who's more of
68:04a later season swing. So to me that the purpose of this pick here was like steady Eddie production.
68:11Um I think I think White and Jones fit that better than Rodriguez.
68:20>> Yeah. What what what do you think the the range of outcomes is for for Rashad White?
68:28I think at a minimum he's going to have a passcatching role uh that can be helpful in PPR
68:36and then I think he has the potential to pick up the slack if JCM disappoints. if he's just not a consistent runner, if
68:46he's getting stuffed in short yardage, I think I think White could have like a a pretty nice high value touch role where
68:54he's getting receptions and short yardage work um over the course of the year, you know, as well. I think you could it's it's not
69:03entirely implausible for Bill to get phased out and you have but you probably have Kron picking up some of the slack
69:09in that kind of real downside outcome for Bill. So, I I don't think White has massive upside, but I do think he could
69:17he could be helpful on a team like this, >> dog. Let's take Jordan Tyson.
69:21>> Dude, should we just win $3 million?
69:26>> For for a while, I was thinking [sighs] like, let's get second. I'd like for one of mine to win the $3 million, but
69:35you know, kind kind of way that this is going like, all right, >> it's like, yeah, >> I'll take second. one and a half a bit.
69:45I like how you're rooting against our team because you don't want to split it.
69:52I' I've already thought about scenarios where [laughter] where like where where we have one and I have one and then I have like another
70:01one with with a maybe like Tom Everett Scott, right? And we're like we're all together watching these and and sweating these
70:09in. Like how how much do you celebrate when something good happens for your solo team? How much do you celebrate with the other guy when something good
70:17happens uh for your for [snorts] for for the team that you share?
70:23Like really putting the card before the great the great the great thing about uh counting all your eggs before they hatch
70:32is like you know exactly how many chickens you're going to have.
70:37>> I do like the idea of stress sweating.
70:40Like you're like, "Oh man, like it's gonna be tough when I'm sweating." like my personal $3 million sweat versus the one I have with Tom Everett Scott. Like,
70:49is he going to be offended if I'm overtly sweating mine over our shared sweat? [laughter] Uh, >> it's a good problem to have, you know.
71:02>> I'll take it. I'll deal with it.
71:04>> So, Bryce Young pops up here. We've got two Panthers. We only have one quarterback. Yeah, we got >> I think he makes a lot of sense for the
71:12team.
71:13>> Gotta pull the trigger on our short king.
71:15>> Let's do it.
71:17So, at this point, for the audio listeners, we are through round 13.
71:23We've got two quarterbacks, six running backs, five wide receivers. Have not drafted a tight end yet. The sidekick now flooded with tight end options. But
71:30the running backs are Ashton Genty, Bucky Irving, Jonathan Brooks, Blake Cororm, Josh Jacobs, and Rashad White.
71:38at quarterback Drake May who is unstacked. Uh but we'll see. Maybe we'll do a little late tack on there. Um and
71:47then Bryce Young, who we have with McMillan and Jonathan Brooks at receiver, JSN, Z Flowers, Tedro McMillan, Mai Lemon, and Jordan Tyson.
71:57This team is super fun.
72:00>> I love it.
72:04I've already come to grips that none of my teams are winning that 3M.
72:08>> [clears throat] >> You're devastated by how good this team is.
72:14>> Yeah, [laughter] the rest of the draft I I just got to try and tank it.
72:20>> I'm not even going to do those 50.
72:21>> Let's go David Nooku here.
72:25>> You just trying to tank our team?
72:26>> I'm actually becoming a really big Oscar Delt guy and I don't want anyone else to snipe him.
72:34>> We We have some crazy value photos.
72:40>> This team's too good, dude.
72:44>> The entire room is just like colluding to make [laughter] sure you end up with this awesome team out of spite for old GB.
72:54>> Is Rashad White expensive George Helani?
72:56I think that's a reasonable way to frame it with the idea though that you get a full season of the Halaness. Uh, it's
73:05like if there was no Zack Charbanet, then I think you could you could compare them. Also, Rashad White has done more
73:12over his career than Helani. So, I'm a little more confident, but I think it is Helani-esque in certain ways.
73:18>> Is uh Terrence Ferguson available?
73:21>> Uh, let's see if the old T Fergs available.
73:27>> No.
73:28>> Oh, wow. Okay. Well, I guess I can't.
73:33You go strange. Yeah. Yeah.
73:38>> Yeah. Ferguson. Let's see where he went.
73:40>> Where did we go?
73:43>> He went in the 12th >> 1210. God, >> look at look at what you've done.
73:51>> Clip that. Senator Davis. [laughter] >> A Davis likes.
73:57>> Yeah. After I started talking about him.
73:59>> Yeah. [laughter] You should you should get like uh you should find some very bullish Terren
74:10Ferguson quote and then uh figure out if Davis actually started touting him after after you posted it.
74:18>> Started started theory that that that big Ferguson quote like one of the big ones we got from uh Sean McVey was in I believe early
74:28February.
74:30>> Okay. Yeah. And I believe my very first baseball millionaire draft that I did Terence Ferguson final round.
74:39>> I believe that Davis is pretty protected on the Fergus Ferguson touting wars.
74:44Now, I I would argue he's not protected and in fact exposed, but um if you wanna if you want to make the case that it's
74:50good to be super out in front on Ferguson, then and certainly when he was free, he was clearly a good pick, but he
74:57took him in his very first draft of of uh which I guess was during the the championship games.
75:04>> Right. Right. Right. Right. The the big board, right?
75:06>> Yeah, the big board.
75:07>> Let's do AJ Barner.
75:09>> Love it, man. No tight ends through 13 and then we get Brentton Strange past ADP about a round past ADP and then AJ
75:18Barner.
75:19>> That's nice.
75:19>> Uh I'm into that. And you know what? AJ Barner is a bringback dude.
75:26>> And a build we're building on the stack with JSN. So we've got this this Carolina Seahawks game.
75:33>> Uh un unexpectedly high scoring. You know, injuries happen. The Seahawks defense takes a little little step back by the end of the year.
75:42>> If if I'm setting that over under right now, Seahawks Panthers week 17, I'd say probably like 89 and a half points.
75:51>> I was going to say 51 is my extreme.
75:54>> You want [laughter] 89.
75:57>> Uh, and then for the second half, probably >> oh, >> like probably get some more some more grinded out. I'd say like 70 70 and a
76:06half for the second half.
76:09>> Yeah, 70 and a half. That's a little more reasonable. Yeah.
76:13>> Yeah.
76:20>> Let's just have him put it on Madden rookie mode for a game.
76:24>> Dude, that would be great. Just rookie mode it.
76:31you you know what could contribute to a very very highscoring affair is what Sam Sherman was talking about on
76:41your podcast I think just a couple weeks ago on that sphere except they have two different planes one for the offense one
76:48for the crash >> we were done with the crash I thought we made it through I [laughter] thought we didn't have to talk about the crash
76:56anymore Oh god. Uh, Doulich here, I think, makes sense.
77:04>> He does. Let's do it.
77:05>> Let's do it.
77:07>> All right. Three straight tight ends.
77:09>> Boom.
77:10>> The room is obliging. We need a tight end here. Uh, and we've gotten three straight at pretty good prices.
77:18>> Yeah, this will be a actually a pretty pretty decent little tight end room.
77:23Very much so.
77:26What uh what's what's going on at receiver?
77:32>> What have we got?
77:32>> Receiver. We've got uh Vele, Hunter, Cooper, Tla, Cup. It's getting pretty thin. Uh Cooper and and
77:42Hunter guys we still like here now that they're at prices where you're not asking for a lot. I mean, we talked
77:49about McMillan earlier. He's already gone now multiple rounds by the time we pick.
77:56And so, yeah, I think it's like, hey, you know what would be cool if we got like a couple good weeks from this guy.
78:01I I do think first round pick is a pretty uh I don't know if you guys know Omar Cooper also went in the first
78:07round. [laughter] It's like a little bit of, you know, selective reasoning here, right? with like Jiren Price last pick of the first
78:18round might be better than Jeremiah Love. Omar Cooper taken a few picks earlier.
78:26Basically undraftable. [laughter] Oh, okay. I think I'm going to draft him actually.
78:38Might get our shot here.
78:48I do find this Omar Cooper Price to be >> truly confounding. I I understand the Hunter stuff where it requires some optimism that the Jaguars will
78:58stick to a plan they've repeatedly said they're planning to stick to, but you know, if they don't stick to the plan,
79:05you are kind of screwed. So, I get it.
79:07you know, you you don't want to draft a quarterback. Uh I feel you, you know, if you're fading,
79:16but Cooper, what's what's the concern exactly?
79:22I know it's the Jets, but like he's he's a first round pick who again is going to be a starter out of the slot
79:30like, you know, this week in six days.
79:34So, we're going to see him playing in the slot.
79:37Um, I don't think Omar Cooper is like some sort of emerging superstar type of guy, but I think this price he's barely in
79:46the top 200 picks. It really doesn't make sense to me. It's I don't know.
79:51Yeah, some of these guys as they just start sliding that that slide doesn't really stop.
80:01Um, >> yeah, >> especially if there's like a little bit of FUD >> surrounding them. Same kind of thing that we're seeing with like Bree Hall
80:10who's on the same team, right? Like picked up the the groin injury. We got some like Aaron Glenn, I love all three
80:18guys type stuff, but then also Frank Reich being like, he's a bellcow for us.
80:23And then like that doesn't even affect his price. He just still keeps slipping into the fourth round.
80:32Yeah. Yeah. I don't know. The Jets stink. It's real. But dude, I I'm going to pull up their schedule in a minute
80:39here once we once we make our pick.
80:42>> Coler.
80:43>> Yeah. Let's go, man. Coler has finally moved up a little, but still in the 18th round. Not exactly expensive. Uh might
80:50might have the starting tight end for the the Chargers there in a way that actually matters. Um yeah. So, let me just pull up
81:00the schedule for the Jets because it really is wild how many easy games they have. Um,
81:09I wrote up, uh, for anyone still drafting, I I wrote up over the weekend, um, an article on the running backs
81:17going in rounds three through five. And this is this was one of my takeaways of like, man, the Jets schedule, I mean,
81:24they play the Titans week one, they get the Browns week five, they get the Dolphins week seven, they get the Raiders week eight, they get the
81:33Dolphins again week 12, they get the Cardinals week 15. uh very, you know, it left me feeling like, hey, this team
81:40might actually be able to be like close to 500, you know, early in the season in a way that's keeping Gino Smith as the
81:49quarterback and things aren't completely falling apart. Um, and then, you know, ultimately they're not going to be good, but they it might
82:00not be just a total disaster.
82:04Do you want to do pop here? Stack >> pop with May.
82:08>> I'm happy to take pop here.
82:12>> Get that get that May stack in there.
82:14Now, did it hurt you to suggest such a fun pick for the week 17 final since you're going to be anti sweating this
82:22team?
82:26I'm just really scared of this 60 point game we're [laughter] going to get from the Seahawks and Panthers.
82:38>> Do you do you actually like Pop Douglas or was that your attempt to sabotage?
82:42>> No, no, [laughter] I like I like Pop. Uh obviously he's he's a guy who is kind of sensitive to personnel
82:52groupings. He's not going to play very many two receiver sets, but figures to be like a pretty
83:01um pretty big slot guy for them in 11 personnel. We we'll see how much Kyle Williams plays this year in in three receiver
83:11sets. But um yeah, >> I honestly don't even think Kyle Williams is a slot, though. I think they're going to put Kyle Williams in to
83:18give AJ Brown a breather and just have him run go routes.
83:22Like I I really Yeah. I mean >> I was think I was thinking like three receiver sets where um like Dobs moves in
83:31>> to the inside for like a big thing >> and and Brown will move in some as well.
83:36I think so. Yeah, you're right about that. You're definitely right about that.
83:40>> The other thing with Pop is that they're going to play some 12 and maybe a good amount of 12. So that could be,
83:48>> you know, he didn't have very strong rout participation last year and I'm not sure he will this year either, but I
83:55could also I could see him being one, he gets used downfield in some fun ways.
84:01Um, and I could definitely see that continuing. Uh, and then two, you know, this is a an offense that has used kind
84:07of this underneath slot guy, you know, as a a key part of what they've done. I could see that continuing as well.
84:16Uh Darnell Washington's here. Tavon Sanders as a stack. Uh >> I'd be into into Washington or doing the like Kyle Williams with
84:27>> I'd be fine with that. We have four tight ends. I think >> we want to go with the Okay. Kyle
84:33Williams. It is.
84:35>> You got a bunch of Darnell Washington, too, huh?
84:37>> Yeah. Oh, I mean this guy This guy let you play like it's the 90s. I don't know if you heard about that. I think I can't
84:44remember where I saw that. It was in some Discord. Yeah. Uh but someone's been been posting quotes all summer about Mike McCarthy saying, "This guy
84:54makes me feel like I'm young again."
84:59When I when I >> when I see this guy out on the field, just makes makes me want to put on a
85:06slap bracelet.
85:10I Yeah, but watching Darnell Washington play, it fills me with vigor. Makes me want to just stick it up in there. I
85:18mean, [laughter] did you did you see there was a It's like we we got that press conference where they asked McCarthy about Darnell
85:26Washington. Like they just mention his name. goes. And then there was one with um there's a podcast recently with one of the with the players and one of the
85:37players asks his teammates. He was like, "Hey, this uh Darnell Washington and and one of the players responds like like it's the same reaction from everyone."
85:48And and Darnell Washington did >> out snap uh Fri when they were playing together in the preseason. So, I yeah, I
85:56mean, there's there's a chance we see him as the inline Y tight end >> in uh in in 11 personnel and then
86:04obviously he'll be out there in 12 personnel. So, to get this guy in the final round, they really >> we didn't we took Kyle Williams.
86:11>> Oh, that's [laughter] where he's going in the final round.
86:17>> You're like talking I'm like I really wish we took him down. [laughter] Now I'm Now I think we're we're probably
86:21this team's probably dead to win. So, this is a second this was your second place. Yeah, >> you successfully steered us the second
86:28>> Washington. That is the part where I think maybe people um you know because he he's free, right? Uh but I think the
86:34reason I take him >> uh >> is I I do think he's live to be their starting tight end in 11.
86:40>> Yeah. And he goes undrafted >> still quite a bit. Like look right here.
86:44Does not go drafted. Uh high yards per route run.
86:49>> Yep.
86:49>> Missed.
86:50>> Dude, he he's awesome. like when his when the ball's in his hands, he is so fun to watch. I recognize that he's
86:56mostly like most of his awesomeness is like awesomeness that like is kind of more or less him being like the tight
87:05end Joe Alt, you know what [laughter] I mean? Like it's not it's not fantasy awesomeness.
87:11>> Yeah.
87:11>> But uh [laughter] it's still pretty fun.
87:15Uh and then he actually can catch the ball as well. So >> yeah. All right, man. We did it. We uh
87:23we made it through the the entire summer sharing some some fun actual coach speak nuggets, drafting some good teams, drafting a a second place team for for
87:35$2 million here. Uh good luck to your your Tom Everett Scott team, which apparently is finishing third, and then you're solo shipping this for $3 million
87:43is is what you told me before.
87:44>> Yep. The stream. [clears throat] So So good luck. Happy to share uh a $2 million second place prize with you
87:50though on this team today.
87:52>> Old Pat stuck at 2 million. Can't get over that 2 million mark.
87:56>> It's a it's a real curse, dude. Let me tell you.
88:00>> I don't know what's going on.
88:05Yeah. But uh thanks again to everyone watching and you know who's been with us all summer. Really really enjoyed this uh new addition to uh to the channel. Uh
88:15excited to to run this back next year.
88:17If you're down, >> I'm down. Let's do it.
88:19>> Let's do it.
88:19>> Breaking news.
88:20>> Um speaking of running stuff back, I will be uh doing the angles and upside podcast with Rich Rebard again this year
88:28as we we break down the weekly slate. Um so I'll I'll talk with Rich about our plans for this week, but but absolutely
88:36week two going forward, we'll we'll be doing it. So uh yeah, excited for that to return. That was a ton of fun last
88:43year. And uh yeah, can get into the regular season grind here. We got football in two days, Patriots playing.
88:53See if Kyle Williams and Deari Douglas can hit the ground running and uh and help us ship this thing. But thanks
88:59again. We'll be uh we'll be doing lots more content. You uh you want to tell people what you got going on here for
89:05for inseason stuff?
89:07>> Yeah. uh at coachspeakindex online uh the coacheindex discord where I put all the notes from all these head coach offensive coordinator general manager
89:16pressers uh not going to do a weekly podcast this year but I think uh instead what I'm going to do is uh create a
89:25channel in the discord where I just drop in some uh some like audio uh kind of memos and just kind of kind of recapping
89:34some of the bigger >> coach speak that's that's been going on and breaking that down every every few days or so and definitely on like
89:41Saturdays before before the games.
89:44>> Awesome. All right. Uh and then yeah, over Legendary Upside, we'll we'll have Inseason ranks, my my weekly walkthrough article uh every week this year. So, um
89:55yeah, excited to uh to finally have some football that we can digest and analyze.
90:00So, thanks again. We'll see you guys later. Good luck this season.
