Cam Skattebo is a three-down back who is underrated as a receiver; Jackson Dart notes that while some compare him to fullbacks like Peyton Hillis, he is actually a true bell cow. His receiving ability was a key driver of his fantasy success last season prior to his injury. His current fifth-round ADP is an overreaction to coaching concerns; he has the potential to crush this value even with reduced receiving volume, provided he maintains a similar overall role. His close friendship with franchise quarterback Jackson Dart further underscores his importance to the team.

0:00I I am worried about Harbaugh and Nagy
0:02utilizing Scat back in a way that aligns
0:05with the way that like you would think
0:08if you only saw Cam Scat back run the
0:10ball
0:11you'd be like oh I totally get it. And
0:14you do totally get it
0:17from the perspective of what he is as a
0:19runner.
0:20But he's also really good receiver and
0:22that's that's a important part of Scat
0:24back's profile one that I think was
0:26underrated coming out. Um
0:29and one that led to a lot of his fantasy
0:31success last season before the injury.
0:34It's like no dude this is a three down
0:36type of player. He's not just a two down
0:38hammer. He's being compared to like
0:40fullbacks and you know Payton Hillis and
0:42stuff like that when he was coming in
0:43the league. Like
0:44no no no like he is he he is that guy as
0:47a runner but he is actually much closer
0:49to like a three down bell cow type of
0:51guy than that and my concern is that
0:55they
0:57just kind of view him as as a two down
0:58hammer. Which would be kind of dumb but
1:03you know I don't I don't think a ton of
1:05of Nagy especially here and and I could
1:07see them pigeon holing him you know
1:10again because of the stylistic stuff
1:12that you do get with Scat back. So it to
1:15me feels like
1:16a frustrated coach in August. I'm not
1:20sure that it's going to as far as like
1:22opening up the door for like is is Scat
1:24back
1:25going to be a big part of the team? Is
1:27Nagy going to take his job?
1:29Which Scat back's fallen since this
1:32quote. Like you can get him in the fifth
1:33round. It's not every draft but you can
1:35get him in the fifth round. And
1:38that's feels like a little bit of an
1:39overreaction to me. I I think there's
1:41some risk with Scat back but
1:43if he has the type of role he did last
1:44year he's going to absolutely crush a
1:46fifth round ADP and he can beat a fifth
1:48round ADP even if he doesn't have as
1:49much receiving as he did last year.
1:52>> Yeah really really good in the in the
1:54pass game. All I I I think
1:58it also carries a little bit of weight
1:59that this guy is like best friends with
2:01with Jackson Dart, the franchise
2:03quarterback
2:05there.
2:06Um
2:07he's he's a hammer at the goal line.
2:10He just like your team has a better
2:12chance of winning when he's on the
2:14field.
