Hampton was on the verge of a breakout as a rookie in 2025 before a freak injury derailed his season. Against the New York Giants in Week 4, he had 128 rushing yards on 12 carries, including a 54-yard touchdown, demonstrating elite potential. The next week, he suffered an ankle fracture from a kick by Washington Commanders linebacker Frankie Luvu and did not play again until Week 14. Down the stretch, he suffered another ankle injury and did not play in Week 18, with just one carry in a playoff loss to New England. If he can stay healthy, he has a chance to be one of the best running backs in the league, especially paired with Mike McDaniel's creative run-game scheme.
