Fifth-round pick Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins played about 250 snaps on defense in 2025 with near-average PFF grades. The source notes he wasn't particularly productive in tackles, run stops, or quarterback pressures, but when his performance was relevant, he was helpful more often than not by defending his gap and helping teammates make plays. He won with athleticism but lost to bigger, stronger offensive linemen due to being undersized. The source projects at least modest improvements this season as he gets stronger in the Vikings' program. Notably, offseason reports indicate he's being looked at to play outside as an edge rusher rather than interior DL, though his 2025 tape shows he mostly played outside the tackle already. The source sees a potential role for him as an early-down edge rusher.NegativeRoleJul 7, 2026
A fifth-round pick out of Georgia in 2025, Ingram-Dawkins is the only drafted player on the edge depth chart behind starters Andrew Van Ginkel and Dallas Turner; he's moving over after playing inside as a 5-tech defensive end last season with a higher pass rush win rate inside (17.6%) than on edge snaps (8.0%), and will get increased chances in 2026 given no Vikings edge rusher played more than 67% of snaps last season.
