Jacobs faces 4-6 game suspension; Lloyd takes over as lead back.

Placed on commissioner exempt list amidst domestic violence allegations. Initial court date moved up from November to September 10. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports Jacobs 'could be looking at a 4-6 game suspension' after being activated from the exempt list. Fact that court appearance was moved up near start of regular season could provide league additional motivation to levy suspension pending outcome. Don't expect Jacobs on field any time soon, leaving MarShawn Lloyd as lead back in interim.
