Beckham released by Giants after minimal usage; role/scheme mismatch cited.

Beckham was released by the Giants after receiving just one target and zero catches over three games (20 snaps total). Giants head coach John Harbaugh stated the decision was not about Beckham's ability but rather the team's inability to get him on the field and produce results: 'It just wasn't working for us. I told him I wanted to be able to get more. I wanted him to be able to do more. I wanted to get him on the field more.' The team needed 'more out of that [roster] spot,' indicating a role/usage mismatch.
