Look at what DeVaughn Vele has done with that opportunity. He has 21 receptions for 226 yards and two touchdowns through four games. Vele has been more than serviceable, but Tyson was the eighth overall pick because he offers another level of separation and playmaking.

Vele's 21 catches through four games are solid but vulnerable to Tyson's return.

Vele has produced 21 receptions for 226 yards and two touchdowns through four games in the Saints' high-volume passing offense (second in offensive plays, first with 45 pass attempts per game). The source characterizes him as more than serviceable, but notes that Jordyn Tyson, the eighth overall pick, offers another level of separation and playmaking and could eventually absorb some of those routes and targets when healthy.
