Pierce called up to active roster; expected to rotate in behind Shipley in Week 5.

Dameon Pierce is being called up from the practice squad to the active roster due to Eagles backfield injuries; the source notes Pierce is the more accomplished player in terms of regular season production, looked good early in training camp before getting banged up, and flashed again upon returning from injury. Pierce also has experience returning kickoffs with a strong 32.8 career average. At this point, it looks like Shipley will start in Week 5 with Pierce rotating in.
