STACKED’s take

Negative signalRole

Herbert's passing style misaligned with McDaniel's system on Chargers.

Herbert's passing style doesn't work well with Mike McDaniel's system on the Chargers, who have regressed from rank 9 to 30 (-21 spots). Despite the Chargers ranking ninth in static score (schematic efficiency), the scheme doesn't fit Herbert as a passer, and the overall design lacks rhythm.
