Hurts operating in broken Eagles offense amid depleted roster and coaching dysfunction.

Jalen Hurts was drafted in 2020 as part of the Eagles' recent draft strategy, but the source notes that the Eagles' 2019-2020 draft classes (13 picks outside of Hurts and Miles Sanders) were largely a waste, leaving the roster depleted. The 2026 Eagles offense has fallen apart despite being built on the offensive line, and Hurts is operating within a broken offensive system with a limping defense and depleted roster that wasn't as good as originally thought.
