Smith completed only 53.3% of his passes in Week 4 against Chicago (8-for-15, 119 yards, 1 TD), a significant dip from his strong accuracy in the first three games of the season. Fifty-eight of his 119 yards came on a fourth-quarter touchdown pass to Isaiah Williams. Brian Costello notes it was a surprise to see Smith so inaccurate given accuracy had been his strength early in the season, and while the 23-12 loss cannot be pinned entirely on Smith, he was one of the culprits.
