The Athletic Football Show on Patrick Mahomes

Mahomes' passing efficiency is a major concern after a DOA first half

The Chiefs' passing game under Patrick Mahomes was largely ineffective, with Mahomes completing only 8 of 18 passes for 62 yards in the first half and failing to complete a single pass beyond the sticks. Despite a second-half surge, the source remains worried about the passing offense's viability, noting that 18.5% of their passes were to the sticks, an untenable number compared to the league average of 39%.
