Undrafted Daniels escaped pressure and led long opening drive; Cowboys couldn't contain him.

Daniels, an undrafted free agent starting at quarterback, escaped the pocket to his right on a critical third-and-4 in the first quarter to get the first down running, wiping away a potential 3-and-out. He led the Buccaneers on a 10:58 opening drive that resulted in a field goal. Throughout the game, Daniels overcame repeated penalties by his offense and was not brought to the ground regularly by the Cowboys defense, which also struggled to cover his receivers.
