Bootleg Football on Fernando Mendoza

Mendoza has the tools to start early if the offense struggles under Cousins.

Mendoza is a highly drafted rookie with strong physical tools, pocket presence, and the ability to pick up tough yards as a runner. Early preseason results suggest he is ready to handle rookie lumps and be effective, though the team's current plan is to start Kirk Cousins. The coaching staff and organization need to see positive progression from him, and there is a strong likelihood he takes over the starting role if the offense struggles or if the locker room demands a change.
