Week 13 bye may be too late; tough schedule (4 top-12 defenses in 5 games) complicates timing

Brent Sobleski notes that a Week 13 bye may be too late for the No. 1 overall pick to get meaningful snaps; the Raiders face four of the league's top 12 defenses over the next five games (plus Denver's talented unit), forcing a decision on whether Mendoza is ready to face elite competition or if the team should wait until December when the schedule softens.
