Cowing logged heavy snaps in Week 5; ankle injury cleared, positioned for volume.

Jacob Cowing played a heavy number of snaps in Week 5 behind Mike Evans as the 49ers dealt with receiver injuries. Cowing is among the team's top depth options, though he suffered an ankle injury in the same game that initially caused snap totals to drop; he was cleared to play. With the receiver room depleted, Cowing is expected to see significant volume going forward.
