Yahoo Fantasy Football on Jordan Mason
From the article
Mason has spent the last month on IR, but is pacing to be activated in Week 7 when the Vikings return from bye. While his 31-year-old teammate Aaron Jones Sr. (turns 32 in December) has emerged as a workhorse in Mason's absence, that's not a sustainable approach.
STACKED’s take
Mason's return from IR with soft schedule and Jones's durability concerns make him a buy-low RB3 with RB2 upside.
Mason has spent the last month on IR but is pacing to be activated in Week 7 when the Vikings return from bye. While Aaron Jones Sr. (31, turning 32 in December) has emerged as a workhorse in Mason's absence, that's not sustainable; Jones has battled soft-tissue injuries for several seasons, raising durability concerns over a 17-game campaign after handling heavy volume recently. In their only game together, Mason saw more carries, turning 15 touches into 59 yards and a score. Minnesota has leaned on its rushing attack and now has one of the five softest remaining schedules for fantasy RBs. Mason is only rostered in 67% of leagues and may be available as a free agent in shallower formats; if not, this is the last chance to trade for him as a fantasy RB3 with sneaky RB2 ceiling.
