Negative signalDepth Chart

Shepard's depth chart role diminishes as Patrick, Cooper, and Mitchell return to health.

Shepard's depth chart standing is precarious; the source concludes that despite proving he can step in and perform with the Jets, Tim Patrick's return to health and the expected returns of Omar Cooper and Adonai Mitchell mean 'it might be some time before he is needed again.' He has been elevated twice from the practice squad and is eligible for one more elevation before requiring a 53-man roster spot.
