Field Gulls on Jaxon Smith-Njigba

JSN is Seattle's only consistent passing threat; defenses willing to let him feast while shutting down rest of offense

JSN is the only consistent passing threat in Seattle's offense; defenses have largely figured out how to shut down the rest of the Seahawks' attack and are willing to let JSN feast while neutralizing everything else. The source notes that for nearly a full season (dating back to the homestretch of last year), the passing offense has not been particularly sharp outside of JSN, and opposing defenses have turned the play-action money machine off. Defenses can now blitz and pressure Darnold without respecting the run, and they can even live with JSN feasting if it means nothing else of note gets accomplished.
