The source acknowledges there are compelling reasons to want to see Ty Simpson start for the Rams in 2026, but argues against benching Stafford at 2-4 because the team still has hope and a chance to execute their intended vision. However, the source notes that if the Rams continue taking steps back, they might as well see if Simpson can help move them forward, positioning him as a contingency option if the team's record deteriorates further.
