STACKED’s take

Positive signalProjection

Simpson outperformed Manning in 2025 and got extra development year with Rams.

Simpson, drafted 13th overall by Rams in 2026, was a better player than Arch Manning in 2025 by a significant margin. Rams drafted him higher than other teams would have valued him due to opportunity cost and lack of expected high first-round pick in 2027 (they later traded it for Myles Garrett). Simpson's extra year of development and NFL coaching in 2026 may result in a better prospect than any available in 2027 QB class.
