Yahoo Fantasy Football on Cam Skattebo
From the article
Cam Skattebo was one of my favorite plays heading into the weekend, considering the glorious matchup with the Saints ... and instead John Harbaugh decided to punish him for recent fumbling issues with zero touches on the entire day.
STACKED’s take
Skattebo benched for fumbles with zero touches; RB2 status now in jeopardy.
Skattebo was one of the source's favorite plays heading into Week 6 given the glorious matchup with the Saints, but John Harbaugh decided to punish him for recent fumbling issues with zero touches on the entire day despite playing six snaps. The Giants' other running backs totaled just 34 yards on 14 carries, with J.J. McCarthy being their leading rusher in one quarter, resulting in a 34-27 loss. While the optimistic perspective would be that this was a one-week lesson and he'd work back into the RB1 role, that seems like wishful thinking given he had just 3.6 yards per carry on the year outside the fumbles. Skattebo is no longer in the RB2 conversation and it's not impossible he loses all fantasy relevance in the coming weeks.
