I do want to say I don't think Caleb Williams is 100% himself just yet. He has a 5.9 yard AOT this season. He was at 9.2 last year. I think that also coincides with Caleb Williams being a little bit more of a checkown friendly quarterback right now.

Conservative play-calling and checkdown-heavy approach

The source believes Williams is not yet 100% himself, citing a significant drop in average intended air yards (AOT) from 9.2 last year to 5.9 this season. While the offense is currently playing conservatively with a focus on inside-the-10-yard-line runs, his shift toward being a more checkdown-friendly quarterback is currently benefiting his receivers' target volume.
