only two official drops, but going back and watching those targets, I felt like there were five plays pretty easily on film where you would have liked to see a true number one receiver such as AJ Brown come down with it. Those five plays could have equaled out to roughly 80 yards and a touchdown... officially did drop a nine yard touchdown in the back of the end zone... Drake May threw a beautiful pass. Unfortunately, it looked like AJ Brown maybe was too worried about the sideline. Kind of alligator armed it.

Patriots WR had brutal Week 6: 5 catchable plays, 80 yards and TD lost to drops
Patriots WR had a brutal Week 6 with only 2 official drops but Ian Hartitz identified 5 catchable plays on film that a true number-one receiver should have secured; those 5 plays represented roughly 80 yards and a touchdown in lost production. Officially dropped a 9-yard touchdown in the back of the end zone while trying to get two feet down. Also had an unofficial drop going down the sideline with a couple steps of separation where Drake May threw a beautiful pass but Brown appeared to alligator arm it; would have been a 40+ yard gain, potentially a 61-yard touchdown. Additionally dropped an onside kick recovery at game's end. Hartitz emphasizes this was an unusually bad day and notes Drake May is playing well, suggesting the connection is solid despite the poor performance.
