Diggs elevated to true No. 1 receiver role with McLaurin out for season.

With Terry McLaurin sidelined for the 2026 season due to a torn patellar tendon, Stefon Diggs is positioned to assume the true No. 1 receiver role for the Commanders. Head coach Dan Quinn acknowledged that the team has a deep receiving corps but emphasized the need for Diggs to step into McLaurin's workload and leadership vacuum. The source notes that while others will fill in, McLaurin's unique ability and leadership cannot be replaced, making Diggs the primary beneficiary of the increased target share and offensive role.
