Mattek Fantasy Football on Austin Ekeler

Ekeler limited to seven snaps; McNichols taking short-yardage role.

Ekeler played only seven snaps in the Commanders game and actually played less than Jeremy McNichols. Omar Cooper Jr. does not think Ekeler is going to have a big role going forward, especially with McNichols emerging in the short-yardage and goal-line role. Cooper suggests Ekeler may need another week to get up to speed, with potential for increased usage in Week 8, but is not prioritizing an add this week.
