Hurts is sidelined for the foreseeable future due to a deep vein thrombosis and several blood clots in his lungs, with the expectation he will miss the remainder of the season. His last game was Oct. 11 against Jacksonville. The Eagles knew he was dealing with a blood clot in his calf in Week 5 but allowed him to play and travel back to the United States. Further testing revealed the blood clot had moved by Week 6, and subsequent ultrasounds showed multiple blood clots in his lungs, including a deep vein thrombosis and multiple pulmonary emboli.
